I've popped on to read a few times. See I'm still a lurker too! But have I missed anything important for the trip?

I think I'll take my bambi messenger bag I got last year. It doesnt get dirty easily and its kinda cute. A little larger than I wanted but that's alright I guess!
We carry almost everything in a backpack, and it works well. Somebody mentioned not carrying a camera (because of always having to carry something) but that just isn't possible with me, it's sort of another appendage. And get this! My FIL actually complimented me last Saturday on my photography skills! I was stunned that he said something nice about me!

Oh...I missed the rice krispie discussion from the other day (I had quoted it, but then DH called to let me know I was coming in to work 5 hours early (like I can argue right now))

Follow the recipe exact, but as you are melting the butter, add a box or bag (whichever you can find) of red hots (the little tiny round cinnamon candies). Stir until these are melted completely, and then follow the rest of the ingredients. These are super yummy :lovestruc
Ooooo! DH loves cinnamon, and loves rice krispy treats (or "rice Christmas trees", as DS7 used to call them.) I bet he'd LOVE these!

purses just your size? :confused3
 :rotfl2:

   This is going to be the longest drive of my life. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
You two are killin' me!!! :lmao:

Do it, I'll help you! you can crawl out the window, I'll have a step stool waiting if you ahve to get over the fence. :lmao: I can have the van out front and we'll push it down the street so it doesnt make any noise and then start it when we are a min. of 7 houses away from theirs.

Ok I've never snuck out but this seems the way you do it. :thumbsup2
Shawna, you are on a roll this morning! Puking clearly agrees with you!!! :thumbsup2

Dont they still do this too? :lmao:

ahh, but I don't need to clean it up, thus it not longer exists to me :thumbsup2

N did wake us up at 2 am a few weeks ago

.. mom.. mom.....

what?

I puked...

yeah for you ...

mom..

yeah?

I kinda missed.

oh? OH!

tap tap tap.. Eloy, he puked and missed.

Hubby: zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I go to look, open the bathroom door carefully OMG!:scared1: shut door.. run back and get hubby.
:lmao:

yeah, I made him do the dirty work of clean up. It was BAD!

I washed 3 sets of sheets this morning so no making it to the potty yet! Although he is better now thank goodness. I dont think he has anything in him though. As soon as a sip of water or sprite hits his little tummy it comes back up!
Try popsicles! I'm tellin' you, it's the only thing that has ever worked for me, and it works every time! :thumbsup2

I gave DS7 some on Sunday morning (though he hadn't gotten sick since 5 AM, this was around 7 AM) and he felt better afterward.

By the way, he didn't make it to the bathroom, either. His pillow got toasted, then he started losing it when DH carried him into the bathroom. DH sat him at the sink while he tossed the pillow into the tub. I was thinking, "Why didn't you put him at the toilet, not the sink?" But whatever, at least it wasn't all over the bedding or the hallway, you know? Baby steps. :)

Boy I hope not!!!
:lmao:

I used to do the backpack thing when I was younger and keep all my winter clothes and water bottles in there. We always have a backpack with us when we go with the kids to keep extra changes of clothing just in case a whole soda dumps on one of them. This has happened before!!!

I'm thinking the locker could be good so I dont have to lug one around.

Did I tell you guys about the time I jammed one of the lockers really bad. The girl from Guest Relations could not get it open! my brother and I were so embarrassed when they had to call maintenence out to help get it open. We just put too much stuff in.

yes, and now everytime we stuff a locker I make a wish that it won't get stuck . :lmao:

Thank you ma'am.

Oh, I saw your post where you are going to start making clothes for Mikalah, happy late birthday to her by the way.

Anyway, I LOVE the patterns from Simplicity that are the "That's so Raven" line. They look just like Limited Too and Justice clothing stores. Those are Morgan's favorite stores. You should check them out. They have some cute stuff!
Staley, I meant to comment on this last night and forgot. Even if you're making her clothes, you'll likely still have to adjust the pattern for her toddler shape/size. Toddler patterns will need to be adjusted larger, if you get the right size, you'll need to adjust the shape to hers. But it will be easier with patterns that aren't fitted.

