:lmao: I had to look this up:lmao: after reading the story and finding out they could hear cars and see street lights from where they were and still could not find thier way out:confused3:lmao: Turned out they were 25ft form the exit:scared1:

I don't know about you, but I think I would be able to walk in a straight line and get the heck out of there. :confused3

You would think that, I know it wouldn't be me:lmao: I hope they don't ever try to take a crack at camping or hiking:lmao:

Sadly, my DW is studying for her CPA, so on the weekends, I take the girls to one of the parks and later on she meets up with us when she's done studying, of course, both girls want to ride back home in her car and she usually gets the "you're the best mom ever" routine, while I get a much needed 45 minute silent drive......

When I was studying for the CPA I only had scotch to get me through it... No weekend nights at WDW... I feel so cheated...

This morning as a ran, I thought about how unusual this community is online. Sure we all really enjoy Disney, but Disney is a pretty magical place so that is not all that strange. What's really unusual is the way that this particular community reacts to each other. While the veil of anonymity which the internet gives people usually enables people to lash out and react in ways that they never would in real life, the guys on this board have managed to penetrate that veil. Our conversations are based in common ground and fundamentally proceed from a point of trying to understand the other person. I feel very blessed to be a part of this group of guys.

It this common ground that makes the idea of a DDC meetup so interesting. It would be great to continue to forge the relationships we are building here online IRL. One of the main points of common ground that we all have is "love for our family". Since we all seem to share that would it make sense to arrange this in such a way that we could bring our families with us on a trip like that. It seems like there would be an opportunity for the spouses and kids to get together on that trip. If we structured a day and a half of "Dad only events" we would have plenty of time for whole family meetups if people scheduled full family trips around the Dad meetup. It's just a thought though, feel free to respond as though I just said "I really like to bring last years refillable mug to refill as I'm using the pool at Poly when I'm staying at POP.

Nice:thumbsup2 But I have one question.................was something chasing you?

The doc has had me to join an educational group at the hospital called "The Spectrum" It is a Dean Ornish based thing. Now, for those of you not familiar with this man...he does not believe in the consumption of red meat!:scared1: I feel my bacon levels depleting as we speak!!!

WOW! I read that as "The Speculum":scared1:
RUN STEVE! YOU'RE IN THE WRONG GROUP!

Morning guys :thumbsup2

Scott, thanks for the insight on iMessage. I thought it was going to work more like text then email.

Since I was out for a couple of days did we get an update on Dave? I don't think I have seen anything since they left WDW.

Dave posted over on Ron's thread, and when I stalked him, he's been active on other threads too, just not HERE! :sad2:

Steve, I read the book "The China Study", which had similar conclusions, just not that specific to one type of fish. I thought it was an easy read, and while it did include the significance values, it was not overly scientific. If you have a chance, I would like your opinion on it. I have eating that way now for 6 months+ (although not quite a 100%), have lost some weight, but my labs were terrific last month. For someone as obese as I am, I had no results even in the warning range.

It makes my doc mad because he tells me to lose weight and I ask him for the clinical justification. Of course, my phone email dinged during prostate exam, so we have a good relationship.

Last 2011 Vacation ownage.

It is leaving day. No pics as I am on phone in lobby waiting for everyone to wake. Even though it was crazy park capacity Wed (which on top of touring groups and weather, a cruise arrived that day with 500+ check ins) , we had another great trip. We are heading to DTD for some more shopping, lunch at Fulton's, and then the long drive home.

The SOA dinner was awesome. I liked it even more than HDDR. They are 2 different types of shows, but the food was way better at SOA (pineapple glaze pork ribs), mango-poppy seed dressing on salad, and pineapple bread. The show and girls were beautiful. The fire dance took it to a whole new level. We were there over 2 hours, I had 5 Bud drafts, and a boat ride back to BLT to watch Hallo-Wishes. A great way to end the vacation.

Sounds like a blast... Good to hear that about Spirit of Aloha, most reviews I read said it was Blah, and to try HDDR instead.

Can't wait to see a bunch of pics when you get settled.

Uh, oh... first a heart cath, now this. I'd stop seeing him since he keeps telling you things you don't want to hear.:lmao:

Bacon comes from pigs, last I heard, Pork was "the other white meat"...... I think you're safe....
That was my first thought too.

I left out the detail he does not approve chicken or pork either. The only meat he aproves is Alaskan Salmon!!!:confused3
BLASPHEMY!!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

You know... I've been in the middle of several cornfields over the course of my life... during daylight hours and after dark. Let me share a secret. You can push corn plants to the side and walk between them. If you go in a straight line, you'll find your way out. :sad2: This is just a ridiculous story. :headache:

Cornfuzz, you need to go out in the middle of the maze this weekend and start yelling "HELLO, K-9" :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Hey Dads, we just made reservations for Akershus for Christmas Eve, it's a surprise for the girls, but I'm bursting and need to tell someone.....and it's you, yeah, you...

Starting to tweak our plans for our first Christmas as Orlando Residents....we were hoping for CRT for breakfast Xmas day to re-create our first visit as a family, but it was booked, so we decided to give Akershus a shot...

In the meantime, hitting HS this weekend then hoping over to Epcot for Dinner......
They're gonna love it!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Hey Steve, how's the adoption topic going with Ethan?

And another thing about corn - it's planted in straight lines. Pretty easy to walk out of

Well, kind of. For corn mazes they usually plant the field twice (once in a north/south direction, once in an east/west direction), but still... :rolleyes1

You, my friend, are the corn authority around here!!! :worship: :worship:

Anyways, those people were from Massachusetts.... enough said! :lmao::lmao:

Wow no chicken or Pork too! Thats's harsh. I thought I could encourage you by posting a recipe for Salmon Bacon, but alas google has let me down. A search for "salmon bacon recipes" primarily returns recipes which include wrapping Salmon in Bacon not turning Salmon into Bacon.

Thanks for that tidbit of info. I need to figure out a way to work it into conversations today.

Nah just getting ready for marathon weekend. Running gives me a chance to catch up on podcasts (Betamouse, disdads, Wedway radio) and spend a little time just thinking and praying.

Sounds like a very good farewell evening. Thanks for the posts while you were there.

Steve, you can get him to back off by giving him simple facts. In the 18th century, the Choctaw Indians largely subsisted on vegetarian diets. Every single one of them died. In fact, the death rate among vegetarians is 100%.

On a related note, I saw this posted yesterday and thought if anyone would appreciate it, it would be you guys:
