The Downward Spiral.

More of a "community" before Mar 2013.:)

It was really good back in 2008 as opposed to 2013. Snark much?
Posting 3000 doesn't make you any less of the problem.

Save it, please. Posts like this do nothing to better the community environment. You're part of the problem, not the solution, with posts like this.

OP I hear you, there is a lot of that out here, and it does get frustrating to see all of the negative attitudes out here everything from triple dipping before all FP+ to " my family is done". However, your post seemed just as negative in the other direction. Some of us who still go like to have rational discussions about the changes. No sense of entitlement here, just like to see the differing points of view that make this board what it is.....

I agree, too. To a point. But, when I pull this up on my phone and 6 out of the 10 threads I see are complaints, that means over 60% are complainers.

Well, I think they could solve a lot of the issues if they would rename TPA&S to FP+A&S.

Gee, when you put it like that, it looks a little bit like a swear word, doesn't it?

Really? Now you've jumped to overall judgements and not observations. You're the problem, obviously. Got something to say about others behind a keyboard, instead of bringing facts or observations into it, makes you the problem. Others have come on here, nicely, and stated a case, for and against. You joined in 2013 and have more posts than most of us. And, based simply on observation of the 2 you've had here, they are just comments to prove you're superior, not actually adding to conversation or assistance. Shoo, fly. Find another Avenue.
My point was fact. Someone said those very words to me. And you proved it with your response.

Exactly my point. For some reason, threads like: "I've figured out how to ride TSM 5 times in a day", or "Here's my tricks for getting 8 FPs in a day" constituted the "good old days" of the Dis. But threads like: "It stinks that I can't ride TSM 5 times in a day", or "I hate that I am limited to 3 FP+ per day" are the apocalypse. You can't have one without the other.

I know him. He calls me a band Wagon fan. Goooo Noles!

Yes, with this person I just spoke to and know well , and knows I have no love for the SEC team known as the Crimson Tide.

Great, but for the x-2 posters on the board who don't know this, it undermines your point.

FP+ is a fundamental change in park strategy for many here. It puts limits in that weren't there before. The result of those two truths are a lot of negative FP+ threads. Like it or lump it, which is pretty much the advice I get when I share my thoughts on FP+. :goodvibes

To prove I'm superior? Don't think I was doing anything of the sort. I haven't jumped to any judgement. Posts like the OP don't help the very situation he/she is complaining about. It adds to the overall "negative" feeling on the DIS. There were no facts presented in the OP so I'm not sure why you expected me to bring any facts into it. I am simply stating that if someone is upset of the overall feel of these boards, complaining about it isn't going to change the negativity, only add to it.

But carry on, because obviously you and the OP think otherwise.

On another thread, you were quick to point an accusatory finger at me for writing something that was "extremely judgmental."

I see nothing wrong with you or anyone posting a judgmental opinion like you have twice in this thread. Just remember....

Pot, kettle

Or glass houses, if you prefer that proverb

I think people need to realize that this is a massive change in touring for some folks. Whenever I read an angry post about FP+, I don't see the anger, I actually see that the person is sad about the changes. Because something they loved has changed and it is gone for good.

I know this is a bit melodramatic, but anyone who comes to post on a Disney board loves Disney, or at least did love Disney I guess. If you were indifferent you wouldn't even read here.

And on the flip side, there are people who love the changes, and that's great too. And I see plenty of posts expressing that as well.

I agree, too. But, for many, those changes are helpful. Limits are just that. But, limits on FP? Can someone just say they like it without peeps jumping their case or posting responses to pee in their cornflakes? Can someone point out that 5 years ago, it wasn't this negative? I like your posts, mostly. You and I have agreed to disagree before. But, you don't turn into a raving you know what if someone chooses to say something different. You converse with facts, not name calling. Most do not.
But it just seems ridiculous that people griped 4 years ago about FP times being abused...Disney chose a solution. Ooooh, the uproar. Complaints about FP being gone by 945, Disney chose a solution. Ohhhh, the uproar. Credit hold for TS...OHHHH, the uproar. Very few people can come on here and say it was good without someone....Amy...trying to be snarky. Riiiidiiiiic.

Thank you, Mesa. Exactly. Like it or lump it. I like it so I lump it and go back to WDW and enjoy my time.

AmyB, I did find the the "only 19 posts" rather uppity, your opinion matters more because you have over 3,000? There is plenty to complain about with the changes, I just don't do it. Maybe my 19th post does cause as much clutter as complainers, but it's not my 2000th complaint post.

As a DIS newbie, I do think it would be better if there was a separate section devoted to discussing the positives and negatives of FP+ and how Disney could have better invested the money. I know people feel passionately about it and have a right to discuss it but it is not always clear from a thread title whether the thread is giving pointers on how to use FP+ or just complaining about it, and often threads about using FP+ get littered with complaints about it.

Exactly. Simple. 9 posts and you nailed it!:thumbsup2

So I haven't been on the boards in months, pretty much for the reasons the Op mentions. Since I needed a Disney fix big time, I thought I'd hop on. Of course this is one of the first threads I see. It just gets so old so quickly!!! Don't you get tired of being so negative and unpleasant? Guess I'm hopping off now and I'll try back again in another few months. Go ahead and flame me now. Tell me good riddance, etc.

You'll be fine if you just avoid any threads with "FP+," "MDE," or "MagicBands" in their titles.

See, the number of posts isn't always an indicator of knowledge.

Wait...I just agreed with the Bama hater...

Well I agree with the original poster about people coming to complain and the sense of entitlement. What really gets me is the people who HAVEN'T EVEN EXPERIENCED the new system complaining. We are going in May to decide if we like it or not... but when it all comes down to it we actually only used 3-4 fast passes a day. The people who are complaining are the same people that complain about everything else and feel that they should have the magic all to themselves, it misses the whole point of Disney in my opinion. And those are probably the same people who complained about the original ticketing system, the original passport system, and the fast past system when it all originally started. The system as a whole is still new and it will eventually be a good system that families will grow to love. And in my opinion if you want more of the park to yourself then you need to rearrange when you go to Disney... Our family does not enjoy large crowds so we go in the typical "off season" yes I understand kids have school and stuff but it is manageable... just my two cents
