LOL! I don't know! Are you going in June? I will be there and we got our AP's back so we will be going back more often this year. I would have loved to have been able to go to the Ladies Only trip but I need to save up my vacation time for my June trip. I think I may hang out over here on the community board and pop in to this post every once in a while. Goodness gracious, it's hard to keep up on this post though. LOL!! Just an FYI I would never try to harm a child or be mean to them. It's something me and my husband do amongst ourselves. I have never had anyone hate on me so bad. I feel kinda freaked out while I am in DL that one of the loonies is gonna find me and try to leash me or something.

I am going in June, it's up in the air though between second week and third, so when will you be there?

I will be on the April trip, but with family in tow so I won't get to do all the ladies only things but I have to see my hyenas when I can!!

You can bark at me just for the fun of it in June if you want to!! I might growl at you though!! Actually, you could just throw a churro to me, I'll go dig a whole in the planter by the castle and save it to dig up later!!!

she made a comment on a post about kids and leashes that shen she sees a kid in one that her and her husband kind of do a barking noise...but its really quiet...just doing it so each other can hear it....and she got slammed on and some idiot told her to leave and not come back and it upset her so she pmd me...i told them a few things...i told you guys...if someone messes with one of you or one of my other friends the BEAST rears its ugly head...I will have NONE of it....EVER

I haven't read the post you're talking about (I will in a sec), but I have to admit when she said she barks when she sees a kid on a leash, I was kinda peeved. (She did NOT say she does it quietly so just she and her DH hear, either.)

I thought, "Man, you bark at me or my kid, you will NOT be happy camper!"

It just bugs me when people make judgements when they DON'T have kids, or don't have one like DS3, who is a Houdini and a runner. You just DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO to keep the kid safe, and if that means tethering them to their parent until they learn to stay with you, so be it.

I remember reading a post by someone a year or two ago, and they said something like "people with kids who can't stay by their parent should just stay home." Apparently the good things this world has to offer are only for the rest of you.

In one of my rebuttals I wrote something to the fact that we don't run up to the kids and do it in their faces. I wasn't going to justify what I said. I didn't feel the need to. I wasn't bothered really until they started personally insulting me and the whole punch in the face comment. Then the new thread directed at me.

AAAKKKK! enough about that. I need to catch up on this thread. I know you ladies are a tight knit group.

Gawd.. I do that with Mikalah when she is screaming for no reason at all. Too bad she is screaming so loud her eyes are closed and she cant hear me.

I don't think they meant it that way. I guess the way I come at it (and I know you do to an extent) is that I warn my kids (even Nathan, once they can walk, they are NEVER to young to know I mean business!) that they stay by me and walk with me or they don't get to. Simple as that. If that means they spend the majority of their time in the stroller, then so be it.

People act like their kids HAVE to explore, how mean it is to be in a stroller. Shoot, I'd love to be pampered and pushed around the park all day, there's nothing mean about it. It's not like they NEVER get to get out!!! It's also not like they never get to explore the world, a few days being in the stroller a bit is NOT going to harm them either.

And frankly, we all held hands with our parents and my arm is still fully attached so I don't think it's that evil to make them hold hands either!! Poor thing, arm gets tired. Well that's life as far as I am concerned, and we all did just fine with no major arm surgeries because of it!!

I am also in the group where I NEVER notice anyone else on vacation!! Countless times I have been there when huge celebrities have been. Have I EVER noticed? NOPE! I just have to much going on with my own three to watch any others!! SO I guess I am in the category of I would never personally use them, but I can't stop others so why get upset about it?

I'm not!! I graduated from Highland High in 1997 and then moved up here to Vegas. Gosh, I knew some HOT guys that went to Mountain View, lucky!!!

Right. Most people try to get their kids into DL free for about 6 months after turning 3. Your goal was just to get her in free until she turned 2!!!

No worries, I have those days alot!! I usually don't come on here when I feel like that because I know in actuality, my life is NOT that bad and I have it pretty darn good. But we need pity parties every once in a while, then I get over it!! I am making up for the fact that my whole last summer was one GIANT pity party and now I refues to ruin another one this year!!

I'm here for you though, you can call if you still have my # in your phone!! No school tomorrow here so we will be up late! (Unfortunately, I still have to work!!)
