We are at BWV. Weather is great, parks not too crowded at all. We are in a 2BR 2008-2010 with the dreaded "Roof of the red house" view. We checked in at 12:45 on Saturday. No line. We got our room keys but no room number. They said our room was not quite ready. We had lunch at ESPN and the rooms were ready right after lunch.

The rooms are among the worst views in BWV, but we did not care. We were all the ay down the hall and it was quiet.

The first floor is all DVC offices. A DVC guide told us in 60 days the sales offices would be gone and the red building torn down. That makes all these rooms preferred view, no doubt. Wonder if they will adjust the points for 2005?

Did you have standard view booked? There have been conflicting stories if these rooms are standard or preferred. I know someone who got it as preferred and they demanded a change.

60 days. That's just right for us to get a view of the building being torn down.

Anyone have a pic of this view? I still haven't stayed at BWV and am now curious...

We have stayed in a room with that view and were booked on standard view points. For standard points I didn't mind it at all. Glad to hear the buillding will be torn down and should then have a nice unobstructed view.

We had that view when the building was going up! We looked out onto a construction site. And it was considered a preferred view. This was also the trip we made with my brother and sister-in-law to impress them with DVC in the hopes that they would also buy in. It didn't work. It was probably all of the the hammering.

We had that view last year as well, booked as standard view. Like the previous poster said, for standard points, it was no big deal. Very quiet and there were some nice plantings, but I am glad the building is coming down

I was under the impression that the red building was used for sales offices. They must be tearing it down now that sales is moving to SSR.

The whole building???? I am confused...

I heard that the red building is actually a couple of double wide trailers tied together. So it shouldn't be hard to take down. If you take the boat to MGM, you see it right near the canal. I often thought that it blocks the view of the lower floor rooms in that area.

I wonder what the rooms that were used as sales offices are going to be (pref or std view)? They don't really face the water. They actually face a garden area???

I just went to the BWV page on the Disney Site click here to see it
If you look all the way to the left, I think thats where the building is. It's not in this picture but thats the area I was thinking of with the garden. I guess they will have water view once the building is gone.

We booked standard, hence we did not complain about the view. Once the red building is gone it will be a nice view of the canal, the Swan and the bridge. That's why I wondered if it would then go preferred. (We had an easy walk to Luna Park pool, as well.)

Yes, all DVC sales offices. Not that big of a building.
Okay, I got it now! ;) I thought you were talking about the part of the villas where the sales presentations are held... I didn't see how they could knock that down! :teeth:

PS- If those are the sales offices, what are the offices in Celebration used for?

I had that view once (on third floor). I had booked preferred view, and paid preferred view points.
