:rolleyes1 Ah... the talk of chilly weather. I have 108 to look forward to today, and that on top of the thunder/lightening storm that's happening. :rotfl2:

:confused3 I thought I lived in the central valley of CA....not FL. :lmao:

Thunder and lightning!? COOL. I've got nothing so exciting. Air conditioner has been kicking on already so I guess there is that.

Waiting for Beano to PM me website for football so I can join. If'n I will I am going on a cruise! The winnings should cover it right?

CamColt: I am just on the July 20 cruise. We are gonna stay in the area for another week after that to visit Universal and stuff. I'm pretty psyched about having a birthday on the cruise. We usually do WDW for the girls' birthdays (Spring Break and Xmas), so it's a nice change to focus on ME!!! Plus, our anniversary is only a few weeks before the cruise, so I plan to remain in a constant state of celebration. (Where's the intoxicated smiley when you need one?)

Anal Annie: I love sangria in a box, does that count? Sadly, I'm partial to $5 bottles of wine (other than Rosa Regale at a whopping $18). I have a little Captain in me, as well. Actually, I do prefer the Captain over other brands. I like mine with orange-pineapple juice, banana schnapps (or banana flavored anything), and a splash of grenadine. I like to count that as 2 of my daily 5 servings of fruits and vegies!

We live in the deep, deep South of Texas, 30 miles from the MX border and 30 miles from the Gulf. We're Disney Freaks to the nth degree, soccer/basketball/softball parents to 2 girls and it seems that we live out of our mini-van. (Hence, my addiction to the Captain.)

I LOVE that stuff!!!! I guess I'm not alone. We first had it in Epcot. Then, I overdid it last October at the F&WF. (We call it the F&WF "incident".) But, that involved cognac, beer, and some other assorted wines.

I'm more careful now, I promise.

Ya don't have to "be careful" around us...that's for sure!:lmao:

Just keep in mind that there is always a video camera rolling!

yeah...there are those people on the Carnival ship that really enjoyed the view...er...drinking going on a particular cruise veranda:rotfl2:

Who amongst us has gone over Pres. Day weekend before? How are the lines? Are they as bad as they are in July or August? If we want to go to the pool will we freeze our butts off?! How about Splash Mountain - that sounds like it could be a cold one?!:confused3

I have been during MLK and Presidents Week. Pres week is packed like a summer vacation week. It is more bearable because of the weather though. Water parks are tough to do because weather could be in the 50's or 60's but it could also be in the 80's all in the same week. MLK weekend is packed with locals but the weeks surrounding are not bad at all. Being from Michigan, I always enjoyed a winter break to the WDW. So I think you should go for it.:woohoo:

TZM - I knew I could count on you for some previous experience! The 2 best things about MLK is that
1) It's cheaper than Pres. weekend - both air & hotel and
2) We would only have to take 1 day off (could go down Fri nite & come back Tues). There's no school on Tues so DS is safe from truancy!:rotfl2:

My neighbor is being so fickle about planning this ski trip for that weekend - and if they go DS really wants to go! IF they plan to go up to WISP resort (in Western Maryland) the house alone would probably run around $1,000 per family for 4 n. since all of the cheaper ones are gone already - then you have lift tickets & rentals (and more lessons for me) on top - over a holiday - probably close to another grand!! I can't plan WDW in Feb. on top of that! Even at POP for 4 n. with the hotel tax & flights we'd be looking at another $1,400 or $1,500. My little admin. job just ain't all that!!:rotfl:

DS would be really disappointed if he couldn't go on the BIG ski trip...he absolutely LOVED it last winter. I think if he had a choice, he'd choose that over WDW (he's all about the speed)! But we've asked him if he wants to go skiing with JUST US for the weekend & he was like no. He'd be OK to go for a day trip - but he's not interested in a whole weekend ALONE WITH HIS PARENTS!:lmao:

I went ahead & put a DVC cash res. hold on VWL over MLK and at SSR over Pres. just in case. There wasn't a whole lot of availability so I figured I'd better snag what was there. (We might be willing to spend a little more if there's no big ski weekend!) But still, this is supposed to be a quickie / cheap trip just to use the AP's one more time! I'm really watching the airfares like a hawk tho. There was a fantastic fare on Jet Blue the other day for Pres. weekend that I missed...that's pissing me off!! TED appears to be by far the cheapest - have never used them...there must be something wrong with them that they're $125 less than everyone else!! I wish you could do holds on airfare like other ressies so that you're not stuck with it!

I read on Mousesavers.com that there's several large groups at the value resorts in both Jan & Feb (baton twirlers & cheerleaders - uggg! Screaming, giggling little girls!)

OK, next subject - Imelda! The Captain! :thumbsup2 And if it's a box that's got a spigot it counts!:lmao: Never heard of the Rose stuff - will have to take ya'lls word on that one... If I drink wine from a bottle (which I only do when I have someone over to share it with) I usually drink Ecco Domani's Pinot Grigio or I have sometimes done "Yellow Tail" Shiraz or "Penfold's Koonunga Hill" Shiraz Cabernet. But the corkscrew spends most of it's time in the drawer, alone, with the drink stirrers and extra coasters...even tho we have a full 3' wine rack.:sad2: Who wants to come visit me?! I'll dust off the bottles for ya!!:lmao:

Annie - I saw a commercial for a Capt. Morgan pose competition. I think you should go take on the local competition!!pirate:

RJ - how you holding up down there? (insert melting smilie here) It got windy here today but it stayed humid.

Sitting here mentally tackling the whole soccer practice idea. My fingers are typing but my brain is working on that one. Multi-tasking.:lmao: The coach just called and asked me to run practice for him as he is behind schedule today and simply cannot make it. Seems he is going out of town this weekend and is behind on his errands and practice just is not going to happen for him. Um....

Men. My husband is out of town but I managed to get the laundry done for our trip this weekend, make the Costco run, get one child to and from school, get her to get her homework done, play VMK, talk to DIS friends, keep a lunch date, AND nurse a baby every 2 1/2 hours. Guess I will now add run soccer practice. At least I can now justify not cooking dinner tonight! :woohoo:

If I had the roster here I would cancel. But I do not. So I guess I gotta go and at least make them do something. But it is really, really hot and humid out there. And baby....she just does not need to be out there in this heat. And if I am running practice...not that the moms don't mind holding and watching her...but...I am thinking our team is learning all about field position on throw ins!

Oh arg. Neil just called from San Diego and says he might not be making it home tonight.:headache: Calgon take me away!! (does that ever work for anyone? 'cause I am still right here in front of my computer...)

Well - guess I gotta mosey.

In need of more pix for the web site. "All About Annie" is due to leave the net in two weeks. and the next victim shall be ...:rolleyes1

MLK weekend would work just fine. You will have a great time!

There is no problem flying TED. I actually liked them. Their planes were new like AirTran. They are just as late and screwed up as everyone else but cheaper. Unless you are flying first/business class. There isn't much difference in one airlines incompetence over another.

Ophie and I were at WDW for Pres week last year and watched the National Championships for College Dance Teams. It was awesome. We spent most of our day at MGM watching that instead of doing other regular Disney stuff. It is not something you see everyday and the teams were really good.

:goodvibes

Made it back from VB game in Chowchilla.....our freshman team won!!!:woohoo: First games of the season:

1st game: won 25-22
2nd game: won 25-20

Kimmy made a save at the net

"Cinderella goes to the ball and takes it to the net"

Johnna: still hot and humid here....and when I got home AC doesn't seem to be cooling like it should :confused3

Johnna: ps...you do way too much, it makes all the rest of us Moms look bad. Could ya slow it down a bit! ;)

:lmao: Id like to see any man do all that! You go girl! :rotfl2:

Ronnie Jo, hope you guys are surviving that heat ok.

I hadn't realized the site was going to change. I just checked it out. Very Nice pictures, Annie. Gotta love the Captain in the corner, ROFL!

Geez Cheri, you did ask for more pictures didnt you? ACK! Ive been so crazed here I forgot. I will try getting them to you soon. So sorry! :sad2:

So, do you think we can convince Imelda to book the second cruise too? it worked with Annie. ;) Imelda, our anniversary is going to be when we sail too (7/22) so we can have lots of reasons to celebrate between us all. :cool1:

Funny...my DH actually suggesting booking the 2nd cruise last night after I explained what y'all were doing. mmmmmm....something to ponder.

Tinkryansmom: I totally understand the multi-tasking with the nursing baby. I nursed our youngest til she was <gasp> 3 and 1/2 years old. I kept telling myself "the world average for nursing children is 5 years old" everytime she would come over to me and speak in full sentences and proceed to undo buttons with amazing dexterity. But, oh, it was so much easier than actually cooking.

Anal Annie: The pinot is good...and there's this really nice pink one (not real good with technical terms here) by Gallo Brothers. I think it's Cafe Zinfandel??? Anyway, that's the one we drink when we play Pictionary. (Note: my kids don't play Pictionary with us, just adults.) Acutally, they look longingly through the glass doors, and we shoo them away to play video games or swim in the pool or play in the highway...whatever it takes. Just kidding.

CamColt: Let the celebrating begin. I think I will celebrate tonight, long weekend and its been a rough first week of school here.

Johnna..kate is a VMK addict...but I don't know her name..she hasn't figured out how to talk to people (thank god) but she enjoys it

YAY! She will have to look for us - we can be friends!!

Johnna - AceEllaBelle - yes this character is pink
Neil - CapAceKing - yes Neil plays too - will mostly be found in pirates game
Ryan - BlueAcePinkTink - is blue - not on very much

If you find out her name let me know - I will keep an eye out for her.

Getting ready to run, run, run - getting stuff done to head out of town (Creightons did I mention we are going to the cabin - you should stop by);)
probably won't be on 'til Tuesday - so everyone have a great weekend!!

:yay: Hi RJ

:yay: Hi CamColt

:yay: Hi Imelda - I am not actually taking the cruise with these peeps but am a holdout from the October 2005 cruise we all took together and Bets mentioned above. I still watch the DVD also.

Really working on husband to book the cruise though so keep your fingers crossed me may just be there.

We could celebrate with you - DH birthday is 7/18 and DD will turn 1 on 7/16:woohoo:
