OK RJ - I needed to stop for a couple of things at the store this evening (I hadn't been in almost 2 weeks since I was away last weekend) but so I stopped at this store that's on my way home which has a very large international aisle....I found GOYA Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce!!

Step 1 is complete. Let me ask you this. Honestly. Was it GOOD? Like raving all over it good? It says 4 servings on the recipe...if I wanted to make like a crockpot full of the stuff to take to a party would people like it do you think and if I double it would that make enough? I mean, it LOOKS good in the pic....
Reason I ask....We have this friend who I imagine to be very much like Beano. He's our friend with the pool. He likes to do everything in a big way...he always "has a guy". And he also has an unusual job like Beano (he owns a port-a-john business which I must say is a very lucrative career)

Anyway, every year on the first Sat. nite in Nov. he has a HUGE football party. They have a very big yard - so he lines off his side yard in 5 yd increments, puts up lights (he used to power them with a generator but last year he had elec. installed for them) and he has this football / chili party with who knows how many hundred people and everybody brings a crockpot of chili and most everybody (but me) plays football. He even owns his own set of bleachers that he puts out for it and of course, he brings out his & hers port-a-johns!

Two years ago he hired a helicopter & a photographer to come & hover over & shoot pictures! He's as they say "a real show"! But you have to love the guy! He's a stitch!
OK, but so I was just thinking I wonder how this "Chipotle-Pumpkin Black Bean Soup" would go over at Vince's party? I mean, I make a REALLY GOOD batch of regular chili that always gets cleaned up, so I don't want to come home with uneaten soup... I guess I should try it out on us first?! What do you think? Is it too much like a soupy kind of soup to be taken to a chili party?
