You can also have it waived if you get your food to go. If you do sit and eat IMHO its worth it, only once have we not been taken care of very well by the staff at the pepper market.

If you do sit and eat, unlike the other food courts you will have real utensils and napkins. The waitstaff refill drinks and get anything you need once your food is ordered.

Hi, from Poly thread! :wave2: We're doing this lunch on our trip, too. The price you paid when booking includes tax and gratuity so no tipping is required. princess:

I posted a question the other day about tips w/the DDP and having a larger party. Here were the answers I received on CRT tipping:

Gratuities at CRT are included when using DDP dining credits.

The question has been answered (tip is included in the price of CRT regardless of party size and whether or not you are using dining credits), so rather than moving this to the Tipping Information Thread, where all tipping discussion should be carried out on the restaurant boards, I am closing this thread.

Hi there! I just read your post on the Poly thread :goodvibes Too bad we're missing each other by a week! Thanks for the info on the tea...For close to three hundred bucks for two people, I would hope the tip is included ! :scared1: As for CRT, I paid OOP so I guess that means I'll have to tip extra...oh well, one out of two aint bad!

we just stayed at CSR and dined at the PM several times on the QSDDP....as the 2nd poster said it [10 % tip] is included in the cost of the DDP for this case...but we did tip [ a few bucks for great service] our server on 3 different occasions.

Our 1st time was a bit confusing w/ the ordering process, but after that it was nice and relaxing step up in the CS places...but price wise it's steep if you are not on the DDP. IMHO

We liked everything we ate especially the pizza, bugers, quesadillas and fajitas. Plus I know there is buzz about Tier 1 desserts only...but we got anything we wanted, from cookies, cakes, huge rice krispie blocks and ice cream sundaes all yummy!

Enjoy!

Thanks for letting us know about your recent experience at Pepper Market. There has always been confusion about the 10%. We've never paid it on the dining plan, but some people have. They really need to be consistent about their policy.

And thanks for the update on the desserts. Someone else reported that they were no longer limiting it to Tier 1 or 2 and that you could get any dessert. I was waiting for a second person to confirm. Thanks again. :goodvibes

While the tip is included in the price of CRT, it is not included at Akershus. You should plan to add a tip there.

I think gratuity IS included when you paid for CRT....see above posts again. So just the Norway princess lunch needs tipping. Have a WONDERFUL trip. Please report in on the Poly thread regarding that Princess Tea Party. It is one of the things I'm most looking foward to during our trip. I think my daughter will LOVE it! :lovestruc

The tip is included at CRT no matter how you pay. Same with Hoop Dee Doo.

We'll be booking our ADR's tomorrow under our GGing number but splitting into two parties of four. Will they try and seat us close together and will they include the auto tip since it's a GGing...even though we'll be separate tables?

You've got separate reservations. But if you give any indication that you are a group, or ask to be near each other, you may be charged the auto tip anyway if you're all placed in an area where both tables have the same server.

This is basically a tipping question so I am moving it to the Tipping Information Thread.

OK, I have a question, I did read the rules, so I will try to ask this question without breaking any.

First, we will be on the DDP, most of our meals are either pay one price per person as they are served family style or buffet. I have sat down and figured out what the tip should be based on the amount of people eating and the percent I intend to give. I have prepared my tip envelopes accordingly. My question really boils down to this, we are doing CRT and Spirit of Aloha, both of these I have read that the tip is included in the price for the meal, therefore I will assume my server is being tipped: Am I expected to leave an additional tip????

If this is asked somewhere on this thread, sorry, but I just could not read all of this thread.

You are not expected to leave an additional tip where the tip is included in the 'cost' of the meal. You certainly can, if the service is outstanding - but you are not expected to.

Parties of six or more are assesed an automatic 18% gratuity at all Disney table service.

Moving this to the Tipping Information Thread, where all tipping discussion on the Restaurant Boards is carried out. See the first page of the tipping thread for information on tipping discussion policies.

I know you can use the Tables in Wonderland card to get a discount at the lounges at the various resorts, but i am wondering whether they add the gratuity in there or not? We have used the card at many restaurants (where they do add the 18% gratuity), but have only used it one time at a lounge. That was at AK, and it didn't seem like they added it in, so we tipped accordingly (or if they did add it in, and we didn't realize it, then we tipped *really* well! :rotfl:)

I was wondering what the real policy is w/lounges and the TiW card? Going back in a week and a half and already planning on trying lots of the yummy drinks I've been reading about! Don't want to undertip, but also don't want to inadvertently give a 36% gratuity each time.

We've used our card several times at Rose & Crown pub (only ordering drinks at the bar, not eating in the restaurant), and they have always added the gratuity on. I don't know if they are more inclined to add it there because it is also a restaurant. I believe it is standard to add it on no matter where you use it.

oh, you can do that? I was wondering about that....just order drinks at the Pub and not food and use your TiW card? Awesome! My husband will be *very* excited!!!

Yes. You can order food at the bar too. But if you do and use your TIW card for the discount you'll still pay an 18% tip on it.

The auto gratuity is added everywhere except counter service (anywhere a tip would be expected for a server or bartender).

Moving this to the Tipping INformation Thread.
