Getting ready to take the plunge, just one question. If booking at one of the Disney Collection , such as Animal Kingdom, can you make resies at 11 mths or do you have to wait for the 7 mths window, and if it is 7 mths what are the chances of getting in between June and August. Thanks

All non-DVC options are available 11 months in advance, just like Home Resort reservations. Only non-home reservations at DVC resorts need to wait until 7 months.

Just wanted to add that the only limitation to booking something from the Disney Collection is availability at the destination resort. There are no set number of rooms reserved for DVC members.

So IMHO, you are not going to have trouble getting into the AKL -especially if you make the reservation 11 months ahead of time. Seems to me that there are usually rooms available at the AKL, even quite close to arrival.
