Hi Kelli,

I haven't stayed at the Dorchester, but I'm sure you'll love it! It is supposed to be one of the best hotels in London and has a great reputation throughout the UK. It's very well located for the main shopping areas of London, and you should be able to do a lot of sightseeing quite easily, if that's what you want to do.

We'll be using our DVC points for the first time in October, too - but we'll be coming to Orlando!

Hope you have a great trip:D

We just returned from 4 nights at the Dorchester in London using DVC pts. The rack rate for the hotel is about 350 - 400 pounds a night = $525 - $ 600.00 US. It is rated one of the top 10 hotels in London. It is beautiful. I would visit their website to get a feel for the hotel and their amentities. The pictures are very exact. It is a short walk to the Hyde Park underground and you can get to most popular sections of London in 10 minutes. I would suggest buying the underground pass for your length of stay. It gives you unlimited use of the underground and buses. London is so easy to move around. We eat only breakfast at the hotel but we have a great Italian restaurant in Soho that I can recommend. The theatre in London is very reasonable. We are from Boston and the Phathom of the Opera tickets here are about $ 60 - $ 75 a person. We had three seats, 1st level, 4 rows back for 65 pounds = $ 97 US. The other shows seemed to be just as reasonable. The disappointing part was having to check out and move to another hotel. at 57 pts a night we didn't want to blow all our points but it was certainly worth it.

You will not be disappointed.

email me directly if you want anything specific.

Enjoy.

Never stayed on points but the Dorchester is simply fabulous!

We stayed there just for one night of luxury last August on points and we got upgraded to a deluxe room overlooking the park when we checked in!!! We didn't ask for it either! It is a lovely hotel, and the restaurants were great...but take your credit card, nothing comes cheap! E-mail me if you have any more questions!
