On a related note, I saw this posted yesterday and thought if anyone would appreciate it, it would be you guys:

screen-shot-2011-10-13-at-6-40-50-pm.png

:lmao::lmao: I appreciate it.

Funny.

In about an hour I will be picking up the kid and her friend for Horror Nights. Never been so it should be interesting. I'll post pics if I get any. Plan on letting the girls walk ahead of me. I am sure two teenage girls will be a magnet for the chainsaw guy.

HEY Corn Fuzz have you seen THIS????

'I am really scared': Family lost in corn maze calls 911 for help
'We thought this would be fun. Instead it's a nightmare. I don't know what made us do this'

Thanks for the link. :lmao:

I heard "about" it on the Radio yesterday...but haven't actually heard the call or seen a report. That maze looked like it's pretty simple and about half the size of the one I work at.

I'll have to write that reporter up...he freely admited to cutting through the corn.

To the womens defense...some people are just afraid of the Dark...and it get pretty dark in the maze if the moon is not out...

However we've had close to a full moon the past week... and 6:32 PM she should have still had some day light left.

Good reason to keep the GPS handy!

Better yet a GPS with a map of the maze in it. GPS don't help...you need to use CPS.

That is just... wow... :eek:
::yes::

This happened about 3 miles from my office. Unbelievable! :lmao:

This actually explains allot. :rolleyes1

:lmao: I had to look this up:lmao: after reading the story and finding out they could hear cars and see street lights from where they were and still could not find thier way out:confused3:lmao: Turned out they were 25ft form the exit:scared1:

Oh there were probably people (Corn Cops) in there...her husband just wouldn't stop and ask for directions. :lmao:

I don't know about you, but I think I would be able to walk in a straight line and get the heck out of there. :confused3
Or how about this...Just pick a direction...say left...and keep it...every time you have a choice...go left...even if you go into a "dead end"...come out and take a left...you will get out.

You know... I've been in the middle of several cornfields over the course of my life... during daylight hours and after dark. Let me share a secret. You can push corn plants to the side and walk between them. If you go in a straight line, you'll find your way out. :sad2: This is just a ridiculous story. :headache:

Cornfuzz, you need to go out in the middle of the maze this weekend and start yelling "HELLO, K-9" :lmao:

I like to scream...RUN!!! BEAR!!!! :lmao:

And another thing about corn - it's planted in straight lines. Pretty easy to walk out of
::yes::

Well, kind of. For corn mazes they usually plant the field twice (once in a north/south direction, once in an east/west direction), but still... :rolleyes1
::yes::
You, my friend, are the corn authority around here!!! :worship: :worship:

Anyways, those people were from Massachusetts.... enough said! :lmao::lmao:

Could be worse...could have been from Connecticutt... :lmao:

This is great!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Thanks for the link. :lmao:
I'd thought you'd like it. :thumbsup2

I'll have to write that reporter up...he freely admited to cutting through the corn.
I forgot we have the corn maze police here... (no Fed) :rotfl2:

However we've had close to a full moon the past week... and 6:32 PM she should have still had some day light left.
It does get dark here about that time. ::yes::

Oh there were probably people (Corn Cops) in there...her husband just wouldn't stop and ask for directions. :lmao:
Touche! :lmao::lmao:

Could be worse...could have been from Connecticutt... :lmao:

If I wanted to take this kind of abuse I'd stay at home rather than come to work and log on to the boards. :mad:
Sorry about that... how those Red Sox doing these days? Throw anyone else under the bus in the last 12 hours? :rotfl::rotfl:

Good day gentlemen, hope things are going well or better for eveyone. Had another of those weeks where I couldn't keep up with the board.:lmao: I've battled the flu this week, and survived a quarterly meeting with the district and regional managers (I'm the only non-management staffer who has to attend, thanks to being the H&S rep)

Welcome to any new members, and prayers to any that needs it.

I did read most of the bourbon ideas, and am leaning to that last bottle of Maker's Mark 46. The Booker's is priced a bit out of my league. Twokids can attest to the price of alcohol in Ontario is way too high sometimes:scared1:
Waiting to hear from Dad, today was FINALLY the first day of chemo, and it sounds to be an ongoing process too for a while. They've sound spots on the lungs, BUT he said they've been there for years, (possible scarring from the past, he used to smoke ages ago, and god knows what he's inhaled from 30 years on the fire dept), nd they hope that the chemo and meds will curtail/fight the liver issues, but will not operate further. This though will be interesting. I know everyone reacts different from the treatment, but he believes he is going to be good to go to the Majors game tonight:confused3 I am not putting bets down though. I'll see him later to hook up his bedroom tv for the winter, and get the tixs anywho.

Nice:thumbsup2 But I have one question.................was something chasing you?

WOW! I read that as "The Speculum":scared1:
RUN STEVE! YOU'RE IN THE WRONG GROUP!

Oh goodness...I had a godo laugh over that one! :rotfl2:

Steve, I read the book "The China Study", which had similar conclusions, just not that specific to one type of fish. I thought it was an easy read, and while it did include the significance values, it was not overly scientific. If you have a chance, I would like your opinion on it. I have eating that way now for 6 months+ (although not quite a 100%), have lost some weight, but my labs were terrific last month. For someone as obese as I am, I had no results even in the warning range.

It makes my doc mad because he tells me to lose weight and I ask him for the clinical justification. Of course, my phone email dinged during prostate exam, so we have a good relationship.

