I've been thinking about the DDC Convention and I have some questions for the DVC DISDads among us.

Would you be using your points for yourselves? Would you be willing to open your home at a reduce fee, or free to defray the cost to other DISDads who may otherwise not be able to go?

If this were to happen, and if I could get clearance from She Who Must Be Obeyed, and if all of the stars align correctly, then, yes, I'd be will to share my DVC accommodations. So put me down for a "maybe"

Really like your idea on sharing a DVC room. My contribution will be dependent on if I have any points left over after hopefully booking Aluani for next summer. We could pool resources to get a GV that serves as the meet hub and a place for solo dads to stay. Of course Barry would have to sleep out on the balcony (sorry Barry couldn't resist).

We do the same thing, and there are two approaches you can use.

1. Keep the same AppleID for the App Store, and just create new AppleIDs for iCloud, using different Email addresses.
2. If you have a MobileMe family account, theoretically you can use the MobileMe accounts as your AppleIDs. I say theoretically because many MobileMe accounts are sort of stuck in limbo right now. They're queued up for transition to iCloud, but iCloud is so swamped right now that it could be a while.

I'm currently stuck in situation #2 above, and am seriously considering just setting up new AppleIDs instead of waiting for the transition. Two devices cannot share the same iCloud account - it wouldn't work even if you wanted it to. Each iCloud account will only connect with "its" device.

I opted for option number 1. Had some issues at first with icloud mail this morning. Still having some issues this afternoon.

I can send and receive mail on icloud.com and my iOS device. But, after setting up my work pc with windows Live mail with iCloud's IMAP settings, I can receive mail fine, but I'm unable to send it!

Dave - make sure you have both devices setup on imessage in the "settings" area on each device.

There is a Message option under settings. Make sure both devices are "signed up under Messages and have iMessage turned on. Then make sure both of you are sending your messages to the registered email addresses.

He's hasn't been here in the last week or so, but we're hot and heavy into testing (Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 migration), so my time is still limited.

It is? Crap, I've missed most of the day now.

DW just has a set back in her pregnancy. As of yesterday, she was 16 weeks along. This afternoon she had an ultrasound, now she's only 14 weeks along. So basically, she get to be pregnant for an extra two weeks.

Her due date was April 12... last appointment, which was Monday, they pushed it back to April 21. This really is too similar.

Starting to tweak our plans for our first Christmas as Orlando Residents....we were hoping for CRT for breakfast Xmas day to re-create our first visit as a family, but it was booked, so we decided to give Akershus a shot...

In the meantime, hitting HS this weekend then hoping over to Epcot for Dinner......

Sadly, my DW is studying for her CPA, so on the weekends, I take the girls to one of the parks and later on she meets up with us when she's done studying, of course, both girls want to ride back home in her car and she usually gets the "you're the best mom ever" routine, while I get a much needed 45 minute silent drive......

I'm very familiar with this....my girls are momma's girls! I want Mommy do it! My wife gets perfectly frustrated when I'm offering to help out and the girls want nothing to do with it!

I know they love me, they tell me all the time. I just think it's because they are with Mom more than me since I work a lot.
