The Fabby LapuLapuettes Part IV: My Pineapple Needs a Refill!

Last year we even upgraded to Deluxe during free dining and loved it, although I think it took a lot of time... which was good because I tend to get too drill sargent-y and need a reason to slow down in Disney.

I am thinking of sticking to what I booked (a package with Dining) because if Disney does free dining again, which is always a good possibility, that deal will be better than the code that I am using... and I'll get to switch to the better rate.

If I book room only and buy the tickets separate without dining, if and when they announce free dining, I'll have so many of the pieces paid for in parts it'll be too late to put it all back together in a neat little package.

Just my tuppence-worth but I'm pretty sure you'll score free dining:thumbsup2 . DisneyUK were offering it for trips from 02Aug until November as long as we booked before 05Dec.....which we did:banana:   . We've never done the dining plan before and are so excited about it, let's hope the diets work so that we don't feel so guilty about all that free grub;) :rotfl2:

I recently switched insurances with my new job and with it new doctors, I mentioned all this in passing with the MRI trauma previously... turns out I have been having mini seizures (they have a fancy name that slips my mind heehee)

I know I am forgetful and scatterbrained but I just always chalked it up to three kids, blondeness, and the beginning of gray hair...

I was put on an anti-seizure medication about a month ago but it doesn't seem to be helping - at least they haven't gone away - I don't know if they have lessened because I didn't even know they were happening before :)

NJ apparently has really strict regulations regarding allowing seizure people to drive - so I will probably lose my license until I can prove I am seizure free for a year

I live in a rural enough area that there aren't bus routes or any public transportation nearby that I could rely on to get to work so if I lose my license I will probably lose my job and if I lose my job we'll lose our benefits - not just health insurance - I work for a state college where we were planning on sending our kids tuition free.

Sorry to dump all of my drama on you all... I just got back from the doctor and was hoping for better news after the last round of tests I had last week. I just thought my neurologist was being thorough.... apparently my last one was just a hack :headache:

:grouphug: Oh Becky I'm so sorry to hear that, what a rotten way to start the year for you. I'll remember you in my prayers Macushla :goodvibes

Good morning (or afternoon), Lapuettes!

Funny story to relate: this morning I had a meeting at our central office (training on how to give the same tests that I have been giving for ten years). Anyway, our county testing coordinator was doing the training and his background on his laptop was the castle in Christmas lights. Before he started the training, he spent ten minutes, I kid you not, talking about his trip to Disney, all the things to do at Christmastime there, etc. I just sat in the back grinning to myself and sipping my coffee out of my Disney mug. :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Too bad the rest of the training wasn't Disney-themed. :sad2:

It's also been raining non-stop here (I swear I feel like I live in Seattle) -- so much rain in fact that the roads are becoming very flooded and the weather channel has issued a flood warning. Can we all say "Jackie has a new phobia" together? I don't know how I will get home. I think I may leave early before the heaviest rain is supposed to start back up.

I liked Georgia much better when we were in a drought.

Becky, I am so sorry about the lousy news!

Wow Becky, that's a lot of consequences for something you didn't even know was happening. Are they going to do more testing? What's next?

Oh, Becky. I am so very sorry that you are going through all of this.

  :grouphug:

Please feel free to vent/complain/yell/talk whatever you need to do with us. we are here for you.

Remember my DD9's horrible teacher that got fired? :woohoo:

Her new teacher is the exact opposite! I love this woman! Strictly in a parent-teacher relationship way, of course. :rotfl2:

Excellent! Happy to hear the good news. :thumbsup2

That's really awesome. A teacher can make or break a kid's school experience, really. My DS12 had a terrible teacher last year (so bad that we pulled him last January and home schooled the rest of the year! ). This year the one he has is fantastic and it's making all the difference.

.

Did you post that before? It sounds familiar, I can't remember, but I just watned to say I'm so glad he has a good one this year!

Morning everyone!

I'm really hating being at work today. I want everyone to come back from their holiday vacations already! It's been busy, and there is no one here working. Really annoying!

Morning! Bummer on the work thing. I have to go back tomorrow (I mean I went last week, but now I'm back to the same old routine of dropping DS at my mother's etc) and I'm SO not looking forward to it.

I'm going without a dining plan since my next trip since I'm doing a split stay, and already have 5 day passes. I'm waffling a bit about how I want to deal with food. I have to figure out if I'll be comfortable enough to eat solo.

I know some people feel weird about it but I love going out to eat by myself. Going to the movies by myself, running errands by myself. Don't get me wrong, I'm a family girl, but I really appreciate my alone time.

If you want to eat a nice sit down solo, I say go for it! :goodvibes

Very true! It's hard to judge even on one visit sometimes. Last fall I went to Ohana and loved it. Couldn't stop raving about it to everyone. I went again this August and the experience isn't quite as magical. (The service was awful and it just seemed to effect the entire meal for me). I'll probably give it another try, but not on my solo trip. (Would be way too much food for just me).

I remember that from your trip report! Yes, you never know how things will change from trip to trip either.

Morning, hon! I like how you listened while sipping from your Disney mug...you're too cute. I thought of you today. I was at WalMart, and I wanted a calendar...I know, I'm a little late on that, but anyway, they had a whole bunch of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Just in case you wanted to know that. Maybe you could dream about the Indy in the boiling hot sun with his shirt halfway open to counteract all that rain you're getting.

Just sayin'. :rolleyes1

Maybe Jim Cantore will come and visit! ;)

:lmao:

Especially with my new hipster...:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I don't know -- ever since I turned 34 I feel like I am aging by the day -- I feel so frumpy lately...:sad1:

I told my DH that I felt like I aged 10 years during this last year (I'm almost 37 :scared1: ), so I talked to my doctor about it and lo and behold, my hormones were all out of whack! Which I soon discovered is the nice way to say that I'm starting menopause.

When Jim comes to town, you know things are bad!!!

I wonder if he would rescue me if I were stranded on the top of my car...:rolleyes1

Waving your arms frantically, screaming "Jim! I'm OVER HERE!!!" ;)

I'll admit it. I'm having a really, really, really hard time with my birthday this year. I know it's just a number. I know it doesn't mean anything. But it's the end of one phase of life and the beginning of another.

Hopefully a phase with much less bs. Or at least greater tolerance on my part. I so don't want to go to work tomorrow. :lmao:

We can't believe that after such a rotten year we lucked out so much with the free dining:yay: . We're just needing to loose loads of weight before we go. We watched 'Paul McKenna - I can make you slim' last night and though it sounded too good to be true we're hoping that he's not a big fat liar (actually a wee skinny liar;) ) and that we're both going to drop a couple of dress sizes by August;)
