Yep. I'm not getting Sims 3, and I've been a Sims Freak since Sims 1: Vacation.

But I can't pretend to like what I consider worse graphics and odd gameplay.

I think its probably just how our English developed over the years, with a few different influences.

I have no idea. I didn't know what YAGE was either. I looked it up on Google, and it didn't know either. I had to make my results more specific, and it came up with a Micechat forum posting with the description. That, and the DIS, are the only two places i've seen it used. It's not even on Urban Dictionary, or any other acronym site!
