1) there will be a tequila bar going into Mexico at Epcot (inside the Aztec pyramid?)

2) Disney is undergoing contract negotiations with all 9 of the outsourced rerstaurants in Epcot and wants a bigger piece of their $$$'s. May be why the Italian restaurant is closing?

3) The Japanese restaurant will be turning into more of a sushi place (ick!)

4) Concourse Steakhouse will be closing and Chef Mickey's could be getting much smaller

5) The other place in the Contemporary is closing (no, no CA Grill)

These changes are, I guess, going to start at the end of this year and next year. Sue Ellen?? Know anything about this? I assume this is all true - but you know what you get when you "assume"

Anna called me twice today: "We're at the Mickey pool playing. Call you later." "We're under way. See you in 16 days." WAAAAAA! I wanna go!

OK, kids are home. Back to being Mommy.

Okay, I do know that all of the Epcot eateries are being redone (and I'll try to find my information on it) I did see the information on the tequila bar and some more information on the inside of the Mexico pavilion. Italy will be getting a new Italian restaurant in September, but in 2008 they will close and refurbish it to a new design. Hmmmm...there were some others as well. I'll let you know when I find the details (and will likely be sending it in my next update email that I send out to clients so look for that in the next 48 hours.)

I have heard that the Concourse Steakhouse will likely be closing (how sad) but the new buzz I'm hearing is that Chef Mickey's will not be expanding as was previously reported, so I'm not sure what they are doing. I know that the changes have already begun at the Contemporary with moving the game room area and such.

I too had a phone call from the Magic today. One of my friends is on the ship and she was just about to head over to the sail away party when she called. I still have 6 more months before I'm on the ship sailing again...sigh.

We finished Dance Recital tonight (thank goodness--this was was CRAZY BUSY and I'm so glad it's over!!! Tara looked beautiful, and did great twirling (she loves baton.)

Four more days and I'll be at WDW.

Sue Ellen, if you have pictures of Tara, post some. I'm sure you are glad it's over. There was a big sigh of relief at my sister's house today, LOL! The recital was nice. At the end the director made a special announcement for my niece with the sprained foot. It was sweet.

I don't remember much from the 70's as I was a youngin back then. But I can tell you my 80s prom was quite interesting with all the big hair.

Well, I suppose at this hour of the day it's almost Happy Belated Mother's Day... Anyway, hope you all had good ones... DH is out downtown for the evening with the step-bro. & the rest of his entourage so DS & I had a date together for dinner at Baja Fresh (That's our usual place whenever he does the selecting!)

No ceramic dodads here! My boys got me a couple of UnderArmour Heat Gear shirts (romantic 'eh - not sure where they got that idea) and also the new Gwen Stefani CD. Then I did manage to slip over to my fav. nursery this afternoon...found the most gorgeous Crimson Mandevillas...I had only ever seen them in pink before - but these were so striking...so I got 3 of them in 1 gal. containers ($$). I figured what the heck - it was Mother's Day, why not splurge?! Slowly but surely I will get all of my gardening caught up. I only have 4 trees left to weed, edge & mulch. I had some Mums last fall in pots that I mistakenly thought would DIE over the winter since they weren't in the ground. Well. They survived and are coming out again. Now I don't know where to plant them but I need the pots for these Mandevillas!!

OK, sorry, I'm rambling again (tho it could be the batch of Mojitos I made talking). Bye.............................................

I got gift cards for iTunes . Gots to fill up my new video iPod doncha know. Mom gave me some casual pants she thought would be good for Florida. They're white - and see thru - so, I'm thinking they'll be goin' back. No sense in scaring everyone. Kind of a strange gift for a mom to give a daughter...

Hello all!

Nice pictures RJ - I hope they had fun.

The prom....ah yes...I went with...Neil my DH. We were not dating at the time, in fact, his girlfriend who went to Madera High not Sierra was not happy about it. Go figure.

And I did get something like ceramic for Mothers Day. Ryans class made beverage coasters which they stamped with flowers and colored.

This year our anniversary fell on Mothers Day and I got......Nothing. I married perhaps the most non-romantic man on the planet.

Sounds like some nice gifts there, everyone. The coaster could come in handy. I got an essay type thing about Mom, from Cam and a picture frame with a drawn picture in it from Colt. But I made out really well from my nieces. They always give me scratch tickets and a card for Mothers Day. Would you believe I hit for $100.00 on one! I couldnt believe it.

Happy Anniversary, TRMom! Its nice to know my DH has some competition in that department.
