SE: shock is slowly wearing off. Hosing off the property ('cuz sweeping kicks up the toxic ash) and s l o w l y getting the pool less black. Timmt goes back to school on Monday (thankyouthankyouthankyou). So, yeah, we're gettin' there. Thanks for askin'. And oh yeah - it's sprinkling! Not much but anything to help the firefighters!!!!

Football tip: I'd pick the Chargers. They might be a little more "charged" up than normal. They're playing for a whole lot of people. But if everyone picks them to win, do you get less points? I can't figure this pool out!!!

CamColt - Silent Saturday was thought up by the soccer board of morons. No yelling. Supposed to encourage kids to just play the game. Which is what I thought they were doing every Saturday. I think it's "abuse free saturday" for the refs. I don't like it.

Can I use that "Soccer board of morons" expression? Love it! We had some changes in the last year, and the expression fits the cause perfectly.

Cheri, Im glad to hear things are starting to move along. What a mess that must be. But at least everyone and everything is safe.

I worked a little on putting out more Halloween stuff (finished the windows and filled the tiki torch with fuel & a new wick & put out the shrunken heads) and I went to check some other stuff that needed batteries & one of my fav. props wouldn't work even with new batteries! The bloody severed arm still works but my pet rat is dead!! He was a good one too. Furry, not rubber, wireless remote control, red glowing eyes...he was awesome to chase the little kids down the walk with! I am going to miss him a lot this year! Had DH tear him apart - no luck - his guts are all over the place - can't figure out what happened to him. I went out looking for a new one - Target was WIPED OUT...none to be found! But I DID find a couple of good deals at Michaels - 50% off on their 6' animated mummy bride and 50% off on this lamp post thing... I will just have to shop early for a new rat for next year! RIP Willard...

DH's birthday is next Sun. so I ran out to the cigar store & got him some more smokes as part of his present. He doesn't keep his humidor up very good tho so I hope he doesn't ruin these...guess I had a pretty lazy day considering I was UP before the crack of dawn!

DH carved our pumkin today too - Mickey theme here too (found it on one of the DisSignBoards).

Starting to feel like fall...have our first frost warning! It's weird 'cuz we've usually had a frost by now - it's really delayed the trees turning too! It will make our Hayride and Halloween feel like fall for sure....time to drag out the long johns!

Very cool ophie. Gotta go against the Hurricanes. They seem to be a thorn in our (Bruin's) side over and over.

LOL, Johnna. I know! Back in 95, my first year in our own home I got red, green and white lights for our tree and I loved those one. I haven't been able to find them since. And of course over the years some have blown out and I could use a new string or 2. I look every year but no luck. Well I found 1 package of them so I grabbed them up.

I didnt get such gret pics at the float since they were still getting everything ready when I had to leave to get my car out of there (they close off the road), but between getting ready and the parade, heres what I got.

Each grade made a scarecrow and each kid made a pumpkin.

The principal and 5th graders, and a couple little girls who wouldnt get out of the picture, LOL!
