And that is so cool about the night inthe Castle. On my recent visit I was with about 20 Disers on Main St. As soon as we dispersed I went to the side to make a call. While on the phone the night in the Castle was given away!!! Can you imagine if we had all still been there and the fights over who actually should get it.

SueEllen - not done. Must go get ink to finish Christmas cards. Bought new tennis shoes last night (why do they call them that? I don't play tennis)Went to put them on....big sensor tag still on them! Need cake ingredients.

Ryan is going to friends house to play reindeer games so Linden and I are going to boogie.

Also - question for DU people. I am hearing CostCo is getting back into the DCL market with cash kickbacks. I thought they were cutting the discount program? What is going on with this? Anyone know?

Hey ya'll...

Can we say BUSY?! Good grief Charlie Brown!

Johnna - the ink thing happened to me last year when I went to print our letters that we send to all the people we never talk to anymore...I loaded the stationery...hit 30 copies or whatever it was & went about my business doing whatever else it was that I was doing. Came back a few minutes later to be sure they weren't flying off the printer into the floor or something & discovered that only about the first 10 copies had actually made it out with a legible amount of INK on them!! They were just ruined pieces of paper with this light purple-ish hue of something on them instead of blue ink. So I feel your pain.......

Did I mentoin I HATE WEATHERMEN!!!!

I woke up this morning to nothing, but a phone call saying there was a 2 hour school delay. I thought huh???? Last I heard we were getting a "long duration event with minimal accumulation". They were saying 1-2 inches in our area so I didnt really think much of it. It has been snowing to beat the band (what does that mean anyway???) since about 7:00 AM! We must have at least 6-8 inches. DH took the CRV since he has far to drive. I just had to get my hair cut so a couple miles isnt bad, right? Holy Cow! Getting out of my driveway, which is a hill, was a you know what. I slipped and hit the house twice. I shoveled part of the street earlier, then right before I was leaving a plow finally came. I can't stand this!!! But I got the haircut and my bangs are no longer in my eyes, and Im home. Now for the kiddos and DH to make it home safely too.

Sorry Johnna, I don't know much about Costco.

Goodness...Katie please be safe in the snow! I thought we were to get rain today. It started raining about midnight here and by the time we got up...nothing but sunshine. And now wind.

Home with ink to be starting the Christmas letters and DD birthday cake. Annie I found the cake flour you mentioned Everyone keep your fingers crossed!

Poor Santa!

Well everyone made it home safe and sound. DH did some snow blowing and its still snowing. I would like to be out doing errands right now, but that aint happening. I am so ready to move to Florida!

So, guess who was in the paper again tonight....but in his PJs! CAM! The school had collected cans to raise money and 2 checks were given to foundations. So when the principal presented the check to the people they had a few kids go for the photo op and he got picked. This was right after they had their dress rehersal on Monday and as "Who" Cam was wearing PJs. At least hes not the only one.

Feeling like a cold is catching up to me. Taking lots of vitamin C. I don't wanna be sick at Christmastime.

OK welp - gonna go see if there are any presents still to wrap. Gotta get DD birthday gifts done. Cake is so far so good. I think it's going to be edible.

Football picks got sent back to me some sort of website error? I resent those - Beano let me know if there is some sort of problem. I only have a couple more chances to catch the guy in first place!!

Poor Santa!

Katie - do you listen to Bob Ryan (Channel 4) and / or Doug Hill's (Channel 7) weather forecast or somethun?! (They are OUR local weathermen who can't seem to get it right either - so you may as well listen to our guys! ) I am so sorry! I would be absolutely miserable by now! Our daycare center place where I leave DS to catch the bus in the mornings JUST changed their inclement weather policy - they used to be open as normal if school was only on a delay then they had a delayed opening if school was closed and then they only closed if the County Govt. had liberal leave. Well, now if school is closed they're closed! So what good are they?! I still gotta go to work - they suck! I am pissed at them. So I think we're going to have to start leaving DS home alone for the whole day when they're closed! I don't have a lot of choice, really. So I bought a couple of lunchable thingys to keep in the frig. for emergency lunches (he would never make anything else on his own). He comes in after school by himself now - but that's only for like 1 1/2 - 2 hours - I didn't want to start the all day alone thing for another year or two - but they've put me in a bad spot. So I am praying for a mild winter!!


Good luck with the cake Johnna! Dumb question tho...I thought Ryan already had her birthday a week or so ago? No?! Why am I confused as to why you're just now baking the cake? You lost me!!!!



Yes - where is Betsy? This is not like her to be so quiet! Hope she's OK and not or something!

And good luck with a mild winter, Annie. That does stink! Isnt that what they are there for??? But its good that Jared is ok staying alone. We suggested it once to Cam a few months back. I was out running and DH had to take Colt to CCD class (would have been 10 minutes) and Cam was all whinny about it. Hes not ready. Hopefully soon!

I am going to Betsy's house Sat. to spend the holidays with her and her family. What ever happened to "over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's condo we go"? My oldest daughter and her family will be arriving the following Sat. People are so scattered now days but we all met at my grandmother's house for all holidays. To me those were the good old days. I am showing my age, aren't I

OK, just takin' a load off for a few minutes before bed... Helpful wrapping hint - if you put a Wii game in a box with loose whole unshelled mixed nuts and an old tennis shoe your DS will NOT be able to guess what's inside! Once it's heavy & it rattles it throws 'em way off! (I love it!)

I remember meeting at Grandma's house too! Now I guess we meet up at Ryan's Grandma's house.

Oh confused friends...Ryans actual birthday is Christmas Eve. We had her birthday party last week so her friends at school could attend since we will be at the ranch for Christmas. We always do have a family party at which ever grandparents house we are at for Christmas but this year Ryan asked for a family only dinner. So we did that tonight. And she promptly asked for my best friends family to be invited over for cake.

Annie I like how you wrap! I have more to do before we leave on Saturday. DH company Christmas party is tomorrow night. That will be boring. Then pack on Saturday and off to the ranch. They only have dial up there so web surfing will be kept to a minimum.

TRM - wonder why's me & CamColt were confused? Hummm.... A Christmas baby ya had there 'eh?! Thanks for the clarification!

BUSY again today...day off from work...dropped DS off then went to my little P.O. in the woods to see if I could track down that rooster spinner thingy I ordered for my Grandma. It shipped Mon. & I did Priority Shipping and so thought I would've received it by yesterday... Lo & Behold - they had received it in this morning on their first truck so I was able to snag it at the front desk!

Then I went to World Market to try to finish shopping for my MIL. She was my last one to finish up! She's a little shall we say eclectic (sounds better than absent minded or dipsy) so that's why I went there - they have such cool stuff. She drinks tea so I got her a little teapot thingy that has the tea cup under it so she can steep her tea + I got about 4 diff. kinds of loose teas, some English shortbread cookies (to go with the tea) and a really soft cosy throw - so (in theory) she can curl up with her throw, a cup of tea, cookies and a book (not provided by us). I don't know. Corny huh? She's a tough one....but I'm calling her done now!

Then I just spent about 45 min. making some phone calls that I needed to make & getting bills ready to mail. NOW, I am moving on to the wrapping, laundry & packing.....

I slept in about 40 minutes this morning! Got DH up about 30 min. early so he could go get some doughnuts to take to work... Then I got DS up & stayed on my regular schedule. Our kids go thru today - then they're out just thru New Years day - they go back Jan. 2!!

Right now I am so-o envious of Betsy's new washing machine! I keep trying to cram every piece of dirty clothes we have into ours & it's groaning & spitting at me!:lmao:
