We are heading to Nashville on Friday morning.. My aunt (my dad's sister-in-law) died today (she had been ill with Alzheimers for awhile). My cousins came down when my dad died, so Rick says we need to make the trip for them. Mom will come with us..it is about 13 hours from here...

will be nice to go to Tennessee, but not such a great reason

Much love to you and your family

Have a safe trip! Just remember your Peanut M&M's and Diet Coke. That is my road trip snack.

Please be careful you guys. We'll be thinking about you. :grouphug:

Betsy - so sorry to hear of your loss. Have a safe trip. And yes, take TZM's advice. Get road trip food. Dr. Pepper (fountain drink only) and nacho cheese corn nuts:thumbsup2

Oh I am sorry to hear the sad news Betsy. :grouphug: Take care!

Ronnie Jo, every picture I see of you, you look younger and younger. Seriously! :thumbsup2

she looks GA-GOUS!!!!

I love your hair color too...i likes the redhead..we wants the redhead!!

Thanks about my aunt..I have made our hotel reservations so I just need to find out the exact times of everything..so much to do..

AND....

the AC is broken here at work..it is 92 in my office!!! AGH!! I am sweating in places I didn't know I had sweat glands!!!!

it is suppose to be 101-103 all weekend in Nashville....um...WOW..I don't think it ever gets that hot here!

RJ must have a secret elixir or something...are those your first glasses ever?! If yes, then congrats on choosing a great looking frame! I've had the suckers since 5th grade. Wore contacts for about 20 years then went back to glasses (eyes always dry, tired of the cleaning process etc.) Anyway, I'm in bifocal mode now...:sad2: I need new ones but am waiting until fall to see how much $ we have left in our flex fund acct. A pair of bi-focals, no lines, non-glare, featherweights can run a pretty penny...plus I buy RX sunglasses too...debating about adding the bifocal to those next time...don't usually need that - only if I'm laying out & trying to read a book...which is rare...

Betsy - hope you have a safe trip... It's been hot here too...the new word we have is "dumidity" which is a combo of humidity and dew point!! The "dumidity" temp here today was like 112 or something unbreathable...

One week to go - I am officially in vacation mode now! :dance3: Need to start ironing!!:rotfl: Got my mini size pinot grigio wine bottles (Glen Ellen, screw tops) and refilled my Capt. Morgan "travel size" (pint) bottle this evening! I used to pack my booze in my carry-on...now with the new TSA rules I am going to wrap ea. bottle in bubble wrap & put them in a large ziplock bag and then put THAT inside a plastic storage box and seal it shut with packing tape!! Whew! Such a process!! I'd better go get started!!:rotfl2:

Annie you crack me up. Isn't it easier to just buy the alcohol once you get there? Unless that GlenEllen screw cap wine is just the best and then I completely understand. Cheri...she said screw cap....
;)

Been pretty quiet here for a few days....what is everyone up to? Cheri is in Oregon sucking up to the in-laws.:lmao: RJ is looking good in Kingsburg...Anyone else?

Beano...where is my Beano Football League Welcome Kit? I been real patient. I have. No really. I have. Can I have it now?

My brother has a Yahoo Fantasy Football League. Free of course. Anybody interested? I can PM the league password if you want to join up.

Well, if we were renting a car it would be easier...but since we're using "Magic Express" (the bus) and will be stuck on property the whole time then I think it's a problem. I'm not sure what the little store on the property might sell besides beer....if it sells any alcohol besides beer - I don't know if it does... I suppose I could call the concierge desk & ask them to go make me a list of the booze they sell on property........not sure they'd be THAT helpful tho!:lmao: Might have to bribe 'em with one of my GlenEllen screw top bottles of wine! :rotfl2: Any of you other peeps got any personal experience with what's available to buy on site?!

:lmao: OMG! I have tears running down my face. That just about summed up every day in my house. Do I really sound that bad?

RJ - that is very funny. Might have to get that CD and play it over and over when Ryan is sleeping.:thumbsup2

Annie, I know in the past I have seen in the gift shops, like at the Poly they have a good variety of boozes. I'm not sure exactly what though. Oh and at the food court at Pop Century this last trip I noticed they had Kaluah mudslide mix. I thought that was different for them to sell. I didn't try it, but went to the bar instead. ;)

Well, since I already have my "travel size" bottles that will fit into the big ziplock bags I'll stick with this plan for now I guess. I'll make a mental note to check out the store at OKW whenever we go to buy DH's beer so I'll know for next time what else they may sell... I can drink beer (Corona Light or Rolling Rock) but prefer wine or the hard stuff!:lmao: (surprise!)

Cute video RJ - "because I said so" and "I'm the Mom" both sound pretty familiar to me for some reason....;)
