@FoxC63 i wish I could tap into your sewing abilities. I found a Tightrope Walker dress in an xl at a decent price but an xl is just too large 💔

You can do it! Just take your time. If you have a commercial pattern like McCalls, Simplicity etc. you can use the patterns to draft a new one. I use nonwoven interfacing to draft mine. Then use muslin and wide sewing stitches for the fit. Mark the muslin if needed. It's a process but each small step helps you understand drafting techniques and sewing.

I never cut my commercial patterns, I trace them. Here's an example of my process.
This is a paper template, if using commercial pattern you'll need to put 2-3 sheets of plain white paper under the pattern to help the lines pop out.

Now add nonwoven interfacing on top, add weights to prevent both from shifting. I use jars with beans, metal door stopper whatever you have on hand is fine.

These are the markers I highly recommend. I bought mine from amazon.
Graphic 1 is for the outline and Micron 05 is for dotted lines and details.

Some use tracing paper, I find nonwoven interfacing easier to pin onto fabrics plus it doesn't tear and holds up better with repeated use. Commercial patterns do not.

I bought a used vintage pattern from ebay, apparently the original owner loved this style so much she applied fusible interfacing on all the pieces which is not unheard of, but it rendered the pattern useless due to unyielding folds. I ended up having to buy the same pattern from a different vendor.

The pattern was used for Alfred Hitchcock 1963 ~ The Birds costume we wore at MNSSHP 2013.

I sewed jumbo size snaps on the birds and our clothes, made things super easy to pack!

 Hitchcock may have preferred blondes but I didn't do it for him!

Okay, I'll just have a :chat: with myself.

I just read "Your puppy starts to lose those baby teeth around 12 to 16 weeks of age as the permanent teeth grow in and replace them. By the time your dog is about 6 months old, he or she should have all 48 adult teeth." Yesterday 8/01/20, Sherlock just turned 12 weeks old. IT. COULD. NOT. COME. SOONER!

This is Sherlock :dogdance: this is me :crutches:
:rotfl:

I didn't know they baby and adult teeth. I totally freaked when I found tooth!! which of course i still have......

We actually gave him coins from around the world. He was intrigued, some are no longer made due to the euro. I wouldn't say they're collector pieces but they're priceless to him.

Get him a puppy teething toy and pop it in the freezer. Works great!

Just ordered DD the Ink and Paint dress she’s been wanting because they added the 30% AP discount to ShopDisney!! We were going to wait until our trip in Oct to buy it but since there is no guarantee the discount will be extended to Oct or that they will even still have that dress then I decided to go ahead and get it. She is SO excited. I just hope it fits OK. She is only 13. She has the XS Sally dress and it fits OK but I’m worried about the off the shoulder style of this one. We will see.

Oh they did add the 30% thank you for sharing that! I think it was @FoxC63 that added a tank top or something underneath, might have been a sports bra and it looked really cute. That might be an option.
