The CNE - haven't been there in a few years. Every now and then I get lured in, but after I leave I seem to remember why I avoid it.

The work news - has to be a bit encouraging. At least your boss is fighting (although rather underhandedly) to keep you.

CNE has always been a tradition, and over the years we know what to do when. Is it cheezy? yeah, but still brings back a lot of fond memories...

Funny how the boss failed to mention THAT part...he can keep me around all he wants to, just DEAL WITH THE PROBLEMS, NOT IGNORE!! I am being really patient with him right now, his dad is in bad shape, and he's not handling too well, but sooner or later.....

I’ve been AWOL for a while and gotten seriously behind on my DIS time. We spent this past Labor Day weekend actually laboring (something I strongly advise against) and I’m getting entirely too old to deal with the muscle aches that kind of overexertion bring about.

I'm sure I’m the last one to actually get around to saying something, but I’m glad to hear from you… sorry to hear about all the trials and tribulations though. Hopefully things will start settling down in the near, and we’ll keep you and your family in mind down this way.

Today has to be better than yesterday! Seemed like everything that could go wrong did yesterday.

Bowling league started last night....after not touching a ball for 6 years, I went and rolled a 199, 142, and 213!

Don't ask me what happened the second game...

Supposed to be on my way to the hospital now for a small surgery (nothing major, having a cyst removed from my inner ear), but just got a call from the hospital canceling my surgery because the power company has somehow cut the power to the hospital.

anyway... just wanted to vent. I know there are probably many people with more serious problems that this has a greater impact on... so what's a couple more weeks??

That drew an actual LOL from me. I'll take it as a compliment. I've been reading through the Kingdom Keepers books - started them to make sure my DD8 was ready for them, and decided that I liked them myself

Oh, to be a DHI and be able to just go to sleep and wake up in the parks!

The BetaMouse folks were talking about it a couple of months ago. It does look cool. Speculation was that the reason they pushed ahead on getting it up and running is to help deal with Magic Kingdom traffic flow that's gotten disrupted by the Fantasyland construction. They want to use the game to draw people over to Adventureland and away from the increasingly crowded Fantasyland walkways.

I was told they've been running on generator power all morning, but I guess they are canceling anything that can be rescheduled just to lessen the load.
