Good Morning Ya Ya's!!!

This might be a little heavy for this hour of the day but I read Kim's post and that got me thinking (uh oh) that you Ya Ya's are pretty awesome people. Just think back or read back and look at all you do for your communities, friends, families and neighbors. It is staggering! All the talent and knowledge, caring and love that you so willingly give...it amazes me. I am proud to be a Ya Ya!!

I hope everybody is feeling better today!!!! It's another dreary rainy day here...but we need the rain so badly. A liiiitle glimpse of sun would be nice though! It is going to be a COLD Halloween here...strange for us. My "Ringrath" will be fine as I can pile layers under his costume, but my "funky witch" is gonna be cold as a witch's *** unless I figure something out for her skimpy costume!!! No room for layers underneath and ...GASP....how could I think of making her do something as "uncool" as wear a coat on TOP of her costume?!?!?

I am particularly fond of our crooked cottage!!!!

Carol: My Mom used to knit and my Great Aunt crocheted. They used to sit in the den at night watching TV or yacking with us, their fingers flying the whole time. I did not inherit their talent...I am yarnand needle challenged!!

Karen: Feel Better!!! And we do NOT shoot old horses at the cottage! (Shoot, half of us would be dead by now!) We tuck them in and make them warm and feed them smoothies, rice cream and cookies!

Pam: Your scouts will love you tonight!!! Yes, we do spoil them all don't we?

Hi!

Been on the phone almost all morning.
I'm helping a 60+ year old lady to sell a room full of collectibles on Ebay. A friend of my mom's asked me to find out all I could about selling for her friend. When I told her how much work it involved she told me to try to discourage her friend, as the friend works 6 days a week and wouldn't have time. Well, guess what? I call her friend, and somehow *I* am the one that will be selling for her. She's having someone e-mail me the pics and descriptions, and I'll be listing everything! What did I get myself into????

Jennifer, you are only 2 1/2 hours from me!!
Did your kitty ever come home? I hope so.

YAY! Can't wait to go shopping for my ornament!!

Just stopping in for a quick fix. I have a lot to do today and I decided to go back to bed when the teens left this morning. What a great feeling.

I am doing the happy dance all the way to Mason, Ohio. Guess who is only 25 minutes from Mason? ME ME ME!!!!!!! Jodie, check your PM box. I could be there by 3:30 because of school. If you are flying into Greater Cincinnati Airport I live only 20 minutes from there, so if the afternoon doesn't work out maybe I could catch a glimpse of you there? OH! it feels good to do the happy dance.

I know who my Ornament Exchange person is? Na Na Na Na Na!

Michele, congratulations on the job offer. They must think you are quite an asset to offer it to you. I know you will make the best decision. Also, my bestest ya ya thoughts are with Robert. I just got a feeling that Thursday will be an awesome day.

I don't think we picked a date. I can't imagine anyone wouldn't follow through with this!! If some of you are waiting to get an ornament on a trip or something and want to give me that info. I'll make sure no one gets worried.

I hope the yaya that got me isn't tooo disappointed it's not a surprise!!

Hi all, just popping in quickly to say hi. Sorry I haven't been around much, I've been in a lousy mood for the last few days. Part of it is the weather and part of it is just the time of year. The holidays are always so bittersweet for me and little things get me all tweaked and the next thing you know I am in a funk for a few days. I am going to get my hair touched up tonight (making sure the color took right after all we did to it just over a week ago) so maybe I'll be feeling good then after that. So just know I am not trying to ignore you all and hopefully I will catch up with all you later tonight after the beggers are gone stealing our good candy

bfeller scratches head and runs to calendar to check the date Had to make sure that Haloween is tomorrow. Elaine really had me going. They must be celebrating Halloween early in Columbus. Didn't someone else have it this weekend?

Well, got some of the paperwork done. Still need to do some more bookeeping set up because of DH work situation. I also have to start getting organized for teaching. I am like Jennifer and Jodie. I must have a binder with all information.

Well, looks like it is a slow day here. Kind of glad because I am still running a little slow myself.

Did I mention that Jodie may come to Cincinnati to celebrate bfeller's birthday (well a day late but what the heck) I really hope she can make it but I totally understand if something comes up and she can't come. Oh Jodie, I am still dancing on the tables just thinking that any Ya Ya has mentioned the possibility of coming to the Queen City. Oh happy joy joy!!!!

Well, must get moving on and do some other stuff around here.

I didn't lock you out Jennifer. I didn't hear you. I have been slaving over dinner (believe me, it is not easy cooking on a woodburning stove mind you). As I said, Pam would not let us have the turkey.

Been waiting for YaYa's to show up. You are the first. You guys have to serve yourself though, cause I have to go for a while.

Oh Jay, after you eat dinner, why don't you just lay down in your hammock and relax....read the evening paper.

Marilyn tells Jennifer to tell the other YaYa's to stay out of Jays hammock, and if they ask where all the rice cream went, well, tell them you just don't know.

Jennifer Im so sorry kitty isnt back yet. I will say prayers that he returns very soon.

From the sound of Elaines post it sounds like they have whats called Beggars Eve up there. We used to have it in Buffalo. Kids go out the day before Holloween as well as Holloween night.

I went to my regular doc today and he agreed with me NO PAXIL. He said he doesnt use it because of the side effects both on the drug and trying to come off it. He did put me on Lexapro which will help with the smooth muscle of the stomach and intestines as well as deal with the panic that I now have around eating in restaurants....caused by the nausea from the IBS and gastritis. He did not up the amt of antinausea med nor write an RX for it but I have an appt with him in four weeks so if this drug isnt working by then and I still need the nausea meds I know he will take care of it. I have enough to get through the waiting period on the new med. Im praying upon praying that it works and I no longer need the nausea meds.
