Hi everybody. This forum is such a great place to hang, so many good things happening, Fed being home, Chill having a baby. I get a chance to read all the new posts but don't get a chance to write as much as I'd like to.
I'd like to give a tiny bit of advice if I may. There are a lot of dads here with little ones, some with very new little ones. Enjoy every second you can with your children. The time goes faster than you can imagine, they grow up too fast and before you realize, they are heading out on their own. My son will be heading out to college this coming August, It seems like only last year when he was born. My daughter no longer wants "daddy" to chaperone class trips any longer. Watching them grow is one of the best things you will ever experience, when they laugh:rotfl: , cry:sick: , give you big squishy hugs:hug: (you can never get too many hugs):cloud9: , when they embarrass you out in public with some of the things they say:confused: , it's all amazing. As they get older you sometimes feel as if they don't need you as much, although they do. You do the best you can guiding them, teaching them as they grow into young adults and when they head out you hope you did enough:scared: .
My Uncle once told me:
"You need a license to drive a car, a permit to work on your house, you even need a license to catch a fish, but any knucklehead can be a father. It takes someone special to be a DAD."
Enjoy all the time you can and remember, it doesn't take a lot of money or material things to be a good dad, just all your love and your time.

I like the T shirt idea.

Hi DADs I am writing this from the hospital. DW's water broke at 1:15 am and we are waiting for our daughter's arrival. Great hospital very modern and the nurses and doctors have been great!:thumbsup2

That's so AWESOME!!! Enjoy this day!!! :) :thumbsup2 :)

and I'll bet she gets brought home from the hospital in something purple! :lmao:

DADS - if you haven't seen Chill's old band-aid threads yet - you have got to check 'em out - they are hysterical. They start out similarly - but both are unique, to say the least! :rotfl: I've had fun bantering back and forth with chill over there, now you should join in the fun too.

Way to Go CHILL enjoy this wonderful day.

kphwus Very well said and very true. I'm still lucky that DD14 has interest that I have so we do most things together still. I do know that that day will come to an End but it's been the most wonderful ride in my life. Between Disney , Paintball and Her Soccer I'm safe for now at least a few more years.

Here's a couple shots of what happens if you keep feeding your son.

They start out little and cute

Then they grow a little bit

It'll be good when he heads off to school. I think it will be a break even situation, tuition on me, food on them.

5 CM dilated DW is napping comfortably. Thanks for all the prayers

Napping is good... she's getting close... you're so making me think back on those 3 different days/nights in the hospital that I experienced right now. And now I'm wishing those three great big/medium sized/little bundles were all right here so I could give 'em a hug.... :grouphug: man I love my kids. They are such a blessing... you'll definitely learn that first hand in a short while... but like our dad friends have said - they grow so fast!!

I'm praying for your DW, espeically, right now - keep us posted... :)
