I think my son would love that Pirate Ship slide. Am I right to assume that you can watch movies while you are in the pool at the BC? We plan on spending a lot of time in the water our next trip (whenever that will be :confused3 ) and I think that would be pretty cool.

The movies are next to the water (lakeside). So, no you can't see them from the pool.

It is really cool. They have a huge inflatable frame with a screen in the middle and viewable from both sides. It is set up next to the begining of the slide but not visable from the pool area. It is about 8-10 foot screen, like a mini movie screen.

The other night I thought about another qualification that makes me a Dis Dad. We were watching a show that we had recorded on the TiVO and I forwarded through the commercials but stopped and watched the WDW commercials. Even the ones that we have seen hundreds of times... Sad right? :sad2:

Not sad. It IS our "happy place". Been there and DO that. :confused3

Yesterday was the baby shower which was held in a private room at a local restaurant. I was instructed I had to attend. My brother, brother in-law, a friend and my nephew represented the men and there where about 36 women. When I walked in there where 5 tables set up and decorated with balloons. The first 4 tables had its a girl balloons with pink, yellow and green. My sister in-law pointed to the back table and said "We have special balloons just for you" on the mens table there was a big mylar Mickey!!!! I am 40 and this will be my first child and I already receive special Disney gifts from other adults. I feel right at home in the Disney Dads Club!!!

PICTURES!!!! Where are our pictures of this. I am 41 here and would love the same, although my DD is 8. Her and I do love our WDW together. ::yes::

I guess I should have "multi-quoted". Too late now.

I am not sure how to do it. This is a test.

It worked but the pictures were huge!!
Can anyone point me in the right direction for info on posting pictures on the boards?

I hope I will be a great Disney Dad. I guess I will find out soon.

I thought I was alone! I want in. I hit on at least three quarters of the criteria. I'm currently a member of the "ROFR support group" on the DVC section of DISboards. A couple of things that I feel qualify me; I had to look up the song from the Orlando Tourism commercial so I could go and buy the track (its' "Time Machine" by Click Five). At least 80% of my t-shirts have been bought at WDW or the Disney Store and I have a mickey antenna topper on my SUV. Every weekend we have Disney movie night, it works on a rotating basis between me, my wife, my son and daughter. I own a Mickey waffle iron and we have Mickey waffles every Sunday. Oh and every Sunday night from New Years until we head to WDW in April we play the game "Disney Scene It". I own the "Classic Disney" CD collection and we listen to it every night at dinner. Do I qualify?

:thanks: Kitchensinkguy, The Disney Cruise is worth every $$$$. Your family would absolutely LOVE IT! Trust me! As a family man I am convinced that Disney does cruises better than any other cruise line. :thumbsup2

DW and I went on a 7 day cruise in Hawai for grad from col. We LOVED it and were planning to do again in the next few years, but I'm working on making it a Dis cruise.:thumbsup2

I still can't beleive you ate that whole thing. I had to look at it again to make sure it won't kill me if I attempt to break your record. Oh yeah....Please say you got some clothes on under that sheet! :lmao:

I read your trip report, your account of multiple breakfasts and how much you seam to share my love for quality food (especially desert) leads me to believe we could hang together at Beaches And Cream.
FYI I wore shorts under toga. (This is a family park):rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Welcome Home!:jumping1:

Hey Dads, just needing to vent a bit, my wife had a miscarriage at 13 weeks today, so it was a very hard day for the both of us. I never knew something like this can affect you so much. Just seems like you form an emotional bond with someone you have not met yet.

It feels like your world gets turned upside down, but my wife and I both know that there is hope to try again and we will try to move forward as best we can.

We have a trip to plan to Disney World in December, so there is some joy there...

Both me and my wife send our regards and pray that everything will work out fine the next time the two of you decide to try again here is some pixie dust for luck pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Seems my email stopped notifying me of new posts here and I've been very busy. I'm caught up now and as soon as I get back from my short trip to the USA next week I'll post some new pictures. Unfortunately it's not for fun. I have to do a bone marrow match checkup for my leukemia.

Good Luck and God Bless You.
Have a safe trip. Where are you going?

I have been reading the posts for a while, I meet many of the criteria (1,2,12,17,18,25,27,29,30,32,39,40,48,49,54,61), and I now meet the most important criteria I am a new dad, I would like to get in "The Club". My wife and I just brought our newly adopted son home, and I already have a his first trip to WDW planned in just over 100 days. Our living room walls are covered by family photos (all from WDW) and framed posters and lithographs all purchased at WDW. This morning I sat and watched Lion King with my son, it was his first Disney Movie at home, we played Fantasia for him last week while we were still in Russia. He may very well learn English through Disney.:goodvibes

Well if this train's not already full, I might as well jump on, seeing as I met at least 31 criteria on the opening page (I quit counting at some point). I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but what the heck.

Let's see, I only went to WDW once as a child at age 7, but we must have been over 40 times now since the kids were born. Honeymooned at WDW. Then my wife forced me to go on a Disney cruise by booking the reservation without my knowledge, knowing I'd never consent to spend that kind of money. Well, long story short, we found out about DVC on the ship, bought into that and we're going on our 4th DCL cruise later this month.

So even though my wife dragged me in kicking and screaming against my will, we're all in now. I'm 41 with a 12 y/o daughter and a 10 y/o son, who both insist on going to Disney every vacation. When I ask if they're getting tired of it yet, they look at me like I've grown a second head.

BTW, has anyone counted the number of Dads onboard yet? At 25 pages and counting, I'm guessing quite a few. Thanks for setting this up Disney Fanatic!

It is good to know that I got in when it was still in double digits. I am basically a ground floor member considering there must be thousands if not hundreds of thousands of Disney Dads. I am a member of many clubs but I think this is by far my favorite!

I know what you mean. I feel like I have a bunch of friends that I have not even met yet. We should plan a DIS Dad' Meet and Greet (or something like that) and have some competitions like trying to beat the Kitchensinkguy's record at Beaches and Cream.
