The Earls meet the Princesses:A June PTR *6/13 WE LEAVE IN THE MORNING!*

What about trying Jungle Cruise at night or would that be too scary for your little ones? It makes the Jungle Cruise 100 times better for me. :thumbsup2

I think you have got a really good list of attractions! I would stake out a spot early for Spectromagic and then have one of the adults get some snacks to pass the time. :thumbsup2

It is really cool at night. That was when we always did it when I was a kid and the first time I did it as a adult I was surprised that it wasn't a scary ride. I remembered it being scary when it is not at all.

I want to check out the shop in fantasy land that has a bell on the counter and when you ring the bell the lights flicker and tink magically appears in the window behind the register for a brief moment. Does anyone know what the name of that shop is?

Thanks everyone! I knew I would miss something you guys would see.:thumbsup2

If the kids like Monsters, Inc. you should try the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor -- it's hysterically funny -- even Charles enjoyed it.
Oh yeah! This is in Tomorrowland, right?
What about pictures with Tink and friends? Is that something the girls would like? Oh, and don't forget Barnstormer -- both of mine love that roller coaster.
I forgot all about Toontown. Yes, the girls both want to meet the fairies and we're all excited about Barnstormer because Ian for sure can ride it.

Good idea.:thumbsup2

Definitely. Ooh, now I can think about snacks some more. Hmmmm...:rotfl:
What about Mickey's Philharmagic? Doesn't matter how many times I see it - still love it. :thumbsup2
Yea, we love this one. We liked all the 3D movies, but this one is our favorite.:thumbsup2

Please oh please tell me i the tuna sandwich at CHH has celery or onion in it. people say it doesn't but I swear I have seen photos with something green in there. I like celery and onions but I can't handle crunch in tuna, egg or chicken salad. It is my thing.

I honestly don't know. I've not had it before, but I don't mind crunchies in my tuna, so it wouldn't bother me. I've just heard it's a yummy tuna sandwich and I LOVE some good tuna.:thumbsup2

Oh! I was going to say Barnstormer, but CP beat me to it! :thumbsup2 definitely a consolation if he can't ride the others... our DS3 was just 40 ish too... He made it on Splash and Thunder Mtn (though they looked twice at him) and he made it on Soarin -- though the first time he was turned around... he didn't make it for Star Tours or for Dinosaur (though I am glad he didn't b/c even DS6 was spooked). He was looked at a couple times... He has a pair of sneakers that just made him that 40" I guess. But I swear the height check is just slightly different on those rides, but of course I could never prove it! ;)
Anyhoo, Monster's Inc of course a good choice -- and everything else looks great!

No Winnie the Pooh or Peter Pan??

How about the Carousel of Progress?? It is the easiest place to take a nap now that HofP is closed for rehab. MY girls and I like the song!:lmao:

Anyway just some thoughts.

Yea!! :yay: Did I forget any more must dos? Wow, look at your ticker! Next week you'll be experiencing it all. I'm so excited for you.:goodvibes

I'll let you know when I get back! There's so much that the whole family can do at MK, I feel like I have forgotten some things too... there's always next time, right?

I wanted to check out your PTR because you were the first person to check out mine!! I loved looking at your pictures. I have red hair and my husband has brown hair. Our oldest son and youngest son are both redheads! The middle one has brown hair. My oldest son's hair is just like mine, so it's bright red. The youngest is more brown. My youngest son has been wearing glasses since he was about a year old, so I noticed that your daughter wears glasses as well. :goodvibes

:welcome: Glad to have you here. When Madeline was born, her red hair was the first thing I noticed.:goodvibes Amelia's used to be more strawberry blond, but it's gotten darker. Madeline actually doesn't wear glasses anymore. In first grade she was diagnosed with amblyopia. One eye was extremely farsighted, which is uncommon in children. She had prescription glasses to correct for the farsightedness in her eye and a patch to wear over the other eye so that the farsighted eye could regain its ability to see at a distance. The patch had to be worn a ton, including time at WDW, because she was already 7 when she was diagnosed, but it worked. Her vision is about 20/30 and surprisingly, she's outgrown the farsightedness.:confused3

This first picture is for LL, so she can see Sully's long lost older brother.

