I know you were really looking forward to this. When will they be back in your area again?

That depends on what they decide regarding the rest of the season. Right now, it looks like Rochester, NY, will be the closest show that our son has scheduled. That would be a 5 hour drive or so in mid-July. His next closest would be down in Oceana, VA (Virginia Beach area), about a 7 hour drive, in September, I think. Aside from that, they are scheduled to be in Baltimore next year.

Sorry to hear that Mike. I know that you've been looking forward to this weekend for a while now.

It was a really good show in Lynchburg and nothing looked wrong to me. I wasn't able to get over to the airport to watch but had a better seat from up on the mountain overlooking the airport and most of the city. Very cool to be able to watch them in the distance setting up for the next maneuver.

The problem occurred on Sunday about 3/4 of the way through. Apparently, a maneuver ended lower than it was supposed to. I don't think many in the crowd realized anything wrong had happened but they did cut the show short and the ground crew did a quick recovery of the jets instead of a full recovery.

I'm sure he didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition!

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!

So I'm sitting here in the dark waiting for the power to come back on. I think I'd rather have the Spanish Inquisition.

Boozer hits Lebron in the face for flagrant 1. Noah fouls across the arm and cries about the officiating. Really, how did the Bulls win that many games this year? I don't think Heat are playing with same urgency as they did in last 3 games, but the baby Bulls need to stop crying...:sad1:

For the next 4 months, life as I know it takes a backseat to all the Bennies that will invade the area for the summer, they haven't arrived yet, but I already can't wait for them to go home:lmao:

"Bennies"? I'm assuming this a term of endearment for summer renters. :confused3

That's what the out of towners that flock to the shore are called:lmao: B-Bayonne, E- Edison, N - Newark but also covers the NewYork area

The crowd in the show The Jersey Shore all fit in this group

I think Rochester would be your best bet. It's a shorter run and you can hang out for an extra day - maybe hang out with your son? That's what I'd try to do if I was in your position.

There might be more rentals availible in this economy, passing houses on the boardwalk they easily rent for $10,000 a week ( a fool and there money easily part) of course those are for houses that are right on the beach:scared1:

I never understood how anyone would want to stay more than a couple days, after working there as a teenager (ran the go carts when they had them:car:) we can only stand a few hours before we want to go home:lmao::scared1:

I thought that it may have ended a little abruptly but wasn't sure. All six only did one pass together at the end and broke off for landing about the time they were passing over the runway. It was just under an hour from the time that Fat Albert went up until they landed so I figured that was the full show.

Wish that I could have gone over to meet the crew but with 30,000 people attending each day, I probably would never have gotten anywhere close.

For anyone who was planning to attend the airshow in Millville, NJ, this weekend:
The Blue Angels have cancelled their appearances in Millville and they remain in a "safety stand down" after an incident during their performance in Lynchburg last weekend. It is not known when they will resume their air show schedule. Safety first!

This is a great disappointment for my wife and I, as well as our son. We hope to get to see them later in the season.

We were going to try to make it, let me know if they plan a later date:confused3, last week we had to make a huge detour coming back from Sesame Place because of a major accident, we ended up passing the entrance of Lakehurst Navel Base, they had a Blue Angel Jet (think it was #4) at the entrance, I'm taking it it's a old one, but I'm surprised that is not one of spots on thier tour:confused3

Need some advice, Gents -

We're staying at CSR in July for 7 nights (myself, DW and DD4), on the DxDP, have 17 credits booked - 7 dinners (8 credits), 5 lunches (6 credits), and 3 character breakfasts (seven character meals total). I was saving one without an ADR for lunch on "arrival day", which has become a full park day now that we'll be leaving a half day earlier than originally planned (we're driving).

So my dilemma is this - do I troll the online booking and hope to get an ADR for somewhere in the MK or do we wing it and try to get into CP or LTT on a whim? And what do I do with the other three credits? Should I just use them for a QS breakfast on the days we don't have one scheduled? I also have no issue scheduling a later-ish lunch (12:30 or 1:00) somewhere else, as the real reason we're hitting MK on our first day is to get the Rapunzel M&G out of the way. I don't want it to be my albatross throughout the week. We have an ADR for Ohana (I'm looking forward to my first meat coma) at 6:00 if that makes a difference.

Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers,
Indy
