Love this hotel! For such a short trip the location was great. Epcot was the only park we were doing so the easy walk or boat ride was perfect. We had a bit of car trouble on the way so we did not arrive until after 12 on the 11th. Check in was a breeze. The CM told us we had just missed a large mob for a convention check in, so I guess being late was a blessing in disguise.

The beds are heavenly!! We had a first floor room (west) off the pool. I'm not an elevator person so that was perfect for me. Everything was so convenient from that location. Our patio faced the Swan boats and and the Grotto waterfall. We had duck visitors in the morning and evening. All was quiet at night. Except...when my roomie woke to the sound of an alarm clock going off in the next room at 2AM. She called the desk and they took care of it right away. They called the next morning and offered me a $15.00 credit. I took my friend to Tubbie's for breakfast with it.

All the CM's were friendly and helpful in answering any guestions. The bellman were all very easy on the eyes too!!:smooth:

The only downside was finding out that the free long distance calling was only for 800 #'s. I don't call that free long distance.

Thanks to everyone on this board who helped me choose the Dolphin. We paid $147 (acutally $157 with the resort fee) on the AARP rate. Worth every penny. Very relaxed, comfortable, and convenient.

Glad to hear it. When you mentioned that you're not an elevator person, it got me thinking. Has anyone ever noticed that when you push the button for the elevators at the Dolphin, you never have to wait? It usually arrives instantly. I'm always fascinated by that....I digress....anyway, the Dolphin and Swan are in the best locations for Epcot and MGM. :earsgirl:

Yes, I've noticed how quick the elevators are. We've never waited very long for one.

Glad that you loved the Dolphin. We will be staying there for the first time in July!!::yes::

We are staying there in the middle of a two week DVC vacation in July. I was able to get the dolphin on hotwire for 89.00 per night, I know I'll have to add the resort fee when I get there but it still seemed like a good price and a great way to save enough points to go again in February. I have never stayed at either the Swan or Dolphin, but have admired them from the Epcot MGM area many times! I love reading all of your posts so I can get an idea of what to expect! Thanks:wave2:
