The Disney Confessional

I pardon you.

I also thought DL didn't serve alcohol...but maybe it's things like your trip backstage that are the real reason MK is "dry".

Disneyland itself is dry, but you can walk RIGHT across the street to California Adventure and they sell booze in that park ! and there is a bar in Downtown Disney very close to the entrance also. Im SURE that is why they dont allow booze in actual DL. crazy drunk people like my former self would ruin it !
glad those days are over !

When I was 8.5 months pregnant we were at MVMCP. We just got in line to meet Scrooge when I suddenly has to pee, and there was no waiting. I got out of line, ran to the bathroom, and ran back. (Yes I did literally run haha) I joined him back in line just in time to meet Scrooge.

I think any dis-er who has been 8 months pregnant could forgive that!!! :rotfl:

No pool hopping. That's elementary, my dear. ;)

And I suppose it would be wrong to confess and think of forgiveness when I'm not sorry and given the chance I'll repeat the offense. lol

Is it pool hopping if you stay at one resort and your parents ( Thank God ) stayed at another and you went there after the parks and swam? 'Cause I didn't do that, I'm just wondering, is all. :rolleyes1

Just remembered another one ...

I am guilty of ordering kids' meals for myself :)

I took home a monkey towel animal (and DCL hanger) from my first cruise in 2005. I still have it hanging in my closet.

I'm sure this will get ugly with a quickness but here it goes

Years ago I lost my mickey hat on splash mountain, the CM told me to "go to lost and found later on that evening to possibly get it back". I went as soon as I got off the ride and told them "I lost my hat on splash mountain", the CM brought out the exact same hat and I said yea that's it and went on my way knowing it wasn't because I had just lost mine. But I couldn't see my brand new 25.00 hat go bye bye and the sun was a B.. that day. :flower3:

So that's what happened to my hat!!!:headache::rotfl:

:rotfl:Ok, I'll share a *lesser* sin. Actually this IS a sin because I essentially "stole" something--even if by accident.

Years ago, maybe 5 or 6, I ate lunch at the Castle with my parents and 4 friends of theirs. We had a very nice lunch and at the time I could not do Disney without my handy dandy fanny pack.:rolleyes: It was an Eagle Creek one and dark purple. About 30 mins. after leaving the Castle I look down and see that I have a Cinderella's Royal Table dark purple napkin stuff in between my shirt and fanny pack! Not sure why I didn't take it back then but I remember saying I'd take it back later and I never did, when we moved last year I found that napkin among my Disney treasures.

I feel badly about this one and probably should go to confession for it even though I'm not even Catholic.

Think they still use purple ones? I could tell DH that I need to make this wrong right by returning it ASAP. :rotfl:

I've reused a mug before. I've used a FP past the time because I do not even think that is a rule breaking thing.
I've never done that dinner reservation thing. No, no. I'd feel really guilty about that one. (shame, shame ;) )

I haven't quite seen my sin confessed here...

Oh I've done that one too. :)

I took home a monkey towel animal (and DCL hanger) from my first cruise in 2005. I still have it hanging in my closet.

I have even done this one...I went to POR for my b-day with DH one year w/o DD and they left a towel animal in the room (never had one before). I took it home to show DD.:scared1: Then I took it apart and returned to whatever WDW resort we stayed in the next trip. Probably within 6 months. :)

You still have your's so you are more guilty than I am. ;)

So many sins...

...I've pool-hopped (beach club). This was years before the lock-down security of having wrist bands.
...I've used pool towels as extras for our room (DVC).
...I've taken home the coffee packs that come with the room (when I bring my own coffee).
...Disney doesn't supply enough sugar for my coffee tastes, so I take packs at the fast food locations and squirrel them away for my morning coffee.
...I've parked at the Contemporary and walked and/or monorailed to the MK (horrors!)
...I have a a few pool towels here with me at home. Had wrapped up wet bathing suits in them and next thing I knew, they were here at home.
...I've used fast passes way after the allotted time frame.
...I haven't always tipped our cleaning ladies for our room.
...I've made dining reservations, changed plans during the course of the day, and didn't call to release them.

Now, there. I feel better. Got most of them off my chest.

Am I forgiven? Can I return to WDW? Or have I been banished to the outer edges of the MK parking lot with no tram service back to the Kingdom?

