Good morning, everyone! Just checking in, I'm actually babysitting right now for my friend's 2 kids, plus my DS, my DD is at school.

Jennifer, so DH is in the doghouse, well, he does sound a lot like my DH, that's how my house would have looked too, so we might be alter-egos after all!

Just wanted to check in. Had a great weekend with my mom and dad. I won't tempt you with the yummy food they fixed (like fried shrimp and lasagna). Well, I see I have many pages to catch up to. I will do that later. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Now I am off to vacuum (it never ends) and go to the kids school to help with lunch.

We keep up, we're going to have to give ourselves a catchy title like the S/D Cheerleaders did. This thread kind of reminds me of that one.

Maybe we could be "The Divine Secrets of the Last Word Sisterhood". Of course, we would have to make Jay an honorary sister, but we could let him talk football once in a while and let him prove to himself he is a manly man, even if we do call him a sister.

Ah the trevails of perm and coloring. I hide my grays, but with my natural color, although I did try to go red once. Currently sporting a poodle-ish perm that hopefully will relax sometime soon.

The meaning of life????? Oh my!!!!

I am glad to have entered this safe haven of calm here on the CB, we certainly need it!

DD has a cold, sore throat, and fever, thus I get to stay home from work today. Unfortunately, the longer the day goes on, the scratchier my throat is getting, so I think she may have shared the wealth.

What the heck is the problem with the boards today?!? Or is it just on my end? It's taking like three days to refresh each page! Ok, maybe more like three minutes, but still extremely frustrating! I lost my internet connection last night, so didn't get the chance to fight for the Last Word title for the evening.

Don't we feel silly! Hmmm... can't say that I really have a very good answer for you either. Once I get started on a PM'ing volley with someone, that's pretty much it...LOL! I've been involved in a couple of loooong time never ending PM ping ponging sessions for several months now. I think I'd be lost if they were to stop now. I thought about this the other day actually and then suddenly I had that song that never ends tune going through my head. It was stuck there the rest of the day.

Uh, well I see it's time for a confession. Betty... it's about my boots. Ya see... they're kinda sorta not real tall either. Just above the ankle, 2 inch heels, cowboy type toes, etc. Hee hee! But now you have me thinking about the OTHER kind... hmmmm... might have to look into a pair of those!!!!

Kim as a redhead? Well... it is a little red actually. Not RED RED, but auburn I guess, and I usually have a dark red tint put on it when I color it for the conditioning aspects of the color. BTW... Elaine, you look beautiful with red hair!! You really do!! I guess my biggest hair disaster would be the time Connie (stylist) and I decided to go with a lighter red once. It turned PINK .

Jennifer, I'm looking forward to hearing about the NASA woman! Betty, have a good week subbing. I got a call to sub for Kindergarten this morning, but Cam is still sick. I have no where to take him if I go in to work. I always HATE saying no, but didn't know what else to do.

UGH! I hate slow boards! So no Kim, it isn't you at all! Things are about as quick as mud moving in a dessert that is totally dried up Anyway... I've tried to catch up but if I've missed something, then I apologize as it is taking too long to go from one page to another to catch up.

Red heads do have a lot of fun I must say Actually the comment from PoC came up a short while ago and after a lighthearted comment from a friend of mine, I realized I never wanted to be red again. I tried it and I guess I just am not cut out for it anymore. My family loved it, but I wasn't fond of it. So now I am back to a nice dark brown. I think the vast majority of the red is gone and now I am done touching it for good! I admit the reason why I originally became a redhead a while back was my hair started going very light in the summer so I hated it and decided to have fun and went red. So I've been everything from a dark blonde (sun/chlorine bleached) to tons of shades of red (including a deep unnatural scarlet) to green to all shades of brown. I must admit right now I like it best dark brown because it sets off my light eyes better But, I will say as long as this looks like it will grow out w/o roots, I'll leave it be for good! Kim as a true redhead would be cool though

Jennifer, I must admit the true intent of your thread cracks me up. I will admit that I have been in a constant volley with PMs with someone for, let's see... 8 months now There are a few others I have been in regular contact with for many months now. I usually get a PM from a few every single day or if the are really busy or out of town, I will get one from them every few days or week. I don't think that PM really ever has to end because with some you can find new things to talk about... then again I am a talker so that might have somethng to do with it

I have a minute to check in...been working on the Girl's campout today with my assistant leader (imagine that Jennifer...this is a good week so far!) and I still need to get to the grocery store! As for the PM topic. I have to admit that I have only received 26 pms since June and have only sent around 25 also. So if you are among the few who have corresponded with me then know you are special. I guess I am not the poular one in this crowd. Looks like Elaine, Jodie, Jennifer, Kim and Bonnie are the "in crowd".

Well, I just got home from my 6 month dental cleaning. Ummm... do you think it's possible to have a nervous breakdown after having a cleaning? I think I almost did. A couple of years ago, he used that Cavetron (sp?) to clean my teeth. I hated it... asked him to never use it again. Well, he hasn't. Apparantly though, he forgot that today. Because I've had a LOT of dental work (car accident) over the years, I'm a bit edgy in the dentist chair anyway, so he always uses the "gas" even for a cleaning. Because I was basically out of it from the gas, I didn't realize he was preparing to use that thing until it was in my mouth. OMG! That thing is like a torture device!! I was in tears by the time he was finished!! I couldn't seem to get a grip! He said that it resonates through the bones of the skull, etc... and some people seem extremely sensitive to it...NO KIDDING!! Gads! That was awful!!!! I CANNOT deal with that thing!! I can still feel the vibration in my head.

Jodie, It seems to be your basic cold with Cam, but it really zapped his energy. It's more or less settled into that annoying cough that keeps you up all night... poor guy. Back to the grind tomorrow though. No packages from Virginia have arrived. Airholes?! Oooh! Did you send me Apolo?!?! OH! ....and don't even THINK about stopping those updates Jodie!! They're the highlights of this thread!!

Uh oh! LOL!! Is Betty being bombarded with PMs yet?!? I was going to PM her, but after that last Apolo crack...IIIIII'm not so sure. I'm going to have to think about this now.

I don't think there is a limit on thread length. The Parks Game Trivia thread on the Parks board is 519 pages & still going strong (93,000+ views and 7,700+ replies). I would imagine images could put a limit on them, but I'm not sure. Maybe one of the Mods could tell us?

I forgot to mention earlier, but Bonnie, I do agree wtih you. This does have a feel of the Cheerleader thread I like what Jodie did with your title idea! I think it fits perfectly. Truthfully I have no idea when they lock threads. I post on another thread that has well over 1000 replies and 80 or so pages and has been around for over a year. So who knows when they close them.

Betty, it's not a matter of being popular with PMs or anything. Truthfully besides my very few friends I PM with daily, I don't do much PMing at all Just with these, I seem to chat a lot and we keep talking I guess... much like what we say in this thread I hope the volleyball game went well too
