"The Disneyland Diet"

Hey all! Thanks for the welcomes!

Congrats to the "losers" :lmao:

I did my 30 minute walk on the treadmill...and my most proud moment was:
we had to stop and grab something to eat (not much time tonight..DH had a thing tonight...) so we stopped at McD's...the family had burgers and fries...me, I had a southwest chicken salad (grilled NOT crispy)...so, although, it's not the best dinner...it's better than burger and fries...so I feel good about that!

Wow, that would certainly be a reward for the reward!! I can only hope! We are go-go-goers so if I have fun and eat what I want but watch my portions maybe this can happen to me too! I plan to wear my pedometer at the parks. Has anyone ever done that and can share how many miles they walked in a day?

Good job everyone!! I know it makes it a lot better for me to have an end date and goal in mind...last time it was when I was a bridesmaid...I was the only bridesmaid that was in her 30s and a mother of two from pasty white Oregon. I was standing next to five gorgeous, tan, thin girls from California!! THAT is motivation!

I wore my pedomiter between DL and DCA and walked 5 miles!! I was very surprised!I think I would have gotten more benefits from it if I werent snacking all day on churros and Ice cream!! lol. eh what ever, I dont eat like that often, so why not!

Another pound off today!! I am beginning to feel so much better ! you girls are doing wonderful! Keep it going ))))))))) I am going to get a pedometer today, I want to track my walking in the parks to :) Still not dusted off the treadmill, maybe today!

You ladies have inspired me to get back in gear. I have gained almost 30 pounds in the last two years. Several years ago, I lost 50 pounds (I was nowhere near my ideal weight but I felt SO good) and it scares me to death that I have regained 30 of those back.

I haven't been able to get motivated but I am starting my WW eating plan as of today. It helps that my sister is in the same boat but she has actually lost 20 pounds in the last couple of months. I would like to lose the 30 pounds I gained back by Thanksgiving. Then my feet won't hurt so bad when we are at DL in December!

You are ALL doing such a great job! Thanks for the inspiration!

This is definitely an inspiring thread. I'm still nursing a numb left foot & until that's healed I won't be able to work out the way I'd like to. :yay: But I'm excited to get to it and I love hearing everyone's daily progress.

Working to clean up my eating in the meantime. Actually I eat pretty well already, I just need to be more concious about the choices I make.

Disney specials marathon on the Travel Channel today! I would treadmill while watching, if I could.

My first two days have gone well. I won't weigh myself until next week but I have really controlled my food intake. Not sure how I will do tonight because my sis and I are going shopping and then out to dinner (probably Olive Garden). My son has a double header tomorrow and Sunday will be a trip to Costco. I will be stocking up on fruits, veggies and chicken breasts.

How is everyone doing?

I am doing well, have 2 more pounds off and am fixing garlic fish today with a nice rice salad. did a lot of running around today, I am bushed. hope your all doing well to !! :)

I finally met my first goal of 25lbs off, now I am working on the second 25 lbs......:yay:

Everyone is doing so great! Just think how good it will feel to rush around the parks and not huff and puff all the time....:cool1:

GOOD JOB! WOOHOO!

All the walking and standing KILLS my knees and feet and I don't want to hurt like that anymore

You can have fish on a vegan diet?

No my mom ate it,( I cook for my parents.) and mom is on a better eating diet to. I had black beans and rice and vegan taco's for dinner  sorry I should not type so fast.
But I may give up the vegan diet when I hit the world, I want the candy :scared1: :lmao:

Okay, how is this week going for everyone? I weighed in yesterday and lost a pound...so, while we leave on Saturday for our trip, and my goal was 10 by the parks, I am officially at 8.4. I suppose in these last few days and the mad rushing I will do, I won't eat much and get more calories burned so possibly, possibly, possibly I will do it (unofficially of course). Or not. I got pretty close though and feel great about it.

Woo hoo Mickey here we come! Now the challenge will be eating wisely and trying not to lose momentum but instead lose weight while there LOL!

Hey there! I am going to DL is June and have been looking at websites with all of the places to eat so I can make good choices. A lot of places have a turkey sandwich or kids meals, which I will try to eat. I think that we can successfully stay on plan while at Disneyland and still enjoy a few treats every now and again, at least that is my plan!

Have fun and please come back to this thread and let us know how you did, what you ate, etc...

Yes, my plan is to make "the best choice possible given the options at the time" and then to treat myself by sharing bites with the fam. That is, a french fry from my kids' plate, not my OWN french fries...or a bite of my husband's ice cream, not my OWN ice cream. That way I can taste everything and not feel deprived but also not feel like I need to eat the whole thing.

Of course, if there is something I really, really, really want I am going to go for it, after all it IS vacation!!

But, I don't know what to do about the Blue Bayou. It's a tradition from my first visit there at 9 years old that I get the Monte Cristo. I don't even like it all that much anymore but I always get it because I always HAVE gotten it. Now I have to figure out something else!!

You sound like you are so prepared! Right on! I hope to be too!

I had the Monte Cristo in October (before I started WW) and it was horrible! It tasted greasy and was just awful, so it's not something I will ever want again. I'm not sure what they have that is healthy but you can always make it your one sort of un healthy meal, if you will!

I will be sharing some stuff with my 9 year old niece as well, but I have to have at least one Apple Pie Caramel Apple of my own!! It will be my one special treat! I don't care how many points it is!! LOL!

Hi everyone!

I hope you're all stickin' to it. I haven't have fast food in a week and a half. And I take lots of fruit to work ...and eat it too! I even started excercizing. Tried a new 30 min video Sun, and I managed to drag myself out of bed early to do it Tuesday and again today. So far so good, right? I get on the scale and find myself staring at the same numbers from last week.

I know. It's not going to happen over night. But come on! Can't I at least get just 1 lb off?? I guess that's one of the things that I liked about Atkins - instant gratification. But that's not a diet I want to go back to.

It's so hard to keep going after a disappointment like this.

Don't let this stop you!!! Stick with it. Years ago when I did WW before my wedding I was SO good for 2 weeks. I didn't cheat once, I got on the scale and hadn't lost a pound. I just burst out crying, why did I spend 2 weeks doing all that for nothing but I stuck with it and it caught up with me. I lost about 20 pounds total.

You can do it!!!

Well, that makes me feel better! I lost a great big HALF POUND last week! But my clothes feel better and my face looks less full to me.

LOL! At least there is an APPLE in the center!!

your all doing well, have fun and do not let the weight loss thing keep you from having a goodie or two. they say if you deprive your self to much you will go off your diet all together.
I am doing great, lost a few more pounds and feeling better each day. I have so much to loose its not funny but I just take it in 5 pound increments.
One day at a time !!!