DH made a female CM stomp her foot and say "Damn!!!" on Christmas Eve. He's also guilty of "selling" dinner reservations to several people at work for dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas day at two different EPCOT restaurants. No money exchanged...only favors accepted. We're kind of bad. :sad2:

Our first trip ever was in 2000. I was very naive about traveling with family. We went for a family reunion. There were 20 of us, so I asked a few members of the family if I could have their soaps, shampoo's, etc for souveniers. We didn't have much money back then. My BIL's thought it would be funny to take a case of shampoo's and soaps off the Mousekeepers cart. They gave it to me on the plane ride home. I never returned it, and actually have the whole bag of them still in my linen cabinet.

I don't think I have any actual rule-breaking to report, but I have broken some DIS "rules":

I've taken little bottles of bubbles for my kids to blow while standing in line.
I've let my strong and healthy 7-year-old ride in a stroller.
I've kept my toddlers out at the parks for 12 hours and thus caused them to tantrum on the bus ride back to the hotel.
I've used the "companion" restrooms (quickly!) with one or two of my toddlers, just for convenience.

I'm sure there are more...

Ooh, does hoarding and taking home tons of H20 products count as a sin? If so, I'm totally guilty ;)

*As a teen, I carried in my cousin's nephew. Not to sneak him in--we had a ticket for him. He just was tired and didn't want to walk. But they never asked us for it. He was three.

We told my mom of our luck. A bunch of us were at Fort Wilderness and one of my cousin's mom had had only enough for one day while the rest of us had more days. So, they suggested we try carrying him in again--and not wanting him to feel that lying everywhere was okay--we taught him his "real age" and his "disney age". He thought it was the greatest game.

In he went to the parks for free and my cousin got to hang with us for another day in the parks. (not his mom--different cousin).

I wouldn't be caught dead doing that with my own children. At midnight of their 3rd birthday, they turn into a pumpkin and we don't take them in without paying for them.

* I pool hopped....back when it was legal.

gosh...now I will have to read the thread. I'm not so much of a goody two shoes that I haven't done other things. But I can't think of much at the moment.

ETA: Thought of one---when I was about 3....I had peed my pants while in the IASW ride. Didn't tell my parents....and I rode IASW standing up. I totally remember not wanting to sit down and not doing so....not sure if they had cameras back then or if I was so short that it didn't look like I was standing up...but I wasn't seated. And thus for the germaphobes..I didn't get my germs all over the boat seat.

A few years ago when I went to Disneyland with my mom, we were let in the park at 7:30, although there was a rope hanging in Main Street until 8 am. We were about half way to it when I yelled "Hey Mom, I see Dad over there!" Funny thing is, my dad wasn't even on that trip. That did get us pretty close to the front. Am I sorry I did that? Honestly, no. Would I do it again? Hell yeah!!!:thumbsup2

The week before I moved to Virginia...

I stayed at a Disney resort with my kids...breaking occupancy rules. We went to DTD to visit BIL and the let us camp out in their resort room. Won't say which one--won't say by how many....but I will say that karma bit me in the but as we lost our renter that night....

But Jennasis must have known and forgiven me b/c the very next day---we were on it like white on rice and got (thus far) the best renters one could ever hope for.

And I do regret doing that--b/c it was the crappiest night of sleep in a long time. Even if I did spend all that week on an air mattress in an empty house.

just a question, is using a fast pass AFTER the time stamped on it actually a "sin" ? i thought that was allowed that you can use it anytime after the start time? i dont use fast pass a lot so im not positive at all, thats why im asking. I thought a cast member told us that though while we were at the park.... but then again cast members say all sorts of crazy things... so set me straight! what is the policy on those fast passes?

I Would say no. I have asked CM's numerous times and it is permitted by any and all in all theme parks on any ride. At least in our experience.

Oops, remembered about another one.

We room-stuffed with DVC. Yep, those one bedroom villas originally were listed as max. occupancy of 4. We always put 5 in the room. DS was so small that sleeping on the loveseat was perfectly ok for him and we didn't want to waste the points going up to a 2 bedroom when it wasn't needed. Now the units allow 5. We must not have been the only ones breaking that rule.

Disney sins:

-- I have taken a pool towel to my room to use as an extra towel (to wrap my hair in) for my stay.
-- I have taken two small towel animals hoem with me.
-- I have reused a mug (okay so last years are the same as this year's. We did a split stay where we had two different dining plans and the dining plan at the beginnin gof our trip did not include mugs, so we used ours from last July at the beginning of our stay and then when we switched hotels and had the dining plan with mugs we got our new ones).
-- Husbter and I have figured out a system for multiple rides using FPs and Child Swap passes (no baby disgusies needed).
-- We get FPs in the morning and use them at night.

I had no idea taking a towel from the pool for my hair was bad. Wow I just walk off with them and after I'm done I leave them with the rest of the towels. Had no clue!
