Bets- I heard that you can't reserve the Radisson limo to the port until you check in but you said you email 2 weeks before? THIS I want to work out now. I want to figure out the whole airport-WDW-Radisson-port-whatever-airport thing.

There is a limo!? Yes, let us figure out how to do this right away! Is this different from the shuttle?

Annie - did not think about the 2 flight idea. Flying on SW passes so 2of the "legs" would be free. But would like to see a few things along the way which is why I was looking at driving down. Was thinking if I called and begged maybe Hertz would drop the one way penalty. Wishful thinking I figure.

it is VERY cold here! The temperature outside my office is 54!! bRR...

It was 29 in my car when I left work this evening with lots of wind...makes the wind chill around 19! But I agree that I want more than 54 degrees when we come down there in a couple of weeks! Maybe 54 for the LOW of the day I could live with... Hopefully this cold snap is just a fluke!? How often does it get this cold? Are you on the East Coast or the West Coast or due South of WDW?

I meant "Radisson shuttle". I hate to hire a limo for the short drive from hotel to port - but there is no way a taxi is going to have room for all of us, our luggage and our coolers.

OK thought maybe you all knew a secret handshake for a limo ride. Like high rollers in Vegas or something.

Right now unless I work out the rental car thing. We will fly SW to MCO and use our limo dude for a ride to Radisson on 7/18 - we will stay there unil 7/20 cruise until 7/24 and then perhaps stay the rest of the week at the Doubletree Oceanfront or the Hilton Oceanfront. Then limo dude it back to MCO and fly home.

I may have to make my trip East during Spring Break 2009 with my mom - and see where I was born in NC and Savannah Ga. Somewhere I have always wanted to go. Don't really know why I just do.

Brother backed out on Spring Break plans this year....so what am I gonna do...what to do...what to do...

Maybe skiing.

Hey Betsy - I got an important question for ya! However we go (rental car or limo service) we wanted to stop for a beer run on the way to the port on Sunday morning. I read somewhere the other day that you couldn't buy any alcohol before Noon on Sunday (that's the way it is here)! Is that true for FL as well? I had hoped to try to be at the port by 10 or 10:30! So THAT is a problem! (DH would like a Miller Lite 30 pack cube...I could pack my "stuff" if I have to...but it would be easier to just buy it there...but I don't think I'll be packing a case of beer! )

But anyway, I am really trying to find out about this Noon law...if this is true then I might need to barter a trade with one of ya'll! LOL...

Sunday sales vary by county..I think the port is Brevard county..I will ask my friend who lives there, but pretty sure you better buy it on saturday night..

it is soooo cold!! I have a heated mattress pad (stop laughing.i am happy to have it now) I can't wait to snuggle in my bed tonight!!

HeeHee I keep flannel sheets on my bed all year round. I just loooove the soft feel.

And the girls around here wear Ugg(ies) all year as well. Very interesting combo that shorts, spaghetti strap (barely there) t-shirt and Ugg boots. Well, it IS San Diego.

And we will be making our booze run on the way from the airport. That way we don't have to think about it. Just put it away in the room somewhere.

De-Santafication process is almost complete. Just throw the ornaments in the boxes and cram the tree back in its box. And run to Target praying there are big storage buckets left - apparently I bought a few things this year.

DH would be such a sweaty nasty thing if I kept flannel sheets on year round! Winter - OK...not so much other than Dec - March!

OK, so if we can't buy beer on the way over on Sun. AM who's willing to pick up an extra 30 pack of Miller Lite?!?! I can pack my box of wine! (And now I'm thinkin' of using plastic water bottles for the dear old Captain....no glass to break...)

kate is at my mom's house today and tomorrow...she is on the beach where it is about 10 degrees warmer than it is at home!! This morning, my car said it was 40 outside and the wind was so strong..it cut through you!!

T&O just came back from Michigan, so they are probably in shorts and tanks!!

Bets: don't freeze! I can see it now...Bets has put on everything in her closet, layer by layer. You could always get inventive and make a blanket into some sort of shawl (think "Enchanted" like)