I couldn't find a single decent digital picture of Paddington, so I had to scan a scrapbook page from a million years ago. The other kitty in the picture is Buster. Believe it or not they were from the same litter.

Ok, on to some of the Disney chores I got to check off my list. The first and most daunting was exchanging all of our winter clothes for our spring/summer things. Obviously, this wasn't only for our Disney trip but while I was redoing drawers and closets and forcing children to try things on I was making a mental list of what would have to be purchased with Disney in mind. Here's how it looks:

Ian- mostly set. He may need a couple more pairs of shorts, 3 or 4 new tees and maybe a new suit. :offtopic: What is the deal with boy bathing suit sizing? My son is small, but still wears 3 or 4Ts in most things. In a suit he wears a 24 month! Plus, most of the drawstrings on his suits are FAKE! Ok, rant over.;)

Amelia-again, mostly set except for a couple of bathing suits and a pair of Teva flips and a hoodie

Madeline-needs a few pairs of shorts, some shirts and bathing suits. Basically, everything but shoes.

Me-pretty set except for a suit

George-hasn't had new shorts for a few years because he doesn't buy anything for himself. I'll have to pick them up for him. Any store suggestions?

Our next Disney activity was making our countdown calendar. We used the ubiquitous Mickey head paint chips and completely stole ILuvXUs idea of putting things we're looking forward to each day under each chip. I can hardly wait until we can start ripping those Mickey heads down!:goodvibes

I also printed out a ton of stuff on photopass from the stitchinkingdom site. I'm in a photopass share this trip. Last trip we got NO photopass pictures taken so I'm anxious to try this out in June. Any tips?

Finally, I was inspired by LL's bag decision '09 to take a look at my bag options. I use a hipster as a daily bag, but I just don't think it's quite big enough to be my primary park bag. I mentioned to my MIL that her new Bagallini was the type I was considering for my Disney bag and she offered to let me take it. I tried to decline but she was adamant, so I took it. Here's the rub: I don't really like it.:confused3 Honestly, I still have to try it out but the aesthetics of it are just, eh. Here it is:

Now, I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth and free is definitely a good price and I certainly don't want to offend her, but I just don't know. Maybe it will grow on me if I use it around town and like how it works.:confused3 Or maybe I'm just trying to rationalize purchasing that very cute bag that LL posted that matches my tennies.:rolleyes1

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.:goodvibes

Your kitties are very cute!

You and I were thinking along the same lines today -- I got organized with clothes -- ordered Charles some shirts from Old Navy and took Chelsea to Kohl's. Charles needs new shorts, and I think I will make him go to Kohl's for those as well.

I have a confession.I'm not cjackearl. I'm DD#1.(Madeline.) I just wanted to see what it was like to post a post.:) I asked mom if she'd let me have my own account, but nooo....:mad: Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and LL, heard about your cat, sully. Cute name!:cutie:

Well, it's almost bedtime so I'd better sign off.

Have a good time on all of your trips!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Spring fever! Cleaning, sorting, shopping, organizing!

I feel like I have accomplished so much just listening to you all!

Seriously. I am slowly picking up steam! I mulched all day. And I bought crocs!

Any good deals at Kohls?

Oh, Paddington and Buster are just the cutest! :lovestruc I can't get over how much Sully looks like both of them. :goodvibes

Welcome to the World of Bag Drama. :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: Not to enable or anything but the cute polka dot bag is very cute. What do you have to carry in your bag? A lot? If you don't have a lot to carry then I think the polka dot one could work for you. Plus it matches your shoes.... :rolleyes1

Hi Madeline! I hope you have a good time on your trip too! :thumbsup2

Any good deals at Kohls?

They always seem to have pretty good deals -- Chelsea got four pairs of shorts and three shirts for $80 -- which was better than what I thought we would end up spending.

Hi, Madeline! Don't feel too bad -- my Chelsea wants an account, too, but I won't let her yet! :goodvibes

You? Enabler? Never!:rolleyes1:rotfl: I tend to carry way more than I probably need in my purse, but I like to be prepared.;) Maybe George will carry some of my stuff in the camera bag and then I'll be able to have the coveted dot bag. Then there are the shoes...:rolleyes1:rotfl:
