John's vote total sure keeps going up fast! Just voted again today. Over 31,500 when I voted, but I've already forgotten the "exact count" - but that doesn't seem to matter, since it'll probably be 32,000 before the end of the day at this rate.

Thanks new and veteran Dad's! For you newbies, Lori and John are friends of mine...I've known Lori and her family for more than 20 years now and John since he's been married to Lori. Since being diagnosed with lung cancer, John has made lung cancer awareness his mission and has shown an incredible level of determination and fight. His battle is holding up extremely well and he continues to have a positive impact on everyone he knows and becomes involved with.

When they sent the email announcing that he was one of the finalists I did what I could to spread the word and the DISboards were one of the first postings! The Dad's/DVC'ers and everyone else vaulted John into the lead on day 1 (my wife was vote 14...by the end of the day he had over 3,500!) and hasn't stopped since.

You can read his story as part of the contest...I'm more than thrilled for the family and expect we'll see him on TV in San Diego in June!

Thanks for taking the time to give the details about John. I took a few extra minutes and viewed each of the videos for the finalists (I didn't want to be THAT biased ). I would still have voted for John based on the videos... he seems like just the kind of guy that would have the determination, skill, and personality to break 100.

BTW... John's at 31,607 votes! That's 20,473 more votes than the guy in second place If my math is correct, I believe the difference is more than the number of posts made by Verandah Man (20,218)!!

I had that before the the Steelers Graphics. If somebody paid me a million dollars right now to tell them how I got it I would loose the money. I looked at the properties of someone else's scrolling bar and began to play with the DIS Boards User CP Signature and figured it out. DaParkers is the DIS Dad's Club expert of the Signature Scrolling Bar.

Congratulations, Disney has waived their right of refusal on your resale contract!


You should be receiving your closing paperwork from the title company via email as soon as they receive the seller’s account information from DVC, complete the title search and create the final documents. (This sometimes can take up to 3 weeks, but less if DVC accounting is prompt) If you need to make arrangements to move any funds for the final payment now is a good time to take care of it, as the final payment must to be “certified” funds such as bank, cashiers check or wiring. The final “exact” figure will be included in those documents.
