Morning!

Went over to our neighbors last nite for a little surprise birtday party. Left DS home alone for the evening since we were just down the street - but so I came home early (11:15) to get him in bed - not such a wild & crazy time for a change...DH stayed over there awhile longer tho. It got a bit chilly - they even lit their outdoor fire pit!

I was talking to some guy there last nite who said he'd heard the water's been pretty low recently on the Youghiogheny River (where we're going rafting next weekend) & that they'd even suspended the rafting on the lower Yough recently. So I was just checking out the website for the whitewater tour co. we're using. The guy had me worried about the river conditions - but they have pictures from the Upper, Middle & Lower Yough from just last week - so I think we'll be OK. But it did look low - looks like the Middle Yough (the one we're doing - just Class I & II rapids) could be a slow float if they don't get some rain upstream in northern PA this week! Now I'll be watching the weather channel all week for the weather forecast in Uniontown, PA!! We want rain for the river BEFORE we go but not for the weekend for our next camping experience! Think that's too much to ask?!

RJ - working on schedule but may be in Fresno this weekend. Neil is having to go to Reno Fri - Sun and I thought I might spend the weekend at the ranch and not stay here alone.

Mother in Law arrived today and will be work on the scheduling but I will definitely keep you posted!

Cleaned & cleaned & cleaned some more today...still not done but made a dent I guess. I had been pretty negligent on the cleaning thing lately so I was overdue. Anyway, then I went for my pedicure appt. @ 5:00. Home by 6:00. Dropped a tarter sauce out of the pantry onto my big toe by 6:10! A-r-r-g-g-h-h!

I am feeling pretty good thanks. Just online paying neglected bills and feeling like going and catching a few zzzzz's while baby is downstairs with Daddy and Grandma. ssshhhhh.

Beano finished reading his copy of HP 7....I'm a little behind. I have to read book 6 still. Going on Wednesday to get new glasses I'm guessing that might make it easier for me to read

I read on the treadmill and that made the time fly...so that was good

Hi there...not much going on today...just the same 'ole same 'ole - the usual obsessions...weather forecasts...packing issues...what to drink (beer or the Captain). I'm mostly concerned aboaut the "facilities" - or lack of them on this trip 'cuz there's no bathhouse...just an outhouse somewhere - and I'm afraid that too much Corona will require multiple visits to the outhouse or the backside of the closest tree - at 1:00 AM....and at 3:30 AM....and at 6:00 AM.... (Oh - but e-e-e-w-w-w-w - what if some other "scout" uses the same tree at 12:45 AM?! Can you hear the tent zipper every 2 hours now? ZZZZIIIPPPPP!! I guess I should aim for the outhouse 'eh? I actually bought a can of apple cinnamon air freshner to pack in the camping supplies 'cuz I have very distinct memories of my tent camping trips with my family as a child! AND I got a fly swat....I remember that being a breeding ground for flies and bees...) Ewwweeewwweeewww.

As of today, the forecast is almost chilly (78-80) and like a 40% chance of showers....DH is not gonna be diggin' the wet tent thing.... Oh Lordy....

Bump off of page 2!!!!!!!!

OK, so I made DS go with me this evening to the Disney Store to shop for his pen pal - I figured we could look around for a bargain or two first & then go for the gift card if we struck out. Well, let me tell you did we find the bargains! A lot of the POC stuff was marked down PLUS they had 50% off of the markdown prices! Found a REALLY cute denimn purse (like a small saddlebag style) with a little skull on it and this ADORABLE pink ball cap with Jack Sparrow on the front & the bill - he was drawn in this purple glittery stuff and then this really cute little pink & white striped tank top with Jack on it too. So we went with a POC theme...maybe we went a little overboard but the total was under $16 WITH tax! I added up the regular price on everything & it would've been $49! I just couldn't pass up such good deals - and it was fun to shop for a girl for a change...so thanks for the suggestion 'cuz it ended up working out quite well that we went there!!!!! I figure we can stuff the tank & hat into the purse & just wrap that & put it in a big jiffy mailer & off she goes sometime this week!

I envy you not the outhouse issue. I much prefer bathrooms like my friend Cheri. We are spoiled by our cabin I must say.

RJ - did get the nap Then the babe was up for 3 1/2 hours in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. Little angel. Hoping we do better tonight. Makes me feel way too old to have tackled a baby at 29

Baby's first check up today - passed with flying colors. Aced her first test...her daddy is so proud.

OK - well just wanted to say hi. Gotta get in and prepare for battle tonight. You never know if you're gonna sleep or not. I do miss sleeping through the night already.
