Hello DIS Dad's:

We just got back from Disney and we had a great time. We drove from Morristown, TN to WDW and back, and the cost of fuel was about 120 dollars more than the trip we did last year. Fortunately we had received our stimulus check before our trip, so it was not that big of a factor.

I guess the only bad thing is that we are back and I have to go to work. Although it gives me reason to start planning for the next trip to WDW.

There you go - that's awesome!! Glad you had a great time.

Work is just a way to make all of our great times with Disney happen.

Oftentimes its the planning, or at least knowing you've got another trip in the works - makes being back at home ok. We've got various dates mapped out for 2009, and just last night I was talking with my folks about joining us for some dates in 2010! :lmao:

Hello from Knox Vegas :)

Anyway, to chime in on the gas thing. It used to be my in-laws used to drive separately from us so they could arrive later or stay longer or whatever. Now we'll probably all pile into the minivan and go together. 10 or so hours of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and my Mother In-law :faint:

I imagine this :surfweb: being you planning your next trip. I hope we can get a trip report from ya soon.

Oh yeah.... Congratulations to the Red Wings Fans and to my Pens on a great season. The better team won. I knew the wings were good but I didn't realize how well coached they were until I watched this series.

I'm still looking for the zerbert smilie...DVCSmurf....all I gotta say is

GO PENS!!
ohh, zettie shots and scoressss. he beat'm like a rented mule!! again, i made it to the second intermission before the snoring started!! i cant help it, i have to get up at 3:30 to go to work. good series!!

Glad to see the gas prices aren't holding anyone back :thumbsup2 I guess you could always try to get to WDW this way - :moped: :rotfl2:

BTW... this is my 100th post! HAHA! I don't think I've ever stuck with a forum long enough to post this many messages before......

You know how you drive down to Fla and you tend to see some of the same cars so you know they're going to the same place? Your scooter thing reminded me of that. I've seen any number of cars going down there on my trips and it amazes me sometimes to see some of the cars that make that long trip. Other times I see these giant dualies from like Michigan and have to wonder how much a trip to WDW would cost in one of those. And that was back when gas was only three bucks a gallon :scared1:

ChillCoupons! I just saw this post on another thread and immediately thought of you!
Disney doesn't pay well. My brother drives the monorail and, in my opinion, he gets paid peanuts. My parents still pay his rent b/c there's no way he could afford to do it on his own.

I'll bet they get paid peanuts to do that since there's a line outside Disney's door of people willing to do it.

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

That was a fantastic story about the little girl on the shoulders!!! LOL I have noticed the memory starting to go a bit more myself her lately. The other day... I could not even recall who the President was...some might look at that as a blessing ha ha. I felt like a fool when I asked my wife who the President of the United States was and she just gave me this "you're an idiot look".:confused3

Yep it would be the "idiot look" that finally brought Bush back to memory! :rotfl2:

man, im bring them all out. well, i feel asleep!!! had to watch the highlights. nice penn state banner there on the bottom. should i jinks the red wings again? at least the cup will get presented in pitts one way or the other. (that should give you another win):thumbsup2

Looks like your jinks didn't work. To be honest I fell asleep between the
2nd and 3rd. It's been a very busy week and I am on a plane out of town tomorrow night. Going back to bean town for a wedding, so I needed some sleep.
I can't believe you dropped the "GO YANKEES" on me. My DS11 heard that and said "what is wrong with that man" that made me laugh:rotfl2:
Getting back to hockey, I was really rooting for the Pens. I have a lot of respect for the steps the organization has taken to not only keep the team in Pitt, but build a winning team. I can only hope they sign some of the 16 unrestricted free agents they have.
But now it's Baseball season and Basketball play-offs so GO CELTS & GO SOX!!
