what a co-ink-a-dink...I LIVE in Florida!!!

Yes.. so do we. But it's not a co-ink-e-dink... 'cause Beano only comes to Fla to visit us. And by "us" I mean "TZM" or "TZM + ophie's snackcatchers."

He doesn't come to see ophie?? just her snack catchers??

Rick is on duty today (read: agency already had him booked for a bar-b-q) so kate and I are chillin at home...perhaps a pool dip is in order today!

Good morning! Happy Memorial Day! :grouphug: Watching Maroon 5 on the Today Show...catchy way to start the day...

Yesterday was over in a hurry...only one more day off :sad1: I am behind on my to do list so I don't think the truck will be getting waxed today...I was afraid that might be an overly ambitious idea...

Question: How many Smirnoff Ice's and Appletini's does it take to equal (3) large 16 oz Diet Coke and Capt. Morgans (doubles)?! I conducted my own scientific experimentation process last nite so I have a pret-t-t-y go-o-o-d idea this morning what the correct answer would be, although, I think stopped probably about 1 or 2 Appletini's shy of the final answer!:rotfl:

Well Ophie and I just got back from POTC AWE and I must say that you definitely dont want to drink anything before or during. 3 hours is a long movie. You cant leave early either because there is more movie after the credits. The movie had fantastic special effects! Loved them. The movie is tough to follow though. Lots of plot twists and turns. I think that kids will have a tough time figuring out what is going on. Disney also went a little overboard with sexual stuff a couple of times. It was totally not necessary. There will be a few parents having to explain things to the little ones on the way home if they remember those parts. They are at the beginning so they have a long time to forget. Keith Richards should have been in the movie more than he is. He is a great pirate character. He would have fit in any of the previous movies. He was born to be a pirate.

I would like to see it again to catch all of the little things that I am sure that I missed the first time. Although because of the time thing it might be best left for its next viewing at home on the couch. Snack time and potty breaks would help to enjoy it.

This is just my two cents. Please enlighten us as to what you all think when you see it.

DS elected to see Shrek this weekend over Pirates so we'll probably wait a couple more weeks before going - let the initial rush die down...but I'd read that it was a little hard to follow but still very good...and 3 hours for a kid is VERY long!! DS probably won't sit thru all of that at one time.

Well, I need another 3 day weekend! I worked outside all afternoon cleaning out the pond a bit & planting more annuals & stuff and am still not done. I'd HOPED to make this my sun day but it was overcast until about 4:00 - since I worked in a tank I got a little color on my back & shoulders but nuthin' to brag about really.:sad2: I was disappointed in that.

BTW, I believe it takes 2 Smirnoff Ice and 6 Appletini's to equal 3 of my Capt. Morgan specials.:rotfl:

Oh my. Y'all have been busy. Only Annie managed to post pictures!:thumbsup2 I will post mine tomorrow. Laundry is most important right now. See Cheri's post about underwear.

Cheri - get better or I will come and find you next weekend and make you take a nap.

Beano - some of those weekend pictures might be pretty darned interesting.

SueEllen - so sorry to hear about your car. I agree they saw your out of state plates and figured you must have some luggage and travel what nots in there. What a hassle.

Betsy - congrats on the poundage lost.

Anne - Hi! Just how hard are you trying to convince IH Rick to go on that cruise!?:)

Ok - drying buzzer is buzzing time to switch the laundry!:woohoo: And then a nice hot shower. Then its off to bed.

I think tomorrow....I tell my boss to pound sand. :cheer2:

Boy did this weekend fly! Didn't do much of anything. Got my hair straightened so that took a good chunk of the day Saturday, changed my winter clothes to summer in my closest (of course now we have cold weather coming this weekend), and cleaned out my car. About as excited as wathcing the grass grow. ;) Love that picture! :lmao: Then we ended the weekend with Cam's baseball game last night. And here we are gettting ready for school again. How did that happen? :headache:

Morning!

Had a productive day yesterday...laid by the pool then watched movies...tough, tough day!

I am getting geared up for vacation..getting my hair done Wednesday, Kate's honor roll breakfast Thursday, nails Friday and toes with ophie next Tuesday...what a whirlwind!!

One of my bosses (the father) is in the Med on a 2 week cruise (tough, huh) so it will be quiet till the 12th!! WOOHOO!!

HI!
just taking a quick break from my spastic coughing to check in.

Did you know that you can't take a full bottle of shampoo on an airplane but you can take a screwdriver as long as it's shorter than 7 inches????:scared1: Honest to gosh!!! Read it on the TSA web site this morning. My Paul Mitchell is soooo dangerous, but my Phillips head?? Heck, bring two!- and NO comments on the "head" part. I know how you people think!

Talked briefly to Anna this morning. She had a fabulous time - despite 20 foot waves and 4 trips to the infirmary with her 3 year old (tummy, ear and tonsils). Said all of the DIS'ers were great. Guess there are a few staying on for the first 11-day cruise. Can you imagine? 25 days on the Magic? Not with kids, maybe :rotfl2: Now THAT's a vacation! She did say that the waves were hitting the windows on deck 3 <insert puky smilie here>what does that mean for those on deck 2? , deck 10 was constantly closed and the pools kept emptying themselves. Still, she said she'd do it again in a heartbeat.

 Gettin' close to page 2 again folks!!!! Guess nobody else is goin' with us next yr. huh?! :woohoo:

Betsy - I am very impressed with your weight loss ticker! :cheer2:

DS has his first ever spring concert today - the one for the school s/b starting ANY minute now... Parents get an encore performance at 6:30...he had to wear dark slacks & a white shirt to school today :scared1: What are the odds he'll be able to wear the same shirt again for the 6:30 performance?!?! :rotfl:

Actually, I was thinkin' more about the 7" than the head.....:lmao:

Glad Anna had fun - but yeah - WHAT ABOUT DECKS 1 & 2?! WOW!! Hope to hear more details!! I wonder if those type of seas are typical for a TA crossing or was it unusual?! I'd love to do a 10 or 11 day cruise one day....not sure I'd really want to be away from home for any longer than that tho....would miss my kitties too much!!

Annie..is your son is middle school?? We always had to give concerts for school and parents too

I saw that someone is spending 35 days on the magic...it is in their ticker, but I don't what thread it was on

No - he's in 4th grade which is the first yr. instrumental music is offered here. No percussion until 5th grade & no saxaphone until middle school. He wanted to play trumpet but the music teacher said his teeth weren't ready (he hasn't lost enough yet & the ones he has are crooked & he has too many big gaps - she said it would all make the trumpet more difficult). Anyway, so we started with the clarinet which she recommended to get started. He resisted but I think he likes it OK now.

I think God had people like me in mind when he invented Target (read: cheap clothes)!! When I bought DS's $6.99 white polo shirt for today I bought 2 knowing he had to wear it to school AND again for the evening concert...the Buzz & Woody cat fur we could get off with the lint brush...but the chocolate milk on the shoulder - uhhh NO!!:rotfl: I just knew we'd need the spare!! :rotfl2:

Hey Annie,

My son is in the fourth grade and he did fine at the POTC movie the other night, theres a lot of action so I think he could handle it no prob.

Cheri: was thinking about the last time before we cruised you set up that great site call Cast of Characters any chance of that happening again..
