I expect to see a big McCain/Palin spike in votes now that the work day is over.

This is OT, but I am REALLY confused about something:
I have voted at the same location for 17 years. EVERY year its a "part of the process"... waiting in the lines. Its NEVER less than 45 minutes, and averages about an hour. Last year was an hour and a half. I've tried it all different times of the day, and its always about the same.
This year, we voted today around 5:00PM. It was a GHOST TOWN! We walked right up, and voted. I mean NO wait at all. Not even a person in front of us. We rode by (its on the way home) 3 different times. All 3 times, about 2 hours apart each, not hardly a soul there. Our last trip by (after picking up the kids) It was 7:00, the lights were off, and the parking lot was dark and empty.
So did EVERYONE vote early or did they just not vote?
Have there been any indications that there were less voters? I would have assumed the opposite.

I mean this in the most respectful way, even though I didn't vote for Obama.... I think many Democrats are very creative people. And because of that creativity, they often have jobs that allow them to work from home or other non-traditional situations. Thus, they have more time to DIS.

Of course, I also think, because they are so creative that they are often more caught up in ideals vs. reality and that also leads them to vote for Obama/Dems.

It's worth noting that at the time this comment was made, this poll had McCain +3%. Now it's McCain +7%.

In other words, TCPluto was correct.
