The dream christmas cruise dec 2-6 2012

Monique thanks for the heads up...it's appreciated. My kids dad died 6 years ago tomorrow (26th) so we're doing the cruise to distract them too. My husband is very understanding of the kids feelings and we always try to do something around the anniversary to help them not get "stuck".

I'm looking forward to seeing my kids smile. Neither is terribly emotional (externally) and the last time we took my daughter to disney her dad was sick...it also was the first time I'd heard her laugh out loud in forever.

Because Keegan's not very social, we're hoping to help him branch out. He did like the kid's club on our last cruise, so I know he'll love it even more this time...new meds have made a tremendous difference in him since then.

Secondly, I'm most excited to spend some quality time with the family. It seems like at home there is always something going on for someone... meetings, dr. appointments, my daughter works 2 jobs plus goes to school. It'll be a nice break for everyone.

Super excited! I'll begin packing tomorrow YAY!

I am so excited about so many things but if I have to chose just one I would have to say to see my 3 friends (Keira, Vanessa, and Julie) I have not seen them since 2006 and it will be a great little reunion!!! I can't believe it is less then a week away!! :-)

I can't wait to meet u all!!!! Lol :-)

As a single parent who works 60 hr work weeks, I look forward to just having a whole week with my kids to be just their Mom. No other to-do lists. I look forward to the joy on my 13 year old son's face after waiting for more than 3 years to enjoy his dream of a Disney cruise. I eagerly anticipate seeing the Christmas decorations at both the parks and on the cruise. I am thrilled to celebrate my birthday during our "sea day" so relaxation can be high on the list. I am touched with how beautiful my 12 year old daughter is in her "semi-formal" dress (who loves just comfy clothes). We have two more sleeps left before we fly down to Orlando for 3 days in the parks before our cruise. The excitment in our household is palatable. Much to do in the next 48 hours but so terribly excited. Thanks for all helping build up to our big holiday.

Is there anybody who lives there in FL that has a 10 day forcast. We are gouing to DIsneyworld after the cruise so it would be nice to know what all to prepare for

WE ARENT FROM FLORIDA BUT I CHECKED THE 10 DAY FORCAST FOR ORLANDO AND NASSAU. I HOPE THEY ARE A LITTLE OFF:rotfl2: RAIN IS CALLED FOR THE THURS WE GET BACK TO WDW WHEN WE DO OUR MICKEYS CHRISTMAS PARTY. TEMPS IN THE UPPER 60s AND LOW 70s. WHEN WE CRUISE THE BAHAMAS IS SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE 70s. ITs SUPPOSED TO BE SUNNY BUT WINDY. SOOOOOO IF ITS WINDY THAT MIGHT MEAN ROUGHER SEAS. AT LEAST THERE IS NO SNOW EXCEPT FOR THE MANMADE STUFF AT WDW:rotfl2:

The Weather Channel says it will be in the high 70's, low 80's over the next 10 days. The nights will be the mid 50's. But this will only take you to Dec. 5th. I don't know what happens after that, and everyone around here know weathermen lie.

Brother-in law and wife is due in tomorrow. Then we'll do Thanksgiving and the parks before getting ready for the cruise.

See y'all soon. :cool1:

We have rented a mini van and are driving to the port, if there is a couple out there needing a ride to the port let us know. We will be staying at Saratoga Springs resort. If anyone is intrested let us know. We will be leaving for WDW on Thursday afternoon. :cool1::yay:

Looking sooooooo forward to our 1st Disney Cruise!~ :cool1:

Any "Friends of Dorothy" going to be on the this cruise too?

We get to WDW on Sat - staying at The Beach Club for Sat night, then on the Disney transportation to the port.

5 more days!:yay:

I'm a bridge teammate of two FODs, if that counts for anything. =) We had a big party at their house when the marriage amendment was defeated in Minnesota.

Speaking of which, anyone play rubber bridge? Penny a point, who's in? :)

You can't be from FL, we are freezing. I am looking forward to watching our friends, who will be doing their first Disney cruise. They have annual passes to the parks, but never did a Disney cruise.

It was cool when we first got here but warmed up and went to the beach. It has been a very cool fall for us at home so this is very nice to me.This is our first Disney cruise too. We normally go on RC. Time to try something new!

I am so excited! Can't wait to meet all of u!!!!! Just want to wish all of you safe travels!!!! I will be heading to Orlando on Friday!!! And then on to the dream on Sunday!!!! :-)

Time to get away from this SNOW!!!!!

We leave on Friday too! Where are you flying out from?

I'm excited for the trip but also struggling..... My youngest son is 10. I know we can let him sign himself in/out of the kids area. I'm freaking out a little about that. Will we be able to get an extra wave phone so both of my boys have one and we have one?

We are actually driving, my husband hates to fly! So it's 16 hours in a car for us :(. The girls and I would much rather fly!!!
