That was quite the storm, sure kept the store quiet this morning.

Love the Toronto Zoo, DW and I have had APs for over a decade now, although we haven't had the scratch to renew for this year. D you know if the penguin exhibit is up and running yet?

It was quite a storm, but then it stopped around 11:30 am, and was a beautiful day afterwards. So we did end up going, and the crowd was very small, I am sure due to the morning rain.

We also have Zoo Memberships, we tend to get it every other year. Our current one expires the end of July, we go often. In fact this was our second time seeing the penguins. And oh, yes the penguins are open. They opened Victoria Day weekend.

They also have Ring Tailed Lemurs now, which is kinda cool.

Here are a couple pics taken both Victoria Day and Yesterday.

My son in front of the sign - he loves penguins.

Hey guys, just popping in for a moment to say hello. I've been MIA most of the week because the past few days have been very interesting, however, to say the least. (Some of you saw this on FB and have commented - thanks guys :grouphug: I appreciate it.)

God bless, Christopher. Family is the most important thing. Sounds like you have a great one! Supportive and loving.

Good News...we had a good day fishing on the River. G-man had a blast and we caught a bunch of fish....

Bad News...he was holding the crickets on the ride home, and dropped the cage in the back of my truck:headache:...guess I'll be serenaded by crickets on the road for a while:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Looks like a great day! Even with the crickets! :lmao::lmao:

just got home from one of many grad parties.:thumbsup2 i had to work this morning and when i came home, my dd (briana) decorated her graduation hat this morning. she walks on wednesday night. i thought id take a pic of it and post it. you cant tell shes my kid.:thumbsup2

Love it!

Hey guys!!!

Checkin in from Hilton Head!! Eventhough we are on vacation I can't help but continue to watch Carl's streaming video!!! Man...August is a long time off for our Disney trip!!!

Chris hang in there with the brat!!! When the sun rises you can send his beverly home!!!

Dave...Brianna cap for graduation looks great!!!

I will check in some this week....between sunburns!!

Have a wonderful restful trip, Steve! Got any good books to read? I'm thinking of checking out Nathaniel Philbrick's new one on the Last Stand (Little Bighorn). I've liked his sailing books (Heart of the Sea and Sea of Glory). Anyone else got any good books planned for vacations this summer?

I'm still waiting for those 24 hours. :lmao:

Sounds like you're owed another present!

Morning fella's :surfweb:

Morning, David!

Have a great day, guys! Carl's feed was a bit choppy from my computer (my computer's problem, I'm sure, not the feed!), so I didn't get to watch much last night. Hopefully today will be better!

I have our Scout end of the year picnic today. Should be fun!

However, I'm doing the exact same thing, listening to the podcast, that is.:rotfl:

Morning guys. Had to get up and clean out the cargo area of DW's small SUV. Our congregation is running an electronic waste collection today, and they're taking e-waste for free. I'm ready to load up the car, and so far I've got one 19" tube monitor, 3 old desktop computers, one TiVo, 3 DVD players, 2 keyboards, and 1 mini notebook (with a dead wireless card).

It's an unfortunate truth that DW wins everytime, it's just easier that way. That's not to say I can't win in the long run, it just takes a lot of tact, stealth and patience;)?

Yeah, I don't even try anymore. We've talked about budgets, read the Total Money Makeover (Dave Ramsey) and while we agree on some - no car payments, 401Ks, Disney vacations - living within a monthly budget is just out for her. We do not have any debt, other than the house, but we don't have any substantial emergency fund either. She loves her credit card too much.

My birthday was last week, my wife got me a card. The outside said: "Because you're my husband, I wanted to give you something really special and out of the ordinary for your birthday..."

The inside of the card said: "So for 24 hours, I'll let you be right."

As someone who is never "right", I'm still waiting for those 24 hours. :lmao:
.

In our almost 11 years of marriage, I have been right 5 times. I wake up and apologize for all the things wrong I will do that day.

Morning all... Nice day today, hoping to get in at least 9 holes at some point. DW's friend just had a child, so she's trying to get me to the hospital to visit, instead of the golf course. Should be an interesting battle...

Carl, feed looks great. Thanks again for doing that! going to enjoy a coffee with a 7 seas lagoon view!

I also found a couple of external enclosures with bad drive controllers, a couple of dead wireless routers, a floppy drive, an an old VCR.

Excellent...trying to visualize where they put the exhibit, was it where the seals used to be? It's my best guess since it's been closed up for a year or so....

Meh, baby won't remember your visit, so golf. With the way the weather is, one should take advantage of the good weather one can get!

That is exactly where it is...They said the refurb'ed, it, but it looks identical to the seals home. I am sure it was more behind the scenes maintenance.

Ummm, that's quite a bit of electronic equipment, don't ya think? :confused3

Terrific point. Golf it is. (As long as DW doesn't tackle me when i sneak out the door. She's 6 months pregnant, so I think I can outrun her...);)