I have to do this for at least 6 weeks and see what happens...uuugh! One of my co worker docs is trying to get me to look at something called Paleo...he has been doing that with great results. He had to have stentes put in about 6 months ago..just a few years older than me!:scared1:

Uh, oh... first a heart cath, now this. I'd stop seeing him since he keeps telling you things you don't want to hear.:lmao:

BLASPHEMY!!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

:

I am starting to think like you!:thumbsup2

They're gonna love it!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Hey Steve, how's the adoption topic going with Ethan?

He has not mentioned it anymore so it is like waiting for the shoe to drop until the next round of questions.:rolleyes1

Wow no chicken or Pork too! Thats's harsh. I thought I could encourage you by posting a recipe for Salmon Bacon, but alas google has let me down. A search for "salmon bacon recipes" primarily returns recipes which include wrapping Salmon in Bacon not turning Salmon into Bacon.

.

I think salmon wrapped in bacon sounds pretty good!:lmao:

:scared1:

Steve, you can get him to back off by giving him simple facts. In the 18th century, the Choctaw Indians largely subsisted on vegetarian diets. Every single one of them died. In fact, the death rate among vegetarians is 100%.

]

Now that is good information to use on the next visit to doc...filing that away in my memory!:thumbsup2

I've got a finger for you... :rolleyes1

So angry. And here I thought you'd be getting all geared up for the Andrew Luck era to start next year... :confused3

Hey, just in case you haven't been paying attention, the QB position isn't the problem. Curtis Painter has been playing well. He got me a W in my money fantasy league last week. :thumbsup2

Now if he could just make the defense not suck. I'm not even asking for a good defense, just one that doesn't suck. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

You guys are Hot today! :rotfl2:

It's my day off, DW decided to work from home. So, She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed is sitting next to me and making a "business" call, I'm reading this here thread and well, guess who got asked to leave the room?

I'm about to book a Disney Christmas holiday land/sea package for a client. Six adults (parents and four adult children) and a teenager. Grand total for the package is just over $30,000!! :scared1:

Congratulations thats a huge booking. Please let that family know that my family would like to be adopted.

I'm pretty sure my MEI travel agent would love to switch places w/you. She's booking our extravagant Marathon trip at a grand total of just over $700.

As well as he has been playing, not sure you want to be stuck with Painter as your QB of the future... And don't talk to me about crappy defenses! We need Brady to put up 400 yds/game in order to eek out a W! :rotfl:

Um, yeah, Aaron, not sure I'm cool with you telling everyone the details and cost of my next vaca... Just saying... ;)

Hey Dads, we just made reservations for Akershus for Christmas Eve, it's a surprise for the girls, but I'm bursting and need to tell someone.....and it's you, yeah, you...

Starting to tweak our plans for our first Christmas as Orlando Residents....we were hoping for CRT for breakfast Xmas day to re-create our first visit as a family, but it was booked, so we decided to give Akershus a shot...

In the meantime, hitting HS this weekend then hoping over to Epcot for Dinner......

Awesome, Oscar! You're going to have some very jealous Dis Dads...

The doc has had me to join an educational group at the hospital called "The Spectrum" It is a Dean Ornish based thing. Now, for those of you not familiar with this man...he does not believe in the consumption of red meat!:scared1: I feel my bacon levels depleting as we speak!!!:eek:

I can't even wish this on my nemesis! I hear what Norm is saying too about the diet, but for me, the only thing that works is a high-protein, low carb diet (ala South Beach or Atkins). It's just so beverly hard to stick to it!

The SOA dinner was awesome. I liked it even more than HDDR. They are 2 different types of shows, but the food was way better at SOA (pineapple glaze pork ribs), mango-poppy seed dressing on salad, and pineapple bread. The show and girls were beautiful. The fire dance took it to a whole new level. We were there over 2 hours, I had 5 Bud drafts, and a boat ride back to BLT to watch Hallo-Wishes. A great way to end the vacation.

That's a one and done show for us. The food is good, but if you're not drunk, it's really hard to sit through a second time... pirate:

Nice commission, Aaron! :cool1:

I've been thinking about the DDC Convention and I have some questions for the DVC DISDads among us.

Would you be using your points for yourselves? Would you be willing to open your home at a reduce fee, or free to defray the cost to other DISDads who may otherwise not be able to go?

Really like your idea on sharing a DVC room. My contribution will be dependent on if I have any points left over after hopefully booking Aluani for next summer. We could pool resources to get a GV that serves as the meet hub and a place for solo dads to stay. Of course Barry would have to sleep out on the balcony (sorry Barry couldn't resist).

This has to happen. It would be a great time. We need a point person and since David started the discussion, I nominate him.

DVC points would be an excellent idea! Unfortunately, we keep using ours up so we don't have any left from year to year (and are constantly borrowing ahead). Maybe we can rent them? And again, off season, there may be some pretty good deals out there.

Good to hear from ya...

I can confirm the prices of alcohol here are riiiidiculous. It's all government controlled and regulated, and you can only buy it at 1 store. That's why a bi-annual trip to Buffalo is in order. Something I will pay $60 for here, would be $22 there.

Yeah, and as many are surprised to hear, no employee discount. At least it pays well:lmao: There are times we are cheaper then the states though, I've seen it, mostly some imported wines and beers, never hard liquor.

Congrats Aaron.

Man, that would work out two 3-4 vacations for us. Lotto Max, why does thou forsake me??
