Thank you all!! Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!!
Okay folks I'm doing the last of our vacation shopping even though we don't go until December, but I need to know your final answer:
1. Bodyglide (people on Amazon say it's too wet?)
2. Monistat Anti-Chafe (can you put this on your feet?)
3. something else?
TIA![]()
I bought the Bodyglide stick and I am not totally convinced on how good it is. Maybe I am using it wrong?? If anyone has any tips I would greatly appreciate them. I actually plan on buying the Monistat anti-chafe to see if that helps better, especially for inner thigh chafing.
I am not sure if helps you out (sorry) but it is my personal observation.
Thankfully (?) I mostly need it for my feet because I am always getting blisters, so this time I wanted to be prepared. The Amazon reviews said that Bodyglide was runny and I couldn't imagine that going in my socksI was thinking of the Monistat for you because it's made for the inside of thighs and such. I just didn't know if it would work for my stupid feet. There are SO MANY kinds of athletic creams and balms and whatnot that I literally have no idea which one to use.
So I finally found sneakers (tennis shoes, if you prefer) that are comfortable and supportive! Why does it have to be so hard?! Loving my new Easy Spirits.
Now to finding the same in bras.... The girls are jealous of the feets!![]()
I got the Bodyglide stick and used it on my feet, and did not find it runny at all. It did make them a little slick, but I think that is the point? Have you seen the Dr Scholls anti-blister pink stick, in the foot care section at Walmart/Target? I was thinking about getting that too. I don't know if the Bodyglide worked though because I decided to return that pair of shoes.![]()
I tried the Bodyglide on my inner thighs though, and it seems to crumble as I was trying to apply it. I am thinking I will get the Monistat and use them both. So confused!!![]()
I don't mind them being a bit slick! I just had this mental image of my feet covered in goop and then me sticking them in my $100 New Balance shoesBut I haven't seen that in Walmart, I'll have to keep an eye out for it next time I go. I think we might end up buying both just to see which works better at this point.
I'm also short-bodied so most of the time I have to wear it with the straps at the shortest.
My next challenge is finding a new bathing suit for my ill-proportioned body. Let me tell you finding a supportive halter tie bathing suit top that fits then trying to find a bottom that matches not plus sized is next to impossible.
Does anyone here with plantar fasciitis have any experience using arch bandages? Do they work the same as taping your feet? This is a new development and I don't want it to ruin my very first trip to WDW, in 8 sleeps (if you count tonight, but I don't because...well....LOL)
I'm a 26/28 in most other brands, but with Old Navy, I'm a 22 or 24 and 2X. I bought a pair of khakis for my old job and they were incredibly big, more like a 32 than a 28. Definitely read the reviews for the products you're interested in, and keep in mind that you might need to send it back and get another size. Aside from the sizing issue, I have no problem with their clothes![]()
I had a similar experience with Kohl's.....I'm normally a 24, but I actually found Kohl's size 24 are too big...much too big LOL as you can imagine, I'm feeling quite good sitting here in my size 20 jean shorts![]()
Which brings me to a question of my own.....I live in jean shorts, it's all I wear ever, except one pair of khaki capris.....Am I really going to sweat to death? Should I break out the old cotton gym shorts from Just My Size? Thanks
I don't know whether it's the same thing but I have an arch support that wraps around my foot. It's elasticated and fastens with velcro. I'm an nurse, so I'm on my feet for around 10 hours a day and since I've been using this support i've noticed a huge improvement. I've never taped my foot so I can't comment on that. The only problem b with the arch support is sometimes it's difficult getting shoes on when I'm wearing it.
I was wondering about those also. I have seen something similar to what you are describing at Walgreens. It looks like an ace bandage?
I am looking for something to help with my arch issues, as they are very painful after walking around for a bit of time. I have bought and returned so many pairs of shoes recently, trying to find just one pair that is comfortable enough to wear all day. I have bought Easy Spirits, Clarks, and other types of "comfort shoes." Some are better than others, but none seem right so far. Maybe this arch support will help me?
You too!! I am gonna grab em today and see how it goes for my next walk. I usually mall walk, as it is way too hot to be outside right now. I will report back my experience.
I find that wearing my arch support and Crocs (Caymans I think) is the most comfortable thing for me. Also Fitflops without the arch support. Good luck in finding what's right for you!![]()
