. Notice I said MAY because you need to think about just how much of your vacation you want to sacrifice for your DD to experience Fantasmic right now when the shows have been severely cut back, especially if you plan to go back fairly soon. If you do decide F! is a must do, I would suggest being in line at least 90 minutes ahead if you are supposed to be there when heavy crowds are expected (I don't remember your travel dates).

What do you mean by cut back? :confused3 Please tell me that my favorite Disney show has not been edited and hacked. :scared1:

wow the way we are growing , Disney might want to think about a DADs Panel to go up against the Mom's Panel

Sounds like an assignment for a Prince (or one who considers himself not to be a prince). :lmao:

Sorry I haven't been around lately Disdads. We had to scrap plans for an April Disney Land and Sea cruise and I've been pouting like a 6 year old. :sad1:

tim

You are about to be blown away! I am excited for you! :cool1:

Forgetting the obvious hurdles (selling our house, finding work, etc.), does the thought of moving to Disney excite anyone?

I've even intrigued my wife and kids on the idea.

It may end up being something we never do and only talk about for years, but I must say it does sound great to me.

Anyone else ever thought about it (or done it, for that matter)?

We seriously considered it but began to wonder about where we would go to get away and vacation. Living there would kill the anticipation and build up of going. That is part of the fun to us.

The show itself hasn't been altered... just the frequency of the show. They've cut back on the number of showing each month (I've heard they've done this because of the American Idol Experience).

we tried the "wing it" plan one time. that was it for us. we ended up eating burgers because we couldnt get in to any rest. that was june of 03, we always made our din res, i remember running around space ship earth to go into world key house (1980s) to make resis. now i call exac. 90 days and same way w/ dvc resi. i call the first day i can. again, dw thinks im nuts but when we walk up to the desk at 5pm, we can sit down to eat w/in 15 min or so, and shes hot, tired and hungry, im not so nuts anymore!:rolleyes1 i ask dw and dd were are we eating next trip,(that way its fresh in everyones mind) i write it down and thats were we go the next year. of course, we have the "its a givin" places we eat. as far as ready to go, im packed, our van has the snacks, luggage (what we can) in it already. i had the oil changed last week, im going to wash it this weekend and top off the gas. yes, we have an 06 crysler t&c that has been to wdw 4 times and it has 12,000 miles on it. to give you an idea, its about 2400 miles round trip for us each time. my wife calls it the "disneyworld only van, were not allowed to drive it any other time.":lmao:

12k on an '06?!?! Do you cover it with soft blankets and read to it every night too? :rotfl:

I couldn't do the "wing it" thing. I'm a little too anal for that. Give me my scheduled meal reservations and the rest of the trip I can be flexible on. Then again I'm 60 pounds over weight too! :rolleyes1

WDW History

I ran across this site when trying to find out some info on CSR. I figured you guys might have some useful information to post to the site :thumbsup2

emma dad, how is the secret plaining going?

This is harder than I thought it would be. I'm trying to make it work so it's a relaxing vacation... but at the same time make sure I get as much in as I can. ;) And 8 days to to it in. once I get my itinerary more firmed up, I'll share it with you guys :thumbsup2 I'm also debating whether or not to get to a Fantasmic show this year. Not sure if DD would be OK sitting through it... plus I hear the crowds are crazy big since they limited showings.

Allright here's the deal. The family is headed back to WDW the week after Thanksgiving. 3rd year in a row. Yippeee! My DW makes all of the plans ADR's, when and where we go. I mean everything. When we decided we were going again this year I requested 1 stipulation and that is I get to choose 1 restaurant for dinner. Doesn't sound like much but the DW had to think about it hard for a minute before agreeing. Now the pressure is on and I have to find a decent restaurant for the family. I was looking for something a little different than the norm but able to accomadate DD(6) DD(6) DD(4). Any suggestions would be appreciated?:confused3

Birdsboro!!! I live right up the road in West Reading.

Welcome to the Club. These are a great bunch of guys with a lot of knowledge about Disney.

Hey Emmas Dad...26 Days, we are getting close. I was reading up on CSR and they have a bar at the big swimming pool. That is a possible meeting location. I will be there every afternoon anyway with my oldest son while the baby is napping. I sometimes think we spend more time at the pool then in the parks.
