We hare having hi hats put in the kitchen and lights under the kitchen cabinets. We also are having 4 "eyeball" lights in the living room to wash the wall where the mantle is and the couch!!

Very excited!!

the dumb couple who built the house but a flourscant strip in the kitchen...something you would have in the garage...for $400 they could have had the builder do it...but NOOOO they upgraded the washer and dryer instead...dorks!!

Hey Bets - whatsa hi hat?? Is it like a top hat? And eyeball lights sound scary! Like they will be watching you while you move around in the house.

In CA the builders have to use a certain amount of fluorescent light inside the house - so you see it in the kitchens or bathrooms. Maybe FL has that too? But an upgraded W/D - yowza. You snob.

no..we have no rules about lights...they were just cheap! Why would you upgrade a washer and dryer (trust me..it is still not fancy..doesn't even buzz when dryer is done) from the builder when you can get WAY more washer/dryer for your money when you buy it at Brandsmart or Sears!!

they were foolish..beautiful maple cabinets, but didn't upgrade to 42"...straight edge on the counter tops instead of rounded

Neil called me after his management meeting today. Someone hit our new Volvo in the parking lot. And did not leave a note. Apparently left a dent in the passenger side front above the wheel well. But no note.

PEOPLE SUCK.

Why can't we have nice things?

I told him to put the license plates on it that came Saturday. The car is no longer new. And I don't want to drive it anymore. And he could take it back to the dealership and tell them we don't want it.

Do you think I overreacted.?

Sorry about your bad luck - my DH's car is no longer new but it's his baby (Audi A4 Cabriolet) and he hit a deer one nite back in Jan. - $4K damages - just got it back from 2 weeks in the shop, not even home with it for a week & he clipped his mirror off on the garage door rail.... Personally, I almost always get hit with a rock on my windshield within a week of buying a new vehicle...there's like this new car initiation or something... You're just not allowed to keep one in PERFECT condition....

ANYWAY, I'm on my lunch break & I just paid the deposit for the 3 n cruise! So looks like we'll be doing the b2b thing with ya'll......

I saw some you talking about wine...is boxed wine taboo here? I was thinking about bringing a 3 liter in my suitcase next summer......just so the Captain (Morgan) doesn't get lonely....

I read an article in some magazine that box wine is no longer a joke..because it is vacuum sealed, it has a longer life..they even named a Target wine as one of the favorites!!

Oh Bets - you FL people are so clever. We just call those recessed lights.

And rounded corners...picky, picky. 5 cousins on one side of my family would not have matching scars above our eye if'n people always thought of rounded corners. It creates more of a danger level when running the "lap" from the kitchen through the living room down the hall and back into the kitchen. Or at least it did when we were kids.

Boxed wine Yes, do not tell Cheri. I agree....askeerd she would be.

Annie - I laughed at your post. At least DH did the damage-it's always worse when you do it yourself and have to fess up to it. And yes, when we lived in PA the car vs. deer issue did $3500 damage to our car once. And the windshield. In a two week period of time last summer we caught rocks with both our personal cars and one rental car. We should not drive together I think.
