"Cinderella goes to the ball and takes it to the net"

Johnna: still hot and humid here....and when I got home AC doesn't seem to be cooling like it should :confused3

Johnna: ps...you do way too much, it makes all the rest of us Moms look bad. Could ya slow it down a bit! ;)

Phyllis says "AMEN" or I shall send Gremlins to create great havock in your overly clean and organized household.:sad2:
:lmao: Id like to see any man do all that! You go girl! :rotfl2:

Ronnie Jo, hope you guys are surviving that heat ok.

I hadn't realized the site was going to change. I just checked it out. Very Nice pictures, Annie. Gotta love the Captain in the corner, ROFL!

Geez Cheri, you did ask for more pictures didnt you? ACK! Ive been so crazed here I forgot. I will try getting them to you soon. So sorry! :sad2:

So, do you think we can convince Imelda to book the second cruise too? it worked with Annie. ;) Imelda, our anniversary is going to be when we sail too (7/22) so we can have lots of reasons to celebrate between us all. :cool1:
<mua haha>

Funny...my DH actually suggesting booking the 2nd cruise last night after I explained what y'all were doing. mmmmmm....something to ponder.

Tinkryansmom: I totally understand the multi-tasking with the nursing baby. I nursed our youngest til she was <gasp> 3 and 1/2 years old. I kept telling myself "the world average for nursing children is 5 years old" everytime she would come over to me and speak in full sentences and proceed to undo buttons with amazing dexterity. But, oh, it was so much easier than actually cooking.

Anal Annie: The pinot is good...and there's this really nice pink one (not real good with technical terms here) by Gallo Brothers. I think it's Cafe Zinfandel??? Anyway, that's the one we drink when we play Pictionary. (Note: my kids don't play Pictionary with us, just adults.) Acutally, they look longingly through the glass doors, and we shoo them away to play video games or swim in the pool or play in the highway...whatever it takes. Just kidding.

CamColt: Let the celebrating begin. I think I will celebrate tonight, long weekend and its been a rough first week of school here.
Hmmm .... Pictionary, Peep-style... :rolleyes1
:rotfl2:

Hey ya'll!!! Check it out!! I got my first Tag!!!! And it's pink!

I nursed our youngest til she was <gasp> 3 and 1/2 years old.
I nursed Kate for 15 months and all my friends thought I was a weirdo...LOL..I would have gone longer, but she decided she was done and sippy cups were way more fun!:rotfl:

um...tmi?? sorry:scared1:

(ps..Cheatu St Michelle glass #2...YUM!!!)

Congrats Annie!

Bets- easy on the Chateau or you'll be sending "slkjl;fj" text messages again. Not that they aren't entertaining :rotfl2:

Now am I crazy?: just put baby boy on an Amtrak train by himself to Downtown LA. Union Station. Ya gotta remember that the most "life" said child has ever seen is the lone homeless person in downtown SD. Now I'm throwing him to g-d knows what - actually I KNOW what. That's what has me flipped out. My dad is supposed to pick him up - but this is a man who taught me to swim by throwing me in the deep end of a pool when I was 3 and watched until I made it to the side, so I'm kinda nervous.* ...just threw away my chances for Overprotective Mother of the Year Award, I did... Bets, pass the Chateau!!!

BTW- I survived, thanks for asking.

So just BTW, how does one say thank you to the Tag Fairy for giving you a tag anyway?! Would something like this work?:

THANK YOU OH GREAT TAG FAIRY!:goodvibes

OK, so not doin' much of anything this weekend. Work closed at 2:00 for the long weekend & I have been sitting on the patio drinking beer with the neighbors & eating pizza since about oh-h-h 3:30 or so!:lmao: (I drink much slower with beer. It's not really my thing - but it works out OK for a Friday after work sort of drink.)

Cheri - how old is baby boy? Is this just a weekend trip?

No nursing for me...went with the good old fashioned Similac route!;)

ROFL! Good one Annie! :thumbsup2 Seems likethe TF is lurking around all over.

Im another formula Mom...my kids would have starved otherwise.

Good luck, Cheri. Let us know how he makes out.

Well, it's official now - I just finished booking flights to FL for 4 n over MLK weekend!:yay: Still not sure if we picked the right thing to do (drinking with the neighbor on the patio this evening she still doesn't know what she's planning for the ski trip IF she's planning one). But so OH WELL NOW!

I just found this site called Kayak.com to search for flights - it runs slow on my computer at home 'cuz it loads a LOT of info. all at once - but it's great for comparison shopping - I recommend it for seeing ALL of your options all at once + it can do alt. airports (good here when we have 3 to choose from) and it gives you the links to the lowest fares where ever they might be (direct at the airline, Expedia, CheapTickets etc.). ANYWAY, all of a sudden today, JetBlue started popping in as a choice (it rarely shows up anywhere for me when I'm looking). They just very recently added a couple of non-stops to Orlando from Washington Dulles (only appear to have 2 / day right now - all the rest go thru JFK in NY). ANYWAY, I've heard a lot of people really, really like them - they were only $60 more TOTAL for all 3 of us so I decided to give them a try! Leather seats & more leg room - so why not?! The TED flights were only showing as being 30% on time (kinda like me getting to work on time 'eh)! Now we'll start doing the good weather dance...we sure lucked out this past trip so don't know if we can hit it that lucky again!

