About screaming kids last night on the webcam!
I ask the kids if they could move to the other hammock and explained that I was streaming to the world.. They said okay.. Then went to the other one and continued to scream.. After the fireworks a woman had the audacity to come into my private cabana a BERATE me because I asked her kids to move!! (Where the peanut butter was she when her kids were doing that!?!??)As they packed up to go back to their resort! She is glad we are in Disney. Instead of my home in philly!!

I think the next time you do this we need to have a few Disdads put a velvet rope in front of the chairs and act as bodyguards. Sort of like Mr. Bubbles in LILO & Stitch :lmao:

Wish you had caught that on webcam! Even well-behaved Carl would have been entertaining (as we watched you tell those folks to move along last night). Have a great day!

Boys up at 6am. The bratty kid asked for bacon with his pancakes already... But he asked for a rematch with DS on Smash Bros. My DS crushed him (which was nice to watch), but what really brought a tear to my eye was listening to his other friends defend DS & root for him over the brat. He probably didn't notice (because of his autism), but I did. Can probably make it to 9am for pickup. Then a day of sports. Have a great day, guys!

Carl, Thank you for all you have done. If we do have awards, you should definitely get one.
Funny story, we were streaming on the 50" last night and very much enjoyed Wishes. When it was over and I was getting ready for bed, DW tells me she has searched and save two trip scenarios for Poly! :cool1: Looks like a short trip in September for us. :cheer2:
Thank you Carl for making this possible. :thumbsup2 == thumb

Oh yea, the view this Morning was great, were did it go?

But, I come to you all with a plea for help. I need an emergent extraction. DW is at her 20th college reunion and I have 7 tween boys and my DD at my house after a movie for a birthday party sleepover. One of the kids, is the biggest spoiled brat I have ever met. As an example, at the movies, when they all got their snack packs (with popcorn, drink, candy), he asked for a medium popcorn as well. Then during the movie, he asked for another candy. Finally, back at our house, he's arguing with DS about how he didn't really lose in Mario Kart, because Jack "cheated" somehow :headache: Then, he wanted a special meal (not the pizza we ordered, which actually, I'm used to so I didn't mind), but then he takes literally one bite of his cake and then throws it away. DW tells me to call his mom to come get him, but I'm going to tough it out. Morning can't come fast enough :woohoo:

Like I often say at home, it doesn't sound like anything a good taser wouldn't take care of... :rolleyes1

Okay so wishes was not so spectacular!! But tonight you will see after wish I will be moving the cam to our room balcony!! Wait and see what view you have!

I'm headed off to bed, but thought I'd mention here that the final Page Views count for the day at disdads.com was 805 for today, thanks to Carl's webcam. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 <---- thumbs

WOW! That's awesome!

Carl: sounds like the stream was great! Unfortunately I was out and away from computers the whole day and missed the whole thing! :headache:

I guess you'll just have to stay down there and do it again.

Morning All!

Carl, the feed was really cool last night, thanks again for doing that. Made me a little anxious to get back there...

Big thanks to Aaron for helping me figure out how to post pictures on the photo blog late last night, and a good chat. This is def. a great board to be a part of.

Off to spend the day with DD. not sure what we have in store, but it's looking like a beautiful day, so probably a lot of parks and ice cream...

Morning Dads...

I think DS and I are going to go to the Toronto Zoo today, he has a project on animals. He has to get 5 facts about an animal, ans take a picture of it. Man, I miss grade 1. :lmao:

DW and DD are out a girl guide camp this weekend, so it's just the boys home now.

so, i have 40 pages to read through.... and that's not going to happen.

just dropping in to say hey, and, rant a little, but not a "real" rant.

About 4 years ago, I disagreed with something my DW was doing around the house. I don't even remember what it was. But, I asked my father "Dad, when it comes to being married, what's a "fight worth having:confused3?""

"Son, there isn't one."

Really, really good advice all things considered.

However, I think I've kept quiet too long. Since my good news promotion, my wife has added a puppy :dog: (Captain Jack Sparrow) to our home, move the 48 inch tv into my DS8's room, and replaced the big TV with a 13 inch TV/VCR combo. Additionally, We moved the DS8's room to the main floor, and moved our room up the stairs. And we got 2 new dressers that have drawers that don't remove, that ALSO had to move upstairs.

I'm thinking it's too late to say something, since all the heavy lifting (literally) is done, but i'm rethinking dad's original advice.
(i'm not a "dog person", and we already have one)

I'd say something... afterall, she can't kick you to the doghouse, Captain Jack Sparrow has already moved in there. :rotfl:

Live Stream - Off Air?

Who do I complain to?????

Carl, you can't offer us cheese, get us in the trap and then remove the cheese. That's cruel and unusual punishment.

Hmmm... still getting Off Air.

Enjoy your day at Epcot.... don't forget Sum Of All thrills - people seem to miss that.

And hopefully we'll be back on the air for Wishes tonight.

Hey guys, just popping in for a moment to say hello. I've been MIA most of the week because the past few days have been very interesting, however, to say the least. (Some of you saw this on FB and have commented - thanks guys :grouphug: I appreciate it.)

Wednesday evening I got a text from my cousin in CA that my grandmother was taken to the emergency room as she had gone into renal failure. Since then it's been a constant watching and waiting for news to trickle in. At first they were saying the docs were estimating 12 hours, but that proved to be untrue. My dad flew down from San Francisco, and my aunt flew down on Thursday morning from Washington state. With my uncle living right there in So. Cal, all three of her kids have been around her since Thursday about noon. Thurs. evening they said she had stopped communicating. By Friday morning they said that she had internal bleeding, and then 3 systems were failing. The docs were amazed that she is still with us. Last evening I got a text that she hadn't been awake, still sleeping, for more than 15 hours. My aunt had been talking with the funeral home to get info and they were starting the planning process for the eventual reality. Then a text came through that a blood test revealed there had been slight improvement with her kidneys and her potassium levels, even though her BP remained very low. As of going to bed last night, they were saying she might be around another day or two. The time zone thing has been very, very frustrating at best. Being on the earlier start of the day end, I sit around and wait til almost noon my time before hearing anything from the west coast. Ugh. My dad said the depending on when she goes, the earliest the funeral would be would be Tuesday, but each passing day adds a day. By this morning, not having heard anything, now the earliest would be Wednesday.

My DW flies out to CA on Monday to spend time with her dad, who is continuing to go downhill himself. So I'll be single parenting while she's gone... and at the same time, trying to figure out who might watch the kids for me so I too can fly west to get to the funeral. DW already asked if she should pack something appropriate to wear for a funeral, which of course I said yes. But we're still watching and waiting, so who knows. My grandmother is fighting and hasn't thrown in the towel yet. She's definitely dealt with a lot in 2011... heart attack, broken hip, cracked ribs, and continuing deterioration of her mental state... and now this. If I were her I would just say I'm ready Lord and be done with it.

Wow, that's tough to watch loved ones going through that.

Our prayers are with the family.
