Don't do it!

Betsy had it right! You get more bang for your buck by renting points and using the cash for paying for your cruise. Check out the rent trade board and see what kind of cash you could get for the amount of points that it takes to cruise. It is definitely a better way to go about it. You will keep more of your points that way. JMHO!

I've looked at those rent / trade boards...read the rules etc. - too much to deal with right now! I'm still a DVC virgin! We just bought in Dec. and I'm not ready to try renting them out just yet...I understand WHY - I'm just chicken liver...or chicken whatever you'd like to call it!! Maybe before we try to cruise again (probably in 2012 on one of the new ships)! We'll have the hang of it by then! We have a Dec. UY & I've already banked our remaining '06 points into '07 - now if they'd just publish the darn point charts!! Based on the '07 charts we should have a few to spare to cover whatever they raise them - I hope anyway!

I saw that yesterday - closed June - Sept. - made the mistake of telling DS - he's very unhappy about that as we will be there in Aug. They must be doing a lot of work on it for it to be closed that long!

I'm wondering if they are going to do the holiday overlay here like they do in DL. That was my initial thought, then I was listening to the Round Table discussion and that option was thrown around there too.

We will miss it in July though.

Welcome to DVC. I have rented points from others and rented to others. It is very easy since the creation of PayPal. Amazing thing! I can help you do it if you like. I have a December UY too. It totally rocks due to holiday points needed for XMAS ressies if you want them. You can use your next UY's points. Let me know if you have any ?'s.

Well...not Napa wine country. I guess I may have to be more specific. We go to an invitation only event every year in El Dorado County its called "Passport Weekend". It is a blast. And surprisingly, you do find some good wines. Mostly reds.

I hope the Oph and Tarzanman like red wine. Though the muscats are nice too. If'n you like dessert wines. Which I do. In the heat of CA summer on the back patio with strawberries!

This year I am DD of course. But if my "scouting team" finds a really good wine I do reserve the right to sample before it gets added to the "buy" pile. That way I don't waste my time on the not so good wines! You see I plan it that way.

I am so smart it is scary.

Neil called me after his management meeting today. Someone hit our new Volvo in the parking lot. And did not leave a note. Apparently left a dent in the passenger side front above the wheel well. But no note.

PEOPLE SUCK.

Why can't we have nice things?

I told him to put the license plates on it that came Saturday. The car is no longer new. And I don't want to drive it anymore. And he could take it back to the dealership and tell them we don't want it.

Do you think I overreacted.?
