Bad day Jay?

How long before I start preparing the girls for one less cat in the house? Still no kitty. So far we've decided he's on a great adventure, but not sure how long that story is going to last.

Why and I so dang tired? Probably because there are still several dozen cookies to be cut out and frosted. Anyone want a pumpkin cut out cookie?

Howdy all.....just checking in.
Great day shopping!! Good thing I brought 2 checkbooks....I needed them both!!

I need to go unload everything, get it put away and make more lists of what I'm still missing (like almost all presents for DS and DH because NO list form them yet!!).

Next BIG shopping adventure is Sunday!! Yippee!! With my bestest "real" friend....so I must get my list spiffed up by then.

So....sorry some people are still feeling down Hope things improve for you soon.

And....I'm praying for your kitty's safe return. I hope it gets back before tomorrow night ....that's not a good night for kitties to be out.

I bought an ornament for my person today....but I want another too (this one was inexpensive.....not cheap ) Hopefully I'll find that Sunday.

Hmmm. So much for my juicy gossip request. Bummer.

Ok, well... I'm no dr. but I would say that there's definitely something going on with this little guy at school. I haven't a clue what, but there's some very obvious and unusual movement happening here. He goes into little, what seem to be uncontrollable twitching/jerking and jumping episodes every two or three minutes. He comes right out of them, to rejoin the rest of the kids for play, but minutes later goes into another little jumping/twitching session. So sad. I'm afraid something isn't right... keep him in your Ya Ya prayers if you could please.

Jodie, I too am very proud (sniff*sniff) to be a Ya Ya. This is a special little group we have here, and I for one, am honored that you've all allowed me to stick around. Even though I'm a bit kinky.

How was your day Michele? Tomorrow is the big day for DH right? I'll be thinking about him... my fingers, toes and eyes are still crossed.

Just a quick check-in. Just got home from work, have to change and make dinner (steak, baked potato and salad).

Hope you like what I cooked you guys today. (Oh, I made you guys pot roast, potatoes, carrots and homemade baking powder biscuits. Had a feeling the squirrel stew would not go over well).

To all the YaYa's who had a bad day, sorry, hope tomorrow is much better.

Hi all! I am back and my roots are nicely blended! I told my hair dresser that I will be back mid-December after my trip crying because my hair is so faded from the sun and the chlorine (if I get in a pool... but they do have a whirlpool there so the chances of me getting in there are pretty good But I think getting my hair done is exactly what I needed. She was fun to talk to and somehow my spirits were lifted.

Thanks for all the hugs and all the kind words. Brief story for those who don't know, my mom was diagnosed with cancer Sept 16th 1993 and she died 3 months later on December 15th. So this time of year is full of bad memories for me. I was only 16 and I had just begun to get along with my mom. So I have my days where I am quiet and keep to myself and get all grouchy and other days are just fine. Karen, if I ever need to talk, I'll be sure to PM you... I just needed to work this out of my system myself.

We do Halloween with the kids the day before and not on weekends around here. I guess the teens were trying to cause too much trouble and a few other things so they switched it. Most of the area does the candy thing tonight and then they can have parties and the like tomorrow. We only have 30 minutes left and tons of money.

Oh dear... I know I've missed a lot today, but I hope you all will forgive me for my attitude and "lack of caring" for others I've show recently.

Halloween was held here last Sunday 4-6 pm. It was what this town has always done so it doesn't interfere with school and fall football. What I hate about it is that people come for miles around to bring their kids to our neighborhood since it is a Sunday and it gets very expensive. What bothers me is that these parents bring their kids to our town on Sunday and then do their own trick or treat on whatever day their town is celebrating. We had over 200 kids last Sunday and there are just not that many young kids in our neighborhood. Plus, the parents were moving their cars and then getting out and walking . One group actually had someone in the back of a pickup, and when their bags got full, they ran to the person in the back of the pickup and that person dumped thier candy into a larger container. Sheesh! The nerve of some people!

Why is it that I go to Walmart to buy a 97 cent pair of shoelaces and end up spending $85?

Anyone want a chocolate Riesen? I'm sharing.

Kim, I definitely start subbing on November 14. The teacher has her C-section scheduled for that day. So that means when Jodie gets here I may be needing some major smoothies.

I worked on an introductory letter to give the kids on the first day today. It is a letter than introduces me and tells them just a little about me. (If anyone out there would like to critique my letter I would appreciate your comments and/or suggestions.) I am thinking that I will have them write in their journals a letter to me telling me about themselves. For their first homework assignment I was thinking of a letter that they write to me with suggestions on how to make learning fun and also what areas of language arts that they feel they could use a little more work on. (examples grammar, commas, making plurals, titles, etc.........) I hope that these letters will give me some insight to what I can do with them. The teacher is leaving me with 4 major writing assignments (100pts) and then I can do whatever else I want to do. For some reason she trusts me. We discussed homework worksheets that are worth 20 points and Worksheet quizes being worth 30 points. The worksheets would be on the things that I see they need help with when I read their big writing assignments. so all you parents out there. What else would you like to see from a 3 month guest teacher (that is what I am calling myself in the letter)

Marilyn, dinner tonight was really good. BURP!!! Excuse me. But someone, not going to mention names, kept putting all her potatoes on my plate and then smashing them and then started an Apolo sculpture. I mean I was trying to eat and then I had to look at Smashed Potatoe Apolo. Gag Me!!!! Carrots do not make for a good soul patch. I told her the meat would be better but she wouldn't listen to me. So could she sit next to someone else the next time we have dinner together? I think I heard Jennifer would like to sit next to Kim.

Has Michele checked in tonight to let us know about the job offer?

Jay, I do hope your back feels better. Usually, when the weather changes I get up in the morning with a little soreness. I have been very lucky that just taking 3 advil does the trick. Stay out of the hammock tonight. It is not the best thing for you right. And since my back is feelling fine, I will use it for you. Does that chair we got you have a heating pad and massager on it? If not, lets take it back and get one that does.

I have to say, I do not mourn my mother (loong story, I'm sure I'll share someday) but my grandmother died 2 weeks before Emily was born , just after her 90th bithday. I'll be feeling it in Feb.
