The Everything Pooh Sized Thread

This is the active ingredient in Dramamine and the other OTC products for motion sickness but without the side effects such as drowsyness. I found it here on the DIS :woohoo: and it worked wonders for me when I visited the dark side last year. Thanks to all the lovely Dissers for that. My DSIL used it on her cruise last week and loved it.

You can get it OTC behind the counter at your local pharmacy counter and it is very inexpensive compared to the other products..

Hope this helps...

We use Bonine. It works very well, and doesn't make you drowsy or droopy feeling. One chewable tablet lasts all day.

The reason I switched from Bonine to Meclizine was the price. 16 chewable Bonine on Amazon was about $7.00 but for the same price, I can get 100 chewable Meclizine. And they both work the same because they are the same ingredient. Just a few extra $$ for my vacation fund ...:goodvibes

Hi all,

I'm looking for shoe recommendations. I know in WDW there will be way more walking than I ever do in DL. I've read threads on the boards about shoes and have some ideas, but would like to hear from some Pooh sized gals!!

I've heard the following are good...Sketcher Go Walks, Teva Tirra, and Keens.

My thing is, I cannot stand blisters. I don't really care if my feet ache a bit, but I don't want blisters!!!

Thanks for your help and ideas!!!

We have Bonine at our Wal-Mart here - right next to the Dramamine.

For tennis shoes: K Swiss tubes (they make my feet very happy).

Sandals: Keens or Tevas. You might want to check out the Tevas that are "waterproof" for those days when it might rain.

Take 2 pairs of shoes and don't wear the same pair 2 days in a row to avoid hot spots on your feet.

Hey all,

I'm loving this threat. We will be staying at CSR from 9/24-9/28 and reading this thread as put me at ease somewhat about my pooh sized frame. I'm 5'9 and 350lbs. The majority of my weight is in my midsection. I am confident I will be able to fit of most things but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to try 7DMT seeing the previous threads. I'm looking for a little reassurance here. For all of you pooh sized experts knowing my size are there any other rides you all think I may not fit in? Thanks so much for the reassurance guys.

I'm 6'0" and 345 lbs. I've never been unable to ride anything at WDW!

I carry the majority of my weight in my torso also. That being said, my legs are disproportionately thinner, and the small space for knees is the main issue with 7DMT. However, I'll be trying it for myself for the first time during the MNSSHP on Sept. 21. I'll report back. ;)

It sounds like you and I are similarly built, so hopefully if I can ride it, you can too. :)

Thanks so much! I feel so much better now knowing that you're of a similar build and have no issues. Now the only thing I have to worry about are the tiny seats on the Harry Potter World rides. haha.

Oh, you and me both. I'm heading over there on Sept. 22nd. I'm going to try out the test seats for the rides, but I don't have my hopes up. I'm likely just going to be there to enjoy the atmosphere, not so much the rides. :lmao:

Awesome! I'll be there on the 25th. Let me know how you manage if you think of it. If we can't ride it won't be the end of the world though. There are SOOO many other things to do there. :)

I'm 5'5" and a size 16/18. I couldn't fit on forbidden journey or dueling dragons. Gringotts was just fine though.

I would definitely give it a try! I'm 5'8" and a size 20/22 with large bust and was able to ride on everything at Universal. This thread had me thinking I wouldn't fit on anything! I rode in the regular seats on DD and the Hulk, didn't even need the larger seat.
My brother is about 6' and 330 lbs, with most of his weight in his mid-section and was able to ride almost everything, just in the larger seat.

Hi all. I was able to ride most everything at Universal & Disney (both coasts) this summer and here are my experiences with fitting in the rides. For reference, i am 5'9" tall and I wear a 3x in a men's t-shirt (4x women's) and 26/28 shorts. Universal: Forbidden Journey: did not fit Escape from Gringotts: did not seem to fit in test seat, but was able to ride in last row. Mummy: appears to be same vehicle as Gringotts, fit in last row seat Screen rides (Transformers, Spider-Man, Minion Mayhem, Simpsons): no problem Disney: Seven Dwarfs Minetrain: It was a very tight fit for my legs, almost uncomfortable, but we went on twice. Space Mt: I recommend requesting the front row Matterhorn: was able to ride in front Disney seatbelt hint from a cast member...pull the extra seatbelt out and fasten before you sit down. Alicia

Rode Mine Train last night for first time. Amazing!! Smoothest coaster ever been on.

5'8"/26/28, female, wearing weight everywhere but have the typical double tummy roll.

Room to spare in the knees. Hips touched other passenger's (but my hubby).

Side note- our 3 yr old was hairs away from being tAll enough. I'm glad he didn't make it. A little too much of a ride for him.

This makes me feel better! I'm around the same size and i know this is 1 ride my ds8 wants to go on. On another note how is the lap bar? Is it 1 piece or 2? since my ds8 is on the smaller size I get nervous going on the roller coasters with him.

The lap bars are separate, so no worries there!:thumbsup2
