The drive from HHI to Savannah and other questions...

We are thinking of going to HHI for a few days in a couple of weeks pending availibility and have the following questions...

1. On average and not in rush hour times, how long does it usually take to drive from HHI to Savannah? I know a couple of people have mentioned doing it and that it wasn't too bad of a drive, but I can't remember approximately how many minutes they said it takes...

2. What is the weather usually like around the week of Christmas?

3. Are there any seasonal activities I should know about?

4. Are there any places that I "have" to see or eat while I am there?

The drive from Savannah is usually about 45 minutes depending on traffic. Weather in late December will typically range in the 50's - 60's - although you might luck out and find a day above 70 too.

Activities at the resort are pretty consistent year round. Depending on the weather many can still enjoy a round of golf, tennis, bike riding, beach walks, shopping and dining.

There are lots of great dining spots at HH. A few are within walking distance of the resort (Scott's Fishmarket, The Kingfisher, Ocean Grille, San Miguels, Littel Venice) and many more are a short drive away (Red Fish, Old Oyster Factory, Old Fort Pub, etc.) The resort will provide a list - some even offer a discount for those staying at the resort.
