We are back from another wonderful visit to WDW. The experience at V&As was unbelievable!!! Words can't describe the night we encountered. I have started a TR and will do a complete review on V&As with pictures;) The link is below...stay tuned for V&As...not until Day 7 of our 10 day trip. This will certainly be a place that we return on future trips!!!

We are glad that you enjoyed your V&A experience. First-class service, food and wines (the wine pairings are essential; however, be prepared!) are the foundation of a V&A dinner. We'll be back there in several weeks.

All the best. :thumbsup2

DH and I celebrated our 5th anniversary at V&A's on 5/27. It was by far the most exquisite meal we've ever enjoyed. The food and service were remarkable. Wine pairings were definitely a must I agree. It took us just over 2 1/2 hours to dine and we loved every second of it. This experience is something that we will continue every year.

I just did a resveration on line two days ago?

So I've read through everything and I'm just trying to decide if we do the Main Dining Room or QV Dining Room and if the price difference is worth it.

The first time my DH and I tried V&A, I had a food allergy to mushrooms and had to have a special menu. We were sitting in the MDR. We also have a TiW Card, which I think can be used in the MDR as well.

I've since been tested and have passed with flying colors - no more allergy!!! YAHOO!!!!

So, we were thinking of tying the MDR again for our Holiday trip, so I can experience for the first time. However, I keep hearing great things about the QV dining room. So now I'm not sure.

Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated. I can make ressies next week.

I know that it's not really in the spirit of eating at someplace like V&A to give them dislikes when they call to ask about allergies. How would you all handle sensory aversions though? There are a few foods I just can't eat. I literally can't swallow without gagging. Tomatoes and mushrooms are two biggies for me that I suspect could be an issue. I'm ok with the taste of them, so they're fine if they're diced or something. Should I mention it? Obviously I can just avoid anything that sounds like it has a lot of either one, but will the descriptions be detailed enough?

Last time I went to V&A of the four people one could not eat any seafood, one could not eat shellfish, one could not eat cucumbers (but could eat pickles), and one could not eat chocolate. Each of us actually got separate menus, and each menu did not include any food that person could not eat.

There was no problem at all.

You can call V&A's and have them note on the ressie that you cannot eat certain foods. I've also heard that the chef will come out to talk to you and that the servers ask if there is anything you cannot eat.

We did the main dining room, but I asked our server, Chris, what the difference was between the two. This is the answer he gave us...

-4 tables
-10 courses that the chef chooses (not a choice like the mdr)
-the chef will come to the table to meet the guest
-more money, of course
-3-4 hour experience
-one of the reasons the room was created is because so many people wanted to do the Chef's table but could not get in

Now...all this being said...some of you V&A experts can probably add to this or take away...I'm just repeating what the server told us. Next time, we would actually like to try the Chef's Table...hopefully we can get in!

Good luck deciding...let us know what you decide on doing! We had such an awesome experience as I'm sure you will, too!!!

Thanks! I wasn't going to say anything it it would be a big deal. (I have some family that gives me a really hard time about it, so I'm pretty self-conscious about it.)

I'm a celiac so gluten is a no-go. It didn't faze them at all. My menu was different than hubby's but still quite wonderful. I even got bread. Now granted it was glutino rolls but they were most moist glutino rolls I had all week. Absolutely worth every penny. I am still dreaming of my duck 3 ways.

My wife and I are planning our next trip. I can't wait to eat there again.

I have eaten there twice before and enjoyed it very much.

We may try the QV room this time.

I also like the fact that you can now book on line.

We agree; in fact, we'll be at the QV room tonight.

All the best. :thumbsup2

We are really excited for our visit in July, we have the Chef's table booked, I just read a review on trip advisor that someone did the chef's table they were a party and they shared the table 4 people, that was not my impression and certainly hope this is not the case. there will be 4 of us. Anyone ever heard of sharing the chef's table?

i had booked chef's table as a present for my parents in law and DH (my niece and me stayed in the hotel to babysit my dd) and at the time of booking we were still hesitant if my DH would go with his parents or stay with me. The people of the restaurant told me i could still change this anytime, since it was private anyway. so, no, i don't think there's sharing.... maybe they were talking about victoria's room ?

CT is one reservation per night. Period! The table is designed for eight people; it may handle ten with minor crowding. If you want to do CT by yourself and can make the reservation there will not be anyone else at the table.

QVR has four tables that are each four-tops. If you have more than four people, they will cut down on the number of available tables. I believe that if you have 12 or more people it is considered a buy-out. You can do a buy-out with fewer people, but I think it would be over $2,000++.

I ate in the MDR last year by myself when I was staying at the GF for a convention. It was absolutely amazing. I am now hooked on V&A.

DS and I are going to WDW in August for his 18th birthday, and I booked the QVR for us as an extra special treat. In the past year he's become a much more adventurous eater, and I thought this would play to his budding foodie-ness. However, he is still not a fish or seafood eater. When I called to make the reservation, I spent some time speaking with a charming woman on the phone about this and whether or not the QVR ressie would be "wasted" on him. She assured me that the chef would have zero problem working with his preferences and creating a menu that would make the celebration extra special.

I've also booked the QVR for November. My husband's been working in Afghanastan for the past year and will have just gotten home when I head to WDW for my annual continuing education convention. Despite his general Disney aversion, he's going to be going along with me this year so we can spend some time reconnecting after 12 months apart. I figured there was no better way to celebrate his homecoming.

I can NOT wait! Two amazing celebrations within a few months of each other.

The Chef's Table is one booking a night, no sharing of the table with another party, ala Biergarten!
The Queen Vicky room is awesome. Initially, DH and I thought it was just another money maker scheme from Disney (which it is) but it's awesome. We spent a very leisure anniversary there last year and hopefully can do it again next year. Chef Hunnell and staff are wonderful at accommodating a variety of diets and preferences. Although, I always urge people to try, you just might like it... but at that price point, I can understand the hesitation

We just returned to our GF room after an exclusive meal in the QV room (we were the only ones in the room). It was exceptional, outstanding and memorable. However, we could not finish the entire meal: it was too much! One wine pairing was quite enough. It was our fifth VA dinner and our first in the QV room.

Clearly, a V&A dinner is in another league...and the QV room is somethig else again. Elegant dining within the confines of sophistication.

We'll be back in the main room of V&A's in December.

All the best. :thumbsup2