And another plus, you should be able to find stuff that won't make her look older than she actually is. She's still a baby, and if she's wearing size 6, good grief! Some of the clothes I've seen little girls wearing! There's a girl that was in DS's kindergarten class, and she's a little hoochie already! :sad2:

I felt like when I picked him up to run him to the toilet I would squeeze his tummy no matter how I held him and make it come out faster. :sad2: Every time it happened Jeff woke up like the house was on fire except he wasnt helping he was just looking around in a panic then would pass out again. Not sure he fully woke up!

Ohhh I bought some sugar free popsicles the other day. I'll try those. Thanks!

:lmao: :lmao: I have a secret for you.. We used to let Alex pick out his own pull ups, and he picked the princess ones EVERY TIME!:lmao: Of course!!! He loves pretty girls.
:lmao:

Pink princess Pullups huh! Thats so cute!!! :)
Yeahhhh... I told DH when he called, and I could just hear the :headache: in his voice. :rotfl2:

:lmao: I have like 6 of the patterns but havent attempted them yet. They were just cute so i bought them! :lmao:

Hey, did Sarah start her sewing class?
It was supposed to start last night, but she wasn't sure she'd make it since her BF sliced open his finger to the bone. She said he didn't go to the hospital (or even the doc!), so I'm guessing she went, don't know for sure though. :confused3

I can't wait to go!!!

puke and pee .. lovely discussions

I will say it again.. I'm soooooooooooo glad to have tweens/teens
Hmmm... safe sex... driving... drinking parties... I know my turn's coming on all that, but I'll take the puking and peeing for now. ;)

He is the happiest little boy because I found spiderman popsicles in the freezer. :) I hope he can keep them down!

Alex, did I see you were joining us for breakfast on Sunday as well with your family?

Bernice, are you going or are you headed back home that day? I cant remember.

My mom made clothes for friends/ family that had "husky" sized little girls, she was sad to see women's grownup clothes on a young child (too much black leggings too).

She would take a regular pattern and adjust it to look more little girl-like. Changing the collar, adding lace/ bows. Right length for a child.

I told her she should go into business, the need is there and not much competition.

Oh boy! I hope he is ok! Why don't men go to the DR??? :sad2:

I agree 100% here!!! :scared1:

True, but I have no worries about J.. N on the other hand :rolleyes1 he's Mr Popular at school and has a tendency to explore the world more than his brother.
Though in his case, I worry about him getting bit by a snake or tangling with something he shouldn't right now.. only to change to peer pressure concerns as he gets older.

He likes walking on the nature trails/ mountian paths around here.. seeing snakes, lizards, etc... we told him to stay away from the snakes, they do have rattlers around here.

Oh thats cool. I hope I have that vision when it comes to sewing someday. Right now I am concentrating on sticking to the pattern. But I have to say I have the opposite problem with Morgan. She is a toothpick but is so skinny that clothes fall off of her. Adjustable waist or not it doesnt work. She can only wear 1 kind of 8 slim jeans and believe me I have looked everywhere. I did make a skirt a little smaller and I was shocked it actually worked since I guessed at how much to take in.

It just stinks that everything is just about 1 size fits all but in reality one size fits few.

No kidding! I see a lot of cute girls clothes for DS7's age group, but also a lot of slutty looking stuff, I'm just stunned people dress their kids in that! They're just little girls, people!

Even the boys' clothes for DS3 and DS7 look like "little men" or surly teenagers instead of little boys. I saw a line of obnoxious t-shirts with sayings on them. One had obnoxious excuses for not doing his homework, another hard a smart-alec response to a parental request. :confused3

I'll be in the park on Sunday until hubby coems to fetch me.

I aksed him what time??? he said "whenever you tell me too since I don't have any balls, or rather now that you're in charge of them " :rotfl2:

He smiled as I spluttered and cried foul! Not true! And threw pillows at him.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh, shoot! Time for me to go already!

I need to sign DS7 up for summer baseball, and it will be easier to do without DS3 running up and down the hall of the facility. :headache:

So will get that done and pick him up on the way back. Should be back in about 45 minutes, and I'll check to see if anybody's still here. :thumbsup2
