Jennifer, I hope this teacher works out for Paige. I always hate change myself. Maybe they found a super good one and it will make up for all this mess.

Waaaaa.....I can't find the ornament I want I saw it last year. It was perfect, so of course, it is no where this year. That's why I shop and store!! Then I have all the things I think I may want for presents.

Carol, glad your computer is behaving today. We wouldn't want to have to start sending out computer enforcers!!

Sorry....no cookies today. By the time I get home it will be your tomorrow anyway (or at least you will be asleep).
I have Halloween candy though...chocolate (Mounds....I know you like those). Will that do until tomorrow? That will be cookie-baking day.

I will have fun with Geoff.....kind of. It is a work day too. I spoil him I will be cleaning his apartment, doing his gorcery shopping and then later his laundry. Then...when he is done with class about 12:30, we will get fun. Lunch, pick up his suit (suit!! Like he will ever wear it other than interviews). And....since that means a trip to a different mall.......one more chance at looking for an ornament.

Morning all! How is everyone? It's chilly here this morning... supposed to start raining tomorrow and rain throughout the weekend! Yeah!! We haven't had any rain since probably late spring.

Jennifer, my only thought last night when you asked about the move to the mansion was the same as Jeannie's...either that or maybe whoever gets the last word on this one starts a new one if you're not around to do it? Roland just sent a mail to say his company's collecting parcels for littlies in the poorer East European countries. There's a list of things you should include - food like flour and sugar - and also choccy and things, but they also say to send toiletries like soap. I hope I can get unperfumed stuff so that it won't spoil the food. Any ideas what I can do if I can only get perfumed? How to pack it I mean. I know soap is really hard to get in some areas. The saddest thing is that coffee's on the list - not for the littlies to drink but to be bartered. It's the only way some of them can see a doctor.

I didn't know that perfumed soaps really affect flour and sugar that much-coffee and choccy are usually sealed nicely, so I guess they're ok? What about those nice blocky Marseille soaps? They're less offensive than a lavender or linden or whatever. Or is it something else about the soap that affects the food other than just the scent?

Otherwise do the GLAD or Ziploc plastic baggies not work? Even if you doubled it up?

With which humanitarian affiliation does Roland work? He is a very good man, isn't he?