We will decide on where we're staying for sure later. Have a cash ressie at VWL - but may go for something cheaper... Katie - you've stayed at POP, right? How does it compare?! How about POR?

:scared1:

That's actually a really promising idea.
but Beanie-boy will have to leave video camera OFF as I'm thinkin' some of the drawings might be more than even our videos could handle. of course the way I draw it could be a giraffe, a taxi, the Empire State Building or a part of male anatomy :rotfl2:

i have moved on to CLEAN SLATE..as the nam,e suggessts, it wipes your slate clean after a bottle

I had it in Nahsvile and it wasMUy bueanio
as I was saying about your tpiying abillyty.... feeling ok today?

ok, so he's 14. Maybe not a baby. But he's MY baby (yeah, I've got a spare, but he's my FIRST and I've kinda gotten fond of him - the little t*rdky). He'll be back after my dad takes him on a tour around Stanford and Berkley and they watch UCLA trounce Stanford. Some kind of male bonding/keep your grades up so you can go to college/but I'm not paying for it kind of dealio

I would know how the weekend was doing if.... "hi Mom. It's Timmy. did you remember to pack my cell phone charger?" Cr&p.

ROFL! Good one Annie! :thumbsup2 Seems likethe TF is lurking around all over.

Enfamil rocks!

What does he mean did you remember to pack it? Isn't it his charger, his bag and his trip? Punk kid...

 And while the rest of you start your Christmas shopping, I just found a dress at Lord & Taylor marked down to $30 for Palo next summer! :woohoo: (Orig. $160) I already have a pr. of shoes I can wear so I'm all set except for which night shall we go?! Do any of you know if we can find out what our dining rotation is when we pay our balance off so we can decide which night?! Pirate night is always the 3rd night on the 4 n cruises, right? And do you usually repeat restaurants on nights 2 & 3 or are the repeats on nights 1 & 4?! DS was with me when I bought the dress - he was like "Let me get this straight. You're buying a dress to wear NEXT summer?" He just doesn't get the value of the almighty dollar yet!

OK, so I also went ahead & made sort of a back-up reservation at Port Orleans French Qtr. for MLK weekend just 'cuz it's about $300 less than the ressie at VWL. I would much rather stay at VWL tho...but I thought since we're going right after the holidays I'm expecting $ to be in short supply so I should have a back-up plan!:sad2: I just can't help myself!!

Do any of you know when the AP discount rates might come out for January?! I read somewhere where the MLK weekend might be a black-out date for AP & room codes but the CM that I spoke to on the phone said that wasn't necessarily true. Do you just have to keep calling to ask or is there a trick to finding out when they're released?!

Woohoo, Annie!

I love Kayak! Last year I was able to book my Jet Blue flights on there before they were booking them on Jet Blue.com. Figure that one out!

For a value resort, I really liked Pop Century. I have stayed at POR, and while I like it, I found it to be very spread out and LONG walks everywhere. Plus with multiple bus stops, sometimes sharing with POFQ, that got annoying. It was nice, but if you are looking for a cheap trip, Id go with a value. Ive stayed at Pop, ASSP and ASMO and really have no complaints about any of them. They certianly arent deluxe hotels and don't have all the amenties, but for what they are, they are great.

:bored: Ok, I'm B-O-R-E-D!

So, what's everyone doin' this long weekend??

someone please come entertain me :rotfl2:

What started out as a boring day became fun. Cam went to the BC football game with my BIL so we took Colt and my niece mini golfing and out for hotdogs this afteroon. In a few minutes I have to get ready because DH & I have a night out (my mom is taking Colt). We are going to dinner at my favorite place(because they have the best drink here ;) ).

Yeah, this Kayak site was the bomb! I loved not having to go from Orbitz to Expedia to CheapTickets - they were all right there PLUS the airlines were right there too - I ended up booking directly at JetBlue 'cuz I could see all of their options individually rather than having them already paired up departure & return. But so do u like JetBlue?

ANYWAY, I picked POFQ to book only 'cuz I could do the virtual tour online & there didn't seem to be one for POR. The CM told me the PO resorts didn't involve nearly as much walking as Coronado Springs, Caribbean Beach OR OKW so I thought they must be smaller?! No?! I can't imagine the walk being worse than what we just had at OKW!! I also asked the CM about all of these groups that are supposed to be there during this time, staying at the values & she said "Oh you'll know they're there but most of them will be at ASSP." Hummm. OK. I'd rather NOT know they're there! :rotfl: That's why we decided to pick a mod. as a back-up rather than a value. But VWL is on my short list of places I want to try - and since this is absolutely the cheapest season it would probably be smartest to go ahead & stay there NOW while we have the chance to get it for under $270 / n!! I'm hoping to stay at AKL or AKV next July for a couple of nights...that's my plan anyway!

RJ - if I'd had a couple of Captains already I could try to entertain you...but I'm afraid it's just a tad early for any dancing on top of the tables just yet! Sorry...

how's that RJ?
