So as I started to type this we went up 3 pages so it looks like the race has begun. We'll see if this will be a sprint or a marathon. Its the weekend so the mods could just let us go to Monday. Maybe we can hit 500?

Well, the next trip to WDW is in 59 days so I may need to wait until then to pony up the Dole Whips but how about this for my bacon installment? This is my attempt at "Bacon Explosion" Given that it is two pounds of homemade Iowa pork sausage, filled with 1# of bacon crumbles and then wrapped with another pound of bacon woven into a bacon cloth (all covered with BBQ sauce and rub and then smoked) I hope this qualifies for the double bacon requirement.

BTW, the beer in this second picture is my "award winning" British Bitter homebrew.

Yeah, I'm a bit frightened. In the ten minutes it took me to write a response about who I am the thread grew by several pages. How the heck am I ever going to keep up!

I have no good photos of it but one of my brewing buddies makes a beer called "Kevin Bacon Porter" He actually infuses it with bacon. It doesn't QUITE taste like bacon but the newbies always detect there is SOMETHING in there that they just can't place.:

You may want to reintroduce yourself though, after this dies down.

Looks like the madness has started, but I need to make a serious post. As I posted earlier I had just started watching the IRL race on DVR. Having watched the events unfold in Las Vegas over the last couple of hours, I'm just sitting here frozen. I don't know if there are many open wheel racing fans around here, but the racing world lost Dan Wheldon in a very ugly crash. He was one of my favorites, a very good race driver who always seemed to have a positive attitude. Thoughts and prayers with Dan's family.
