The Disney Chiques Clique meeting held here

hmm :) Note To Self,, You must start watching tv,, you remember htat other black box over there in the entertainment center,, the one you occasionallyy satre at for a few min,, gretaly improves discussion matter,, and for goodness asake stop watching hgtv and food network,, there might even be a decent watchable program on regular tv ever y now and then,, go get hte remote and turn it on,, i'm sure i remember how,, i must r emember how,,

Froggy, don't get me started on my TLC fix. I love to watch "Clean Sweep", "In a Fix" and "What Not to Wear".

My husband thinks it's really weird that I watch OTHER PEOPLE getting their stuff organized and spiffed up rather than working on our own! Then I hit him with the remote, and he's quiet again (just kidding!).

After reading this - yes, I DO watch too much tv! Thank goodness for summer - I wean myself then (except for Amazing Race), only to start again in the fall.

Sandy

since my accidentr in oct i watch hgtv and tlc and fod network to the point i can ussually tell ya whats on,, but since my eye is messed up i ussually just listen to the tv,, cnt stay focused on the screen for long, but i use those to get my fix,, i am a disabled carpenter and home remodeling specialist and since i am off work watchign those shows and the stuff they do wrong on them keps me sharp for when i get back to work. ok now i'm going to attempt to watch somethings gotta give with dw,, or at least listen to it.. hopewfully..lol.. bbl

Well, good luck "watching" the movie, Froggy!

Tell us if it's good, Froggy. I haven't seen that one.

Sandy V.- I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE CLEAN SWEEP!!!!!!! I rarely find anyone else who loves it too-except my mom! I am big on organizing and getting rid of stuff. When I see someones room full of clutter I have to urge to grab a trash bag and some bins and go at it! LOL!

My DH keeps telling me we need to be on it. I keep telling him we need a BIGGER house so I can have an office.

I know, Liz. There's just something about looking into someone else's house and seeing their "junky" rooms and watching them get organized that appeals to me. Maybe it makes me feel better because as messy as my house can get sometimes, it's NOTHING like those rooms.

I'm always amazed at what people hang on to. But I'm not particularly sentimental about "things" - except for photographs and yearbooks! Those you would have to pry out of my hands after a long fight!

Then again, I'm fairly certain that a number of people deliberately stockpile things into a few rooms just so they can be on the show!

Sandy

Sandy, I don't know if I'm ready for the middle school years yet!! I'm a nervous wreck about it and feel I don't have much time to prepare. We start back to school July 30th
:earseek: , much too soon in my opinion. My youngest DD will be in 1st grade, I can handle that one much easier.

Thank you, my boys are my reason for life, and I could just stare at them all day!!Of course, thats easy for me to say while I'm at work. Tomorrow, after 11 hours of fighting, it might be a different story,LOL!!:hyper:

Going BACK to school July 30th, Heather? Wow - That's soon!

I sincerely hope that your daughter has smooth sailing in middle school. But in some bizarre way, having a few moments of dealing with snotty kids, etc. can teach them some life lessons about standing up for themselves against jerks/bullies and to stand up for others in the same position if the situation presents itself. Of course, I realize that for some kids, it's more than just a "few" moments, and that really makes me feel bad for those poor kids. That's not what I'm talking about - no one should have to go through abuse on a regular basis.

Mine were relatively lucky compared to some kids they knew - they only had a few "incidents" that bothered them (at least that they told me about) in middle school. Most of it does get ironed out by the end of 8th grade and the kids seem to genuinely relax and accept each other much better as individuals once they're in high school.

Good luck - and yes, you WILL have moments when you want to punch some kid's lights out (or his parent's). I'd be surprised if you haven't had those feelings already - 5th grade was the worst for my daughter. The difficult part for me was shutting my mouth and staying out of it.

movie was ok, not one to wartch with kids though at leat in my book. was impressed that the "older" cast was the ones doing all the nude and "love" scenes,, and the story really was a good one,, butthen again i like jacjks work,, and diane is just still wayy too hot ::)

I hope everyone is having a nice evening. We went pool shopping today, it was kind of like work, but I'm sure it will all work out. Going to see my brother tonight before he leaves to go back to Orlando. Gosh, I miss him when he's gone. Oh well, six more months and it will be my turn to visit him.:)

I think DH and I are going to watch a movie. Don't know which one yet! Had a quick dinner.. just grilled cheese.. blech. I was outside trimming the hedge when a cicada attacked me! LOL It flew right at me, hit my neck and made this horrible noise. Almost like it was yelling at me! Freaked me out! I'm still twitching! LOL

Hey guys, such a busy day I had. And we leave tomorrow for the World. Everyone have a wonderful week ahead I am quite sure I will.

Can I ask to pass the "torch" to someone whilst I'm away? This certainly is turning into a nice thread. Lets keep it up.

Everyone be well and behave;)

Ciao

Until we meet again:wave:

Ew, ew, ew! I'd still be twitching, too! I am so glad we haven't seen any here yet.

Consider yourself lucky! They are literally everywhere! They are really loud too. You can even hear them when your inside w/the windows closed! It almost sounds like running water. As soon as you step outside, it's almost deafening. A high pitch screach almost. My friends dog is going mad! LOL My youngest daughter found a pair mating today! She says to me, "Look Mom! I found twins!" :p

Anne...

I hope you have a wonderful trip! Take lots of notes and tons of pictures! Can't wait to hear your trip report when you get back!
